Dinner was held in the small dining room, which in Olympus terms meant it only sat twelve and had three chandeliers instead of five.
Papa was at the head of the table. Alexie was to his right, scrolling through his phone like he was monitoring the internet's meltdown in real time. Mario was to his left, eating bread and making eye contact with me every five seconds like he was trying not to laugh.
Campbell was next to me.
Of course he was.
The announcement had gone out an hour ago. My phone, which I'd gotten back ten minutes before dinner, had 300 missed calls. I hadn't opened any of them. We ate in relative silence for the first course. Soup. Something with saffron that tasted like money.
Then Papa set his spoon down. "Vittoria," he said.
I looked up. "Yes, Papa?"
