I gave a small nod.
The Purple Flame Sect's plans were crystal clear to me.
"Is this Purple Flame Sect really that strong?" I asked.
Herman Maxwayne looked my way and nodded. "Absolutely. They've got over twenty martial marquises, several at peak level."
"What else?" I pressed.
Those martial marquises didn't worry me one bit.
As long as no martial saint was involved, I had nothing to fear.
"What else? What are you getting at?" Herman Maxwayne looked puzzled.
I said, "Like a Martial Saint's Weapon? Or the Power of Martial Saint, maybe even a Martial Saint?"
Herman Maxwayne laughed. "Martial saint? If the Purple Flame Sect had one, why would they be hiding out in the Cordelia Kingdom?"
I thought it over. That logic checked out.
With a martial saint backing them, nobody could touch the Purple Flame Sect.
"The entire Maxwayne family only has six martial marquises. We're nowhere near strong enough to fight the Purple Flame Sect." Herman Maxwayne drew a deep breath.
