Tilda Maxwayne pushed open the door and headed straight toward me.
She beamed and said, "Mason, we're really grateful this time. Things could've gone terribly wrong without you."
"Just doing what's right," I nodded.
"How's Mr. Maxwayne doing now?"
Tilda Maxwayne answered, "Dad's fine. He wants you to stay for dinner."
I didn't think twice and said yes right away.
We both stepped out of the room and headed deeper into the Maxwayne Family Manor.
A fancy dinner was already laid out in the villa's main hall.
Servants stood at attention on both sides of the table.
Mr. Maxwayne took the head seat, with his three kids sitting on either side.
"Dad, Mason's here," Tilda Maxwayne led me over to Mr. Maxwayne.
Mr. Maxwayne gestured at me, looking a bit shocked. "Didn't think you'd be this young."
I greeted him, "Nice to meet you, Mr. Maxwayne."
Mr. Maxwayne grinned and pointed to a chair. "Come on, take a seat."
I didn't hesitate and picked a spot to sit.
