Anna Linden glanced at the two of them but ignored them, following the hospital director.
Vera Wells, who had always been on good terms with Anne Sutton at the hospital, walked over and said, "Dr. Sutton."
Anne Sutton glanced at Nathan Fawcett and said, "This is my friend. I'm just going to have a quick word with her."
Nathan Fawcett didn't say a word. It was unclear what he was thinking as he walked ahead, and the butler followed him.
Anne Sutton turned to Vera Wells and asked, "Why is Dr. Linden at our hospital?"
Vera Wells said, "They say she's here for an exchange at our hospital for a while. I can't believe it either. Someone of her caliber, coming to our hospital! I just found out myself."
Anne Sutton said, "For an exchange?"
Vera Wells nodded. Seeing the look of regret on Anne Sutton's face, she asked, "What's wrong?"
