Sean Sutton asked, "What's going on? I was at the hospital. Didn't Nathan Fawcett say you weren't allowed to leave? He seems to really care about you."
"It's all thanks to Charles Prescott," Anne Sutton said. "He found another woman to take care of Nathan Fawcett. Charles just can't stand to see me doing well, or the Sutton family doing well."
Mrs. Sutton asked worriedly, "Is Charles Prescott still giving you a hard time? Is he going too far? If this keeps up, Anne, have your father go talk to Uncle Prescott."
"Uncle Prescott has been abroad this whole time." Anne Sutton didn't think Charles Prescott's father would help them. "Besides, he's always sided with Charles. What good would talking to him do?"
