Wednesday, 11 am, in a temporary office on New York Long Island, the air was quiet with only the busy tones from a phone call continuously sounding.
Ding-a-ling-a-ling—
The ringing went on, unanswered.
After a moment, Luo An took the initiative to hang up the call.
"What's going on?"
The moment the phone call ended, Mona and Chenier immediately came over, Reesi asked anxiously:
"What has happened to Winslow and Michelle? Are they in danger?"
Mona and Chenier, with equally tense expressions, looked towards Luo An. They, like Reesi, suspected that something bad had happened to Winslow and Michelle.
