Lin Yi pointed at two spots on the map with his finger.
"Ying Yi, how long would it take for an empty boat to travel from this position to the city gate's ferry?"
Looking at the map and judging by past experience, Ying Yi speculated,
"Even if it's upstream, half an hour should be enough."
"Half an hour?"
Lin Yi was surprised; it took them twice as long to return, there must be something fishy.
"You say it took us half an hour longer to return on the empty boat, Huang Jian had mentioned this before we took the fast boat."
Lin Yi couldn't figure it out, thus he began talking to himself again.
"If it was due to high waves affecting the speed, it seems unlikely. The boat was stable all the way."
But Ying Yi disagreed, she pointed out that the large boat being stable yet slow could only mean one thing — the boat had become heavier.
"It got heavier, impossible, I was on the boat, there were no more than ten people on it and nothing else was loaded."
