Chapter 506 - 25

(In the MCU Asgardian learn the languages of other race as children so it is unlikely that the Allspeak exists in the MCU.)

Chapter 25: The Little Girl in the Ruins

Thor spent 100,000 points to purchase "Full Racial Language Proficiency."

While Asgard offers numerous language courses, including the rare Groot language, there are simply too many languages in this world for Thor to learn them all.

Walking through the city's ruins, Thor encountered thick smoke, constant gunfire, and shelling, with no sign of the city's former prosperity.

Although this country wasn't friendly originally, their war potential is truly impressive, and their people's resilience is among the best.

It far surpasses a country that claims to have the strongest army in Europe, which managed to resist for less than a month and a half...

Suddenly, Thor's ears picked up a faint cry.

"Help...help me..."

Someone was calling for help. The voice sounded like that of a child.

Thor slowed his pace and followed the sound to a small, single-story house.

He quietly opened the door and stepped inside, quickly spotting a shivering little red-haired girl hiding under the bed.

The girl, who appeared around fourteen or fifteen years old, had large, light blue eyes and looked extremely adorable.

Seeing Thor, she seemed relieved and exclaimed excitedly, "Sir, save me! My parents are dead, and I haven't eaten for three days!"

Just as Thor was about to respond, Miss System's voice echoed in his mind, "Don't answer! There's a catch!"

Thor paused, his expression turning wary.

To his surprise, the girl's demeanor became more relaxed.

It then dawned on Thor that she had been speaking German.

"I'm sorry, sir. I don't know if you're an enemy or an ally, so I had to use this method to confirm. Please forgive me!"

Thor noticed the girl's right hand retracting, possibly from where she had concealed a dagger.

Despite the girl's dusty appearance and lack of bathing for days, her age still rendered her charming.

Men who are handsome are seen as rugged when they are unkempt, while those less attractive are deemed disheveled. Thor, clearly in the former category, received the former description.

"Um... My name is Leah. What's your name, uncle?"

Uncle?!?

Thor had a moment of incredulity.

Though he was over fifteen hundred years old, this was akin to his early twenties for Asgardians, and he still appeared youthful.

Despite his hair being unkempt and his beard grown, how could this little girl see him as an uncle?

"Hahaha..." Miss System laughed heartily.

"Laugh all you want, Thousand year old hag!"

The laughter abruptly ceased.

Thor, disinterested in bickering with a child, offered a warm smile. "I'm Thor Odinson. Nice to meet you."

The girl looked puzzled. "Uncle, are you not Russian?"

Thor shook his head. "No, I ended up here due to some unforeseen events. But rest assured, we are on the same side—we both want to send the Mustache to hell."

"Oh..."

The girl nodded in understanding.

In fact, before the Mustache's downfall, the Soviet Union had cooperated with Western countries, with many resources supported by the United States.

Even if they were slowly turning their backs, victory was on the horizon.

"Then can you take me out of this city? It's too dangerous here."

"Definitely."

With Thor's strength, there was no force in this city that could threaten him, and taking someone along was no trouble.

Especially considering how adorable the girl was.

As night fell and traveling became risky, the two decided to rest in the house for the night and set off in the morning.

"There's something off about this girl!" Miss System's voice echoed in Thor's mind.

Thor shook his head. "Is there? She seems fine to me…"

"As long as she's pretty, you're interested!" Miss System fumed. "Three years later is the best age to start! Pay attention, you fool!"

"I'm not interested; she calls me uncle!"
