Out on the main battlefield, a wormhole opened in midair.
Lunethar stepped through, holding Ethan in one hand.
Ethan was barely more than a mangled heap. Blood still poured from the gash in his forehead. Both arms had been forcibly twisted and broken, and his knuckles and wrists were masses of torn flesh.
Their close-quarters fight might have looked evenly matched, but most of Ethan's punches and palm strikes had been blocked by Lunethar's impenetrable wall of arms.
Lunethar's counterattacks, on the other hand, had been devastating.
Andona and the others were still clearing out the surrounding monsters and had no attention to spare for anything beyond their immediate battles. Feylora, however, had kept watch on the white point of light at the center and spotted the wormhole the instant it appeared.
The power coming through it made her breath catch.
"Everyone, over here!"
Feylora ran toward Seraphine, calling out to the others as she went.
They responded immediately.
