A few hours later,
Sidious arrived in his ship, he could sense the presence of maul and his apprentice,
There were no guards to halt him, as he freely entered the building, yet he sensed something amiss.
'Boom.'
The building suddenly exploded, the impact reaching Sidious before he could use the force to stop it, Sidious was flung back by the explosion, he coughed as his eyes cleared, many burns covered him, even though he had defended against most of the blast, it still injured him.
Sidious watched with enraged eyes as a space ship flew away from him, surely carrying Maul and Savage, he was enraged, how dare they trick him.
He used the force to drag the spaceship back towards him and prevent their escape, but before he could, Maul's forces began opening fire on the sith lord.
Sidous unsheathed his dual sabers to defend himself, quickly dispatching the warriors, all while dragging Maul's space ship down.
Both brothers watched as their forces encircled Sidious, only one thought on their minds, 'He is a monster'.
Maul activated his red saber and the dark saber, Savage raised his dual blade. They waited, Sidious's dark force grew more rampant as he tore down Maul's forces while pulling their spaceship. Maul gripped his saber tighter, even Sidious would be tired after such a feat.
Maul and Savage reached the exit of their ship. Sidious watched, observing Maul.
"How arrogant, to believe that you could face me, even with these petty tricks." Sidious growled, finally pulling the ship down completely, at the same time the last of Maul's forces fell.
The bothers were ready, diving down onto an injured Sidious. They looked at each other, and then charged at Sidious. The Sith lord flew at them elegantly.
The red sabers clashed at intense speed, Savage and Maul worked in unison. Sidious quickly noticed Savage as the weak point. However Maul's ferocity surprised him.
Sidious pushed them back. And sent lightning at the brothers. Maul and Savage blocked, Sidious suddenly concentrated his strength at Savage, a force push sent him flying.
Seeing his brother hurt, Maul remembered what he was fighting for, the consequences of loss. He looked at Sidious with increasing ferocity.
'I was right, his strength comes from that apprentice of his' Sidious] mused to himself.
Maul leapt at Sidious, every clash furthering his hatred, anger and desperation, His master still managing to push him back even though he was injured.
But as Savage joined him. Sidious could see the battle go out of his control.
The Brothers elevated each other, their minds and bodies in sync.
Sidious was enraged, they had planned well, fighting through his injuries from the blast and the exhaustion of his earlier feats, He was being pushed back, Sidious tried to find an opening. But there were none. He held many techniques, but no time to enact them and with every strike he felt his old body tire further.
Sidious composed himself, he found opportunities to strike down the brothers, but all of them risked getting cut, or worse losing an arm.
He planned on facing the likes of Yoda and Windu, getting injured any further here would ruin his plans, so he decided to fall back.
Sidious concentrated, surging power through his body. He leaped backward, and then shot devastating lightning from his hands.
The Brothers were caught off guard. They blocked the lightning, just barely.
The crackling of thunder and the intense light surrounded them, and then abruptly, it stopped.
Along with the lightning, Sidious was gone as well. Maul looked around, spotting the hooded Sidious, retreating. Savage and Maul chased him.
"There can only be two, and from this day you are no longer my apprentice" Sidious scowled as he regarded the brothers "Accept my mercy, and die. Struggle any further, and you will suffer a fate you cannot even imagine, worms" Sidious finished, still retreating.
Savage could barely hold the urge to pounce at the hooded Sith. But stopped, seeing his brother's hand signaling him to stop. Savage understood this was a trap. 'Master is never so obvious with his tricks, perhaps we rattled him.'
Sidious got on his space craft, knowing well that staying would give time for more of maul's forces to appear and would prove disadvantageous, Sidious predicted that Maul would fizzle out in the chaos of the clone wars and if not, he can just be dealt with later.
Maul made no effort to stop him, though he wanted to end Sidious, he knew if Sidious decided to take risks and go all out, they may damage him, but they wouldn't win, not against Sidious. Maul watched the craft fly out of orbit, sighing in relief.
