Son Goku's figure slowly rose skyward and finally stopped, hovering at the same level as Zeltron.
Zeltron stared silently at Goku, wary but silent. He knew that Goku had trained under gravity on the Universe spacecraft while traveling from Earth to Namek, greatly increasing his power level.
With the 2x Kaio-ken, Goku's power level reached about 180,000.
Yet even with 180,000 power level, facing Frieza was still daunting, barely enough to be noticed.
If Goku fought Frieza now, he wouldn't complete the transformation into Super Saiyan and would likely be killed instantly.
If Goku died, Zeltron's plan to collect s-cell attributes would be ruined.
'Looks like I'll have to help Goku myself.'
After mulling over this silently, Zeltron responded:
"Zeltron."
"Zeltron?"
Goku repeated the name softly, committing it to memory. A confident smile spread across his face.
"You're really strong. The Saiyan blood in me is boiling—I want to fight you!"
Zeltron wasn't surprised.
Goku was also Saiyan, naturally warlike. Seeing such strength stirred the fighting spirit in him.
But Krillin and Son Gohan were frightened.
Challenge Zeltron?
"Goku, do you know what you're doing? Even the terrifying Captain Ginyu was defeated easily. Fighting Zeltron is asking for death!"

Goku clenched his fist confidently:

Before Goku could answer, Zeltron cut him off:
"Yes, I accept your challenge!"
"Really? Great!"
Overjoyed, Goku prepared to fight.
Meanwhile, on King Kai's planet, the real King Kai stomped angrily, shouting:
"Goku, what are you thinking? I told you not to challenge Zeltron or Frieza! Just get Gohan and Krillin back to Earth immediately!"
But Goku, ignoring King Kai's warning, was ecstatic like a young child.
"Before we fight, I have one condition!"
Goku's excitement paused when Zeltron interrupted:
"Condition?"
"What condition?" Goku asked, curious.
"Fight both members of the Ginyu Force still standing!" Zeltron stated seriously.
Goku, Son Gohan, Krillin, and the others blinked in confusion and awkwardness.
Recoome and Jeice's hearts tightened.
'Why fight us?!'
"Why do you want me to fight them?" Goku asked, eyeing Recoome and Jeice suspiciously.
Zeltron naturally didn't reveal his true motive—to collect power level attributes.
"I want to see how strong you really are." Zeltron said with a straight face.
Convinced, Goku smiled brightly:
"Then prepare yourself! I'll show you my true power!"
Zeltron's heart raced in anticipation:
'With Goku's current power level battling Recoome and Jeice, I can gain a massive boost.'
'And if I can also pick up Goku's Kaio-ken attribute…'
Kaio-ken doubles power level.
Zeltron's power level was 43.26 million now. Even if Goku used 10x or 20x Kaio-ken, it would make him formidable—even golden Frieza wouldn't handle Goku or Zeltron easily.
With Kaio-ken, Zeltron was confident standing alongside Goku against Frieza, collecting dropped power level attributes as they fought.
"You two—if you can beat him, I'll let you go!"
Zeltron told Recoome and Jeice.
"Really? What do you say?!"
Recoome and Jeice smiled with excitement.
Though neither believed they could defeat Zeltron, Goku was a different matter.
In their eyes, Goku was no threat.
"Do you think I'd lie?" Zeltron said seriously, staring down Jeice.
Yes, they thought Zeltron was joking about Goku.
Just as the system chimed in Zeltron's mind, they heard:

Recoome flew down from the sky and landed beside Jeice.
Goku also dropped down, forming a triangle of opposition with Recoome and Jeice.
"What's going on?"
Krillin looked up at Goku, Recoome, and Zeltron, dazed and confused.
He had no idea why Zeltron urged Goku to fight Recoome.
While Krillin, Son Gohan, and others puzzled, Toss and Rapp on Zeltron's side shared strange expressions.
"Zeltron-sama really likes watching fights."
"Yes, when he was on the Universe ship, he often made others fight for him to watch!"
What Toss and Rapp didn't know was Zeltron didn't care about watching fights—he only cared about collecting power level attributes dropped during combat.
