Chapter 174 - DxD 0174: Finale

"I've had enough of you all." Loki created multiple layers of magic circles that released a beam of light toward the sky.

"He's going to rain divine punishment upon us," Rossweisse said, struggling to move under the suppression of Loki's pressure. "He wishes to use the destruction to breach through the dimension."

"Yeah, real descriptive," Abaddon rolled his eyes as the sound of plasma filled the entire dimension and the sky turned blue. He hummed for a moment, thinking of how much of his strength he should show. "Fine." Abaddon created a magic circle under his feet that released a torrent of destruction energy downwards.

‹TRANSFER›

The torrent suddenly intensified by multiple magnitudes and started spreading all around.

"What the hell are you doing?" Rossweisse shouted. "You will kill us before Loki does."

"Shut it white," Abaddon said, focusing on releasing even more of his Power of Destruction. "Now." He spoke to himself as the released torrent instantly stopped and started spreading around.

At this point, the shower of thick beams had started raining down. The first beam hit the ground, destroying a huge chunk of it.

"If even a single one of those beams hits us, we will be completely out of commission," Rias commented as she took flight and started dodging. "Do it quickly, Abaddon. Things are getting worse."

"Yeah, yeah," Abaddon said while shaking his head. "Whiny babies." The Destruction Power that he had released suddenly spread out completely, forming a huge dome under Abaddon that enveloped every single person other than himself. He took a heavy breath as Loki's attacks all got destroyed by his dome that protected everyone.

"How noble, leaving yourself wide open just to save your friends," Loki said mirthfully. "Even I feel moved by your actions. Sadly, I have a far more glorious purpose." The god snapped his fingers as all of the energy suddenly turned away from its focus and moved to assault Abaddon instead.

"You'd think that, wouldn't you?" Abaddon asked as he created magic circles all around himself.

"You cannot defend against my attack with such flimsy —" The god choked on his words as Abaddon's magic circles seemed to all absorb his attacks as one more formed, facing him. The absorbed attacks were all released in his direction as Loki was suddenly the one being forced to defend himself against his own barrage of attacks.

"Neat trick, isn't it?" Abaddon asked, pulling back his dome of Destruction to allow the others to see his and Loki's fight. "It took me months to create the spell." Even as he spoke the words, his boosts were charging up already, enhancing him by many factors. "Now, will you just give up already? Odin's already signed the pact, I don't see what you aim to achieve at this point."

"Impossible," The god extended his arms outward and created more magic circles.

"I got you!" At this point, the underdog of the event, Aika, who hadn't particularly done anything through the fight, pointed her finger in Loki's direction, releasing very minute weak beams of energy.

"If you think that's going to affect me —" Loki shut up instantly as he saw the summoning circles that he had created being destroyed.

"That's my pawn …" Abaddon smiled appreciatively at Aika.

"I understand," Rossweisse spoke out into the air before turning up to Abaddon. "Red Dragon Emperor. Odin-sama sends his regards." With her words, a natural breach from the outside opened up in the dimension as a deep blue light shone upon the ground.

"Blow after blow," Abaddon said, shaking his head. "Your biggest problem is here now, Loki."

"Mjolnir!" The god screamed. "Just how far are you going to get in my way, Odin!" The god released everything he had in a torrent of energy that shook the entire dimension.

"Stop it, Loki-sama," Rossweisse exclaimed. "Are you trying to destroy the Underworld?"

"It's cute that you think that the underworld's space is weak enough to be destroyed by such meager pressure," Abaddon said to Rossweisse, who suddenly blushed at his words. He would've teased her further had he noticed her reaction, but his focus was on taking care of Loki.

"I'll kill you all!" The god screamed, his pressure intensifying enough that the others weren't even able to stand on their feet, falling to the ground helplessly.

"I'll see about that." Abaddon disappeared from his position mid-air and appeared within the beam of light that contained the hammer. Grasping its handle, he swung it around a few times.

"Not bad, not bad at all," He made a heavy horizontal swing and infused it with Destruction energy that got amplified and spread throughout the dimension and temporarily nullified Loki's pressure. "The balance on this thing is immaculate," He said appreciatively as Loki threw multiple beams of light at him, all of which he deflected with relative ease.

"Damnit, damnit all!" The god screamed, feeling insulted at his current state. "Damn you, Odin!"

As Abaddon was busy toying around with Loki, a white magic circle appeared at the edge of the battlefield.

"Shall we?" Vali said, sharing a look with a handsome blonde man who had glasses on.

Arthur Pendragon nodded and pulled a glowing sword out of its sheath, "Excalibur Ruler, the Holy Sword of Control," The man spoke with a sigh.

As Arthur took out his sword, Bikou jumped onto the battlefield and moved to Saji, Kiba, Irina, and Xanovia, who were all busy making sure that Fenrir stayed suppressed. No one's attacks were strong enough to do any real damage to the wolf, so the best they could do was to suppress it on the basis of their abilities and numbers.

They only realized that the man had appeared once he was in front of them. "Allow me to take this little friend off of your hands, guys," Bikou extended his palm and released chains that contained a deep purple aura that seemed to weaken Fenrir by their mere presence. "The Chains of Glepnir are perfect to take over your tasks." As the chains started wrapping around the wolf, Saji's Absorption Line automatically got disconnected as if unwilling to get affected by the chains.

Xenovia and Kiba both moved to intercept the man, but he deflected their attacks with his staff that extended and jabbed Kiba in the chest and Xenovia in the stomach, throwing them both back. Irina flew down at him, but he sidestepped her attack and hit her back with his staff.

"I do not have any plans to fight you people," He said as the chains completely suppressed the wolf. "Vali." He called out as a white magic circle appeared under both him and Fenrir, teleporting them to his group. Arthur stabbed his Excalibur into the wolf's head the moment it appeared, completely ceasing its actions.

During this time, Loki, as enraged as he was about the seeming betrayal, had no way of expressing his feelings. He was too caught up with Abaddon's attacks. The moment he opened his mouth, he would get hit with the hammer while Abaddon was swinging it around randomly.

"Would you look at the time?" Abaddon said. "Don't interfere further, Vali. Otherwise, I'm more than happy to use my new toy to beat your skull in."

"Our fight will also come, Red Dragon Emperor," the white-haired man said. "Sooner than you think." He cast a teleportation circle under himself and his group.

"Whatever you say. Buddy," Abaddon said. "Just make sure to pass my gift on to your friends in a timely manner."

Vali raised his brow at Abaddon's words just as he disappeared.

"Now, to finish things up," Abaddon smacked Loki with the hammer with a blow that sent the god tumbling down to the ground. A cloud of dust rose as a crater was formed where Loki crashed.

‹TRANSFER›

Abaddon answered his boosts to his strength before slamming his hammer downwards, crashing right after Loki to smash the hammer at the god.

"What do you know," He said with a smile, "Gods do bleed, and pretty violently at that." Loki's current state was abysmal at best. "Let's seal you up before you bleed to death." Abaddon placed the hammer on top of Loki while invoking the infused sealing magic embedded within.

A similarly colored deep blue magic circle appeared on top of Loki as the god attempted to weakly resist while twitching, but it was futile as the created magic circle completely disappeared along with Loki.

"So is this mine now?" Abaddon said out loud. "Like it didn't disappear with Loki …"

"N-no," Rossweisse came floating toward Abaddon, panicking at his words, "Mjolnir is an extremely important artifact in the Norse Pantheon. The reason it didn't disappear is that it is essentially impossible to teleport it anywhere. That is why Odin-sama took so long to get to us. He had to send it to us physically since it cannot jump between dimensions."

"Calm down," Abaddon said with a little smile. "I'm just kidding. Didn't I tell you to stop being so stuck up all the time?"

"I'm not stuck up!" She got defensive, "I'm just … deeply unattractive and boring, which is why I can't capture any man's heart!~ Waa~" The most talented and respected Valkyrie of Odin broke down in tears over her currently single status, leaving Abaddon and the rest speechless.
