As Abaddon kept Loki occupied, the rest of the groups were all embroiled in their respective fights.
Rias and Sona were working together to fight the two clones of the Miðgarðsormr, with Sona working to restrain the dragons while Rias attacked them with her Destruction magic.
"Keep holding them down," Rias said as she relentlessly sent blasts of Destruction energy at the two dragons, slowly destroying their bodies.
"Easier said than done," Sona grunted with her hands extended forward as she maintained two huge, identical serpents made of water that were coiled around the two clones. The clones were resisting fiercely, desperately trying to free themselves, making it very difficult for Sona to keep them down.
"Just keep holding them," Rias said. "I'll take them down in one fell swoop." She pulled her hands together and gathered a concentrated sphere of crimson and black that slowly got larger and larger. Her wings extended out of her back as she took flight while continuing to focus on enlarging the destruction sphere.
"I can't hold them down much longer, Rias," Sona said with a strained voice. Sona grunted and just as her water snake was about to be dispelled, Rias let her sphere of destruction directly at the maw of the dragon clone. It released a horrid screech as its entire existence was vaporized into nothingness.
Rias took a few deep breaths after destroying the dragon, before her eyes widened as she heard the whistling sound of plasma. In an instant, she created multiple magic circles to defend herself from the source, which was the second dragon that was now free.
"Sona!" Rias called out as her friend did her best to gather up the water to create another giant snake, but the attack was already fired. Tsubaki appeared in the path of the attack as it collided with her Sacred Gear, Mirror Alice, instead of Rias' abruptly generated shields. The mirror was destroyed, and the attack reflected at twice the intensity as Tsubaki turned her head to look at Rias for a brief nod before moving on, conjuring another Mirror to protect someone else.
The dragon clone roared loudly as half of its maw was scorched by its own attack that was reflected at it, before it could do anything more, it was restrained by Sona's regenerated water dragon.
"Go fuck yourself," Rias screamed and released a thick torrent of Destruction at the snake-like dragon, slowly destroying its existence.
As Rias and Sona were fighting their dragon, the others were all embroiled in their own battles.
Akeno and Koneko were working with well-coordinated attacks to keep Sköll busy. The child of Fenrir was just as dangerous as its father, as its fangs had also inherited a weaker version of the god-killing power. So Koneko especially had to be wary of being hit by attacks. Akeno was airborne, continuously distracting the world with point-blank teleported lightning attacks and some elemental spells to keep it busy while Koneko momentarily came up to the wolf to punch it before jumping back before it could try to get her.
Mid-air, Koneko's ears and tail were released as an aura of natural energy surrounded her.
"Koneko-chan …" Akeno was surprised at Koneko's actions.
"It's fine," She said, her gaze momentarily flickering to Abaddon, who was keeping Loki at bay with minimal effort. "I'm going to make sure not to lose control. And if I do … he will help me," Her words hit Akeno like a truck.
"It seems that the event with your sister was a bigger deal for you than we made it out to be, Fufu~" Akeno defaulted to her usual teasing tone.
'I wish I could do that, Koneko-chan …' She thought to herself, a blue bolt of lightning flickering over the tip of her finger as she snuffed it out, not being able to bear to even look at it. 'Unfortunately, it seems that it will be impossible for me to put my past behind …'
"Senpai!" Koneko's shout pulled Akeno back to the fight as she sent multiple thick bolts of lightning at Sköll, stunning it momentarily as Koneko's fist glowed with a blue flame, imbued with Senjutsu. She punched the wolf right in the jaw, causing a crunching sound to come from the point of contact. The wolf whimpered and staggered as its jaw hung loose.
"One more round," Akeno said. She created a large magic circle in the air and attacked the wolf with her lightning once again. This time, Koneko also threw blue flaming orbs of natural energy at the wolf, aiming to incapacitate it in one go. Even as the wolf seemed stunned, a purple glow surrounded it, freezing it in time, completely stopping it in its tracks as Koneko's final Senjutsu-enhanced punch put it out of commission for the rest of the fight.
"Thanks, Gaspy …" Koneko said, looking over at the hyperventilating Gasper, who showed a stressed smile as Asia comforted him.
Next up were Kiba, Xenovia, and Irina, all of them focusing on dealing with the biggest threat of them all, Fenrir. Unlike Hati and Sköll, who were weaker copies of the wolf and the Miðgarðsormr clones who barely had a fraction of the strength of the Dragon King, Fenrir was the real deal, the god-killing wolf.
The wolf jumped up into the air to attack Irina, who was airborne, but Saji pulled it down with his Absorption Line, "Down you go." It fell directly on a field of swords that was created by Kiba using his Sword Birth Sacred Gear. It howled angrily as the swords attempted to stab into its thick hide, and the suppression of the Absorption Line weakened it. It turned its head to bite through the suppressive line, but Irina and Xenovia were quick to draw their swords and slash at the wolf, preventing it from freeing itself momentarily by slashing its neck.
Its head moved at an unfathomable speed, and it slammed into Irina just after she slashed at it, throwing her away. "Irina!" Xenovia exclaimed, her Durandal glowing with Holy energy as it slashed at the wolf with multiple times the previous power. It was stunned for a few seconds as Kiba took Xenovia's place and took on the suppressed wolf.
Meanwhile, Xenovia brought Irina to Asia, "Please heal her soon, Asia-san. We need her back on the battlefield now." With the words, Xenovia flew back over to Kiba, who was having a hard time restraining the wolf. Eventually, Kiba was forced to jump back to not get stabbed by its fangs. That led to it moving its maw to the Absorption Line.
"No, you don't," Xenovia said loudly as she slammed her heavy sword at the wolf's neck, making it whine and howl as it roared at her, making her jump back.
"We aren't even getting through its thick hide," Kiba commented.
"We don't need to kill it, just to suppress it long enough."
"Easier said than done," Kiba said with a wry expression as he approached the recovered wolf once again, slashing his sword at it as Xenovia followed his lead. Soon, Irina rejoined the fight, and the three worked together to keep the wolf suppressed with Saji's Absorption Line.
On another part of the battlefield, Rossweisse was in front of another clone of the Miðgarðsormr while giving some of her attention to the magical exchange between Abaddon and Loki. 'How interesting … I never even thought that magic could be used in such a manner.' She was fascinated by the spells that Abaddon and Loki were exchanging.
Bringing her focus to her opponent, the Valkyrie floated using her natural flight ability and created multiple blue magic circles signature of Norse magic that all rained down countless bolts of energy at the serpent, who roared and repelled the attack by breathing a thick torrent of fire that approached Rossweisse. She created a circle in front of herself that absorbed the torrent, and it passed out of another circle that appeared behind her, sending the flames behind her.
This time, she spread out her circles, releasing the bolts of energy with quite a lot of distance between them. The huge body of the dragon clone became a disadvantage to it as it couldn't dodge and block all of the attacks, many of them getting through its defenses. As it roared in pain. It eventually stopped caring about its injuries and focused on attacking Rossweisse, who was forced to go on the defensive to keep herself safe. Eventually, she came out on top and delivered a decisive blow. The dragon's huge, injury-riddled body fell limp on the ground as a large amount of blood escaped the head of the dragon through multiple holes.
The woman looked around the battlefield and saw that most of the fights had already finished, with the young devils working in coordination to suppress the necessary monsters.
"How damned troublesome." Loki's deep, frustrated voice came out as a godly decree as the god released a level of power that most of the fighters couldn't even imagine. A deep pressure was released from the god that truly signified his position as a god in the mythological world.
"You will all die today, be honored that it was at the hands of a God."
