"I understand but question, will i meet better people than him" David asked this time, with his thoughts
He didn't know how a mental connection worked so the best option was just to think to himself and hope that Nous hears him
[There are indeed talents that are better than him, however, i can only simulate the future, i cant say for certain that you will]
"I thought you were omniscient… you know with the connection to the akashic record and all?"
[Sir, it is a record, a record only keeps what has happened and records what is happening thus my knowledge is limited to all of the past and the present, i can only simulate the future] Nous replied
For the first time, David could hear some form of emotion in Nous's voice, it sounded almost as though it was disappointed in his misunderstanding
"Okay but the most i can do is to hire him as a driver" David replied
He didn't know what type of talent the man had but if Nous was recommending him then it must be great. Taking a deep breath, David looked up his name on the app through the floating window in front of him before turning back
[A list of cars fitting your preferences has been compiled, review them at your own convenience] Nous replied
As soon as David approached the car again, he could see the man. Looking at him properly, he found the man to be on the younger side, probably in his early thirties or late twenties.
The man had opened a little space in the windows to allow air in but prevent anyone from reaching in, his seat was reclaimed meaning that he was prepared to wait.
Looking at him, David immediately remembered his years of wishful thinking. How he would help the poor and blah blah but thinking back, as soon as he got the money, the first thing he had thought of was himself and how he would use the money and nothing else.
"It might as well be his lucky day" David whispered as he knocked on the window
"Ah sir, you're back already" he said as he quickly sat up and brought his seat to its proper position and unlocked the doors.
"No, I came back to call you, lets go together" David said
"Eh…" The man replied in shock
It was the expected reaction, if not for Nous he wouldn't be making such a request just due to the fact that it was that strange.
"Okay sir" The man replied as he awkwardly stepped out of the car.
Seeing this, David stepped back a bit before deciding to fully commit to it. This concerned someone's future so it was best not to do it hapharzardly as he initially was.
"What talent does he possess?" Dvid finally asked and almost instantly, a holographic window appeared before him.
=====

Looking at the simple profile Nous had generated, David immediately began to understand what Nous meant. He may not know where a B-rank talent could be placed but if it was the standard F-A ranking system that had recently grown popular then the man before him would be a demon if trained.
"B rank talent and yet he looked just normal" David commented as they continued walking to the entrance of the hypermarket.
The man, Ibrahim truly didn't look the part of a B-rank Talent in such a physically demanding field, he was lean though not lanky and looked like every other Nigerian of his age.
For him to be a B-rank talent meant that his natural strength limit was high before training so it wasn't about how he looked. With that thought in mind, David stopped hesitating and immediately decided to do whatever it took to get Ibrahim to his camp.
"After all the 'Money no dey' wey people dey talk, shoprite is still full" Ibrahim whispered but David heard it and immediately chuckled
"It is just how things are, no matter how bad the country is getting, there are people that will always have more moneymoney to spare on luxuries than others" David replied
"Abi, anyway sir, what do you need my help with?" Ibrahim asked finally
"You finally asked" David said as he chuckled
For the past 10 minutes of walking, The man had been fighting within himself, his expressions said it all.
"I plan to hire you, don't worry the pay is good" David said outright
"Eh? Sir, do you mean it?" Ibrahim asked
"Naturally, how does 5000 naira per day sound?" David asked but the question really was for Nous than Ibrahim
[that's 150,000 naira per month, it's a high amount for a driver but an excellent one considering his talent] Nous replied
"That's 150k per month, sir"
"I know, it will increase depending on how well you do but room and board is provided.. Don't worry it can accommodate your family as well, sponsorship if you do have any children" David continued.
In getting subordinates, the main thing to go for was their loyalty but that was something that no one could really buy or force
Hence buy their future and hold it tight then they would guard you like they were guarding their future.
"Sir isn't this too much, what type of work are you even hiring me for?" Ibrahim finally asked, making David turn back to the man
Now that they stood close, David noticed the man towered over him a bit and he stood at a height of 6'3ft or 190cm or 1.9m tall
"It's simple, I want you to be both my driver and my guard. You will accompany me wherever I go. Don't worry, I am not involved in anything that will get me killed but as a company head, you never know" David replied
"Bodyguard, sir I don't think you are picking the right person, I don't even have the body for it"
"Then we will train you until you are capable of it, salary is guaranteed during this time too" David clarified
Hearing this, Ibrahim stood there and watched as the young man before him turned around and continued walking
Everything that had happened since he met this man seemed strange. First, his app had pinged him as a customer even if he was over 10 kilometers away from him.
Next he was strangely invited to come with him for shopping and now he was being offered a job.
Ideally as an Uber driver he made more than the job offered but then he was an Uber driver, it was his main source of income.
This was a job that is supposed to earn him over 200,000 naira in a good month but when the costs are taken away, it's barely 25,000.
He didn't own the car so he rented it and almost everyday there was a guaranteed fender bender or some minor accident of some kind due how frequent he was on the road.
Feeding, fuel etc, all these things took a lot out of his income so this offer might as well be God sent.
However everything seemed too beneficial, he may have not been the smartest in school but he knew when things were suspicious.
"But then no risk no gain, Kabiru no go grow up like me" Ibrahim said before making his way to meet the man who was now standing in front of a store.
They said that the duty of a parent was to strive so that your kids would never experience the same hardships as you did or at least not to the same extent.
David watched the man contemplate his choices from afar as he waited in front of the store.
"So do you accept?" David asked
"I will be in your care" Ibrahim answered as a wide smile appeared on David's face.
"Good, now let's go.. We both need to look the part" David said as he hung his arm over the man's shoulder before dragging him into the store.
David didn't know if it was a popular store or not, but from asking questions, he had heard that they made tailor made suits hence he was here.
Buying a suit was good but tailor made ones lasted longer and fit better.
"Nous, scan me and him, give me measurements, colors and parameters needed"
[Coming up soon] Nous replied before a window appeared in the corner of his vision with all the parameters he wanted.
Without hesitation, he simply passed it all on to the assistant and made a large order and where to be delivered.
After that, he bought some shoes for both himself and Ibrahim, and some other needed clothes as well.
It turned out that Ibrahim did have a family as he had predicted. The man had a wife and a son named Kabiru, David decided to buy some gifts for them as well.
Seeing the man smile as he loaded them into the car, David thought back to his own family.
His father wasn't exactly out of the picture but he might as well be, his mother was dead and even if they all pretended otherwise, he and his siblings had long since gone their separate ways.
