Kaneki: Yeah the movie was pretty fun surprisingly.
As class was about to begin, Kaneki was still talking to Itsuki and Keiko with the current topic being about the movie he watched with his family on the day before.
Keiko: Really? Wow are old movies really that scary?
Kaneki: Surprisingly yes. I could tell you guys the names of some of the ones I've watched for you two to check out.
Kotori: Psst! Kaneki-chan! Have a moment?
Kaneki: Oh hey Onee-chan.
Itsuki & Keiko: Ai-san!
Kotori then seemingly appeared right beside the three before calling out to Kaneki.
Kaneki: What's up? You need something?
Kotori: I have a warning to give you my dear brother.
Kaneki: What? Is it something serious?
Kotori: Yes. Be careful around your friends because your heart might end up bursting out of your chest. That is all.
After giving such a vague warning, Kotori walked away and say down at her desk.
Itsuki: What... Was that all about?
Kaneki: Don't ask me. That was a bit vague.
Keiko: She definitely means the girls right?
Itsuki: Yeah. It's definitely them.
Kaneki: Hmm~ I wonder what she means by my heart bursting out? I mean I can do it myself anyways.
Itsuki: Don't you dare pull your actual heart out.
Kaneki: I won't~
???: Everyone! Querxes sensei is coming!
But as one of the students of their class saw Querxes coming, every student went to their seats.
Shino: Wow that was so close.
Chikao: Yeah good thing we made it in time.
And one by one the Higanbana girls were coming back in the class.
"Be careful around your friends because your heart might end up bursting out of your chest."
As they entered, Kotori's warning replayed in Kaneki's head although he wasn't really worried.
Kaneki: Oh well what could they even do to make my chest burst out of my chest?
Few minutes later~
Querxes: Now everyone, take your English books and read the story on page 84 and once you're done answer the questions correctly on page 86.
Kaneki: Alright good thing I understand english.
As Kaneki took out his English book and was preparing to read.
Screech~
Yuuka: There we go.
Kaneki: Eh? Yuuka?
Yuuka had sudden moved her own chair and desk right beside Kaneki's.
Querxes: Mirai-san what are you doing?
Yuuka: Hehe~ Sorry Sensei I've forgotten my English book so I'm going to need to borrow Kaneki's.
Querxes: Eh? But your seat is far away from- oh to hell with it. Kaneki are you fine with it?
Kaneki: I don't really mind.
Yuuka: Nice! Thanks Kaneki.
Kaneki: No problem.
Yuuka then sat right beside Kaneki intending to share his book, or so he thought.
Yuuka's thoughts*
(I didn't actually left my book I just wanted to to approach Kaneki, luckily sensei approved of it. Now time for me to attack)
Yuuka: Let's do our best, Kaneki oh but don't try to copy my answers okay?
Kaneki: Why would I do that?
Yuuka: I'm kidding.
After their little exchange Kaneki began to quietly read the story on his book.
Grip~
Kaneki: Hmm?
And as he was reading, he felt something touching his hand softly and giving it a soft grip as well.
Kaneki's thoughts*
(Something soft is touching my hand)
Curious to what could be touching his left hand, Kaneki looked underneath the table to see Yuuka's own hand wrapping around his own.
Kaneki: What?
He didn't know why she was holding his hands and as he look.
Yuuka: Hey Kaneki need something?
She was looking at him with a bright and cute face, and upon witnessing this.
Doki! Doki! Doki!
Steam~
Kaneki had gotten a bit flustered, his face had turned a bit pink and small amounts of steams were coming out of his head.
Kaneki: N-Nothing.
(What the heck was that? That strange feeling felt familiar)
He didn't quite understand the feeling he just experienced, but he didn't do anything to stop Yuuka from holding his hand.
A few minutes later~
Eventually Kaneki had finished reading and answered all of the questions on the subject.
Yuuka: Nice I'm done as well.
Same goes for Yuuka and she was still holding onto his hand.
Yuuka: You did well Kaneki, good job.
Kaneki: T-Thanks.
He was still very flustered but didn't tell Yuuka anything out of embarrassment.
Yuuka's thoughts*
(Man this is so much! I can't believe I'm actually doing this!)
Luckily Yuuka felt a similar way, even though she held his hands on several occasions before. This time was different and she felt completely flustered.
(Calm down Yuuka! You don't want to run away like a coward! If you're able to endure this you'll definitely be able to face him properly once you go and apologize.)
While she was holding his hand. Yuuka continuously encouraged herself to continue all for the sake of apologizing to him.
But as she looked around the class she saw Miku looking at them.
(Just a bit more, and it looks like Miku is going to do something soon)
She knew that Miku was thinking of something.
Yuuka: Thanks for the help Kaneki, I'll be putting my stuff back at my spot in a few minutes.
Kaneki: Sure.
So before Miku could act she decided to do one last thing before going back to her spot in the class as she can't hold onto Kaneki's hands forever.
Yuuka: But before that.
Chu~
Kaneki: !!!
Yuuka: You can take that as a thanks.
She gave him a little kiss on the cheek, just fast enough that no one noticed except for Miku who was watching and Sachi who was Kaneki's seatmate.
And as for Kaneki.
Thud!
Upon receiving the kiss on his cheek his head fell to his table.
Steam~
Sachi: Kaneki?!
With more steam coming out of his head.
Kaneki: I'm alright! The answers were just a bit hard.
Kaneki did try to cover what had happened but~

They knew very well something had happened.
Kaneki's thoughts*
(What did she just do?! What just happened?!)
Kaneki himself didn't understands why he had reacted this way and was very confused.
Kotori: Should have listened to my warning, Kaneki-chan. But this is a fun sight to see.
While Kaneki was getting more flusteredz Kotori just happily watched on the side.
A few hours later~
Lunchtime*
Lunchtime has arrived and as usual Kaneki was eating with the Higanbana girls and with an extra addition.
Kotori: Mmmh~ so good! Chi-chan is a very good cook huh?
Chikao: I have to take care of myself after all.
Kotori had joined them at lunch and happily eating with them.
Natsuki: It's great to have you here, Kotori-san.
Sachi: Yeah! It's an honor!
Kotori: Thanks. By the way I'm thinking of joining a club.
Shino: Really? Do you have any in mind?
Kotori: I have 3 options: your Guy's club, the music club and and the manga club.
Miku: Wait what? I understand why you would have the music and our club as options but why the Manga club?
Kotori: Simple I like to to draw things. And let me tell you it's not easy but very fun.
Natsuki: We know! After all we did made that drawing of Kaneki that eventually became his Knight form.
Sachi: That's right!
Kaneki: Good for you but I think you should talk to Itsuki regarding our club, it has been inactive for quite a while now.
Miku: Yeah I think it's because of Onii-chan being you know know the Hero of Hell and Atlantis. Hayakawa-kun did made it as a fan club.
Yuuka: Hmm~ yeah that might be the case.
Shino: Maybe you should go talk to him about it now?
Kotori: Know what? You're right I'll be right back.
Kotori then got up to talk to Itsuki about the club.
Miku: Finally she is gone.
Natsuki: Miku still doesn't like her huh?
Kaneki: Actually I think Miku is slowly starting to accept Onee-chan.
All 5: Eh?! Really?!
Miku: What?! What makes you say that?!
Kaneki: Yesterday when we were watching movies, you were sitting right beside her. Onee-chan even had her left arm around you.
Miku: I was distracted by the movie!!! How was I supposed to know?
Kaneki: Well either way it's pretty good that you're getting used to her.
Miku: Grrr...
Shino: Hehe~ Miku looks so cute when she's angry.
Miku: Shut it!
Kaneki: By the way we're having cooking class later right?
Natsuki: Yup let's do our best at cooking class.
Kaneki's thoughts*
(Wait... Ah crap I hope I don't end up with them)
Knowing that he is most likely to be put in a group, Kaneki hoped that he doesn't end up with his friends.
(I know I can regenerate, but I really don't want my heart to burst out. That will hurt so much)
After experiencing first hand what Yuuka had done that made his heart race, Kaneki feared that being with his friends for the time being will literally make his heart burst out of his chest.
