Chapter 12 - Chapter 10.2 : Journey to the Round Table

Okita and I stumbled as we were transported through time and space, our surroundings changing before our eyes. As we regained our footing, we looked around and saw that we were no longer in the Amazon, but in a grand courtyard outside a magnificent castle.

We walked towards the castle, the awe-inspiring architecture making us feel like we were in a completely different world. People were bustling about, some in fancy dresses, others in armor and wielding swords. We asked a few of them where we could find King Arthur, and they pointed us towards the castle's grand entrance.

As we entered the castle, we were greeted by the sight of a grand round table surrounded by knights in shining armor. At the top of the table sat a man with a golden crown upon his head, and we knew it could only be King Arthur.

We approached the table and bowed our heads respectfully. King Arthur looked at us quizzically and asked, "Who are you and what brings you to Camelot?"

I stood up straight and looked him in the eye, "We have come seeking your help, Your Majesty. We are on a quest to save the world from a great evil, and we have been told that you are the only one who can help us."

The knights at the table murmured amongst themselves, some looking skeptical and others curious. King Arthur raised his hand to quiet them and said, "Tell me more about this great evil you speak of."

I proceeded to tell him everything we knew about the evil force that was threatening to destroy the world, and how Vespera had believed that King Arthur was our only hope. As I spoke, I could see the determination growing in the king's eyes, and he nodded his head thoughtfully.

"Very well," he said. "I am willing to help you in any way that I can. But first, we must determine if you are worthy of my aid."

With that, he stood up and led us to the castle's training grounds. There, he ordered his knights to spar with us to test our skills in combat. Okita and I fought bravely, holding our own against the skilled knights, but in the end, we were both beaten.

King Arthur nodded his head in approval, "You are brave warriors indeed. I will help you in your quest, but first you must prove yourselves worthy by completing a task for me."

He then proceeded to tell us about a dangerous mission that needed to be carried out in a distant land, and he charged us with the responsibility of completing it. Okita and I nodded, knowing that this was the only way to gain King Arthur's trust and prove that we were worthy of his aid.

As we left Camelot to complete our mission, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and adventure coursing through my veins. I knew that our journey was far from over, but I was filled with confidence that with King Arthur's help, we could face anything that the evil forces might throw our way.

The chapter ends with us leaving Camelot, eager to complete the task that King Arthur had set for us, and knowing that our quest to save the world had only just begun.
