Cliff
"I don't know what the problem is with Jeff? He made us go back again to film those dumb Penguins, right Sabrina?" Adam rubbed his hands as he was fixing the camera angle and lighting so they could get out of Antarctica fast.
"Oh, Adam, don't be such a crybaby, just a couple of minutes of shooting, then we're free to go back home. And don't you look like a Penguin yourself with all that clothing you're wearing". She laughed as Adam was speechless as he was doubting life.
Adam mumbled to himself "maybe I'm a Penguin?" He looked at the sky, wondering if he was really a Penguin, then shook his head from those distracting thoughts and went to, to fix the camera before the shooting.
And in the corner of his eye, he saw something moving from far away. He looked at it then saw something, an object moving towards the cliff.
"What the hell? Sabrina, look behind you!" He pointed behind Sabrina to the incoming object.
"What is it?" Sabrina asked, confused. "I don't know. it looks like a rock or something similar to it", Adam answered.
"I think it's an egg. But I'm not too sure quickly Adam! Give me your binoculars." Sabrina urged Adam to give her his binoculars. She was excited, she thought to herself. Maybe just maybe this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us. Maybe we can make it big.
As she was looking through the binoculars, she saw three penguins following an egg, then she looked at the cliff. Then, like any sane human, she did the math.
If those Penguins are going at the same speed and not slowing down by approximately 5 seconds, they will fall down the cliff.
"Adam! I want you to use all your expertise in using the camera. Shoot at the egg as it is falling off the cliff. I want every detail, including the three Penguins behind it. OK, can you do it or not?"
"Yes, but are you sure we should film it?" He was starting to doubt the morality of shooting an egg falling to its death without doing anything. But either way, if they can sell it to natural geographic maybe they'll get a salary raise. He stopped setting up and picked the camera up, fixed the angle and started shooting.
Meanwhile, Sabrina was talking over the mic with a natural calm voice.
As the egg was falling to a certain death and the three Penguins fighting to save their brother, maybe just maybe nature will not be cruel this time.
The egg stopped at the edge of the cliff, tethering between the known and the unknown, but sadly, the incoming Penguins couldn't stop in time.
The leading one bumped into the egg and the egg slid down to the unknown. It couldn't stop in time, so it fell with the egg down the cliff, but luckily, its two brothers caught it just in time and brought it back.
"And CUT!" Sabrina told Adam to stop shooting and he followed her request. "Now what?" he asked as he lowered his camera and stopped the video. "Wait, let me think... Adam, I have a question for you. Do you want a raise or not?" She looked at Adam with an odd glint in her eyes.
"Yes, why are you asking?"
"I want you to do something that is questionable". She looked him in the eyes.
She didn't let him answer and continued "I want you to throw the three Penguins down the Cliff." she waited for him to answer.
"OK" he answered simply.
"Yes, I'll give you a new camera and I will... what did you say?" she asked, as she did not hear him right.
"Do you want me to spell it for you? I have no problem with it, but don't forget my raise."
Meanwhile, the three Penguins we're debating.
"Well, it is dead. Let's go skipper, Rico" Kowalski turned to leave as Rico followed him, but skipper continued staring at the egg as his face kept on changing between hesitation and determination.
And before he could change his mind, the camera crew that was behind them pushed them off the edge of the cliff.
Inside the egg, the egg was gaining sentence.
He woke up. Everything around him seemed to be foggy and filled with warm liquid. He couldn't make out what was happening. But the sudden jerks around him made him startled. You could say that it was the first sensation that he felt he felt vulnerable. He looked for something warm or something that brought comfort to himself like a parent or something, but he felt numb. He wanted to feel everything was going to be alright. But he can't seem to muster the energy to get out of his shell.
