"I… I accept your apology." I said. "It's more my fault for overreacting-"
"No! No, it's not your fault!" Shirayaa hastily waved her hands erratically and stopped me from speaking. "I was just desperate to make new and genuine friends for the first time since meeting you way back when."
"Still! I shouldn't have acted the way I did." I insisted on apologising as I felt bad that I made her feel bad for what I did. "I just… I've never really had much of an opportunity to really mature my emotions. Physically, definitely." I said, gesturing to my figure. "And mentally, maybe because I was forced to thanks to the piss poor living environment of this nation." I scowled at my last remark.
To which Shirayaa gave a quick, sombre chuckle and agreed, "Heh, yeah… Those who are abandoned or lose their parents either die, or grow up to be criminals and the like. I think… We were an exception to all of that thanks to your father teaching you about the way the world worked."
