Chapter 18 - Demon Bamboo

"Doffy, Corazon and Law have escaped To North east." Erik said as he ran towards Dofalmingo. It was a lie, the island Erik had told them to go to was on the western side, The Easiest and fastest way to reach the end of North blue where Rosinante and Law could escape to the grandline if things went south.

"What? That Rosinante." Dofalmingo Said as he started releasing the cage.

"The marines are coming, Don't Release the cage." Erik said as he intercepted Doflamingo, who was in the process of releasing the cage.

"The marines they sent us are Pathetic." Doflamingo said with a hint of malice in his voice.

"No, They have Great staff officer Tsuru with them." Erik said to Doffy who looked sceptical. The marines had them cornered and his stamina was constantly running out from maintaining his bird cage, He could only click his tongue and think of any ideas.

"At any cost, The ope ope no mi shouldn't stay in the hands of Rosinante. We will go after him." Doflamingo said as he released the bird cage and boarded his ships with his crew members and left the Island to chase after Rosinante.

Erik, Got on board alongside Doffy but jumped off the ship once it started sailing, everyone looked In front of the ship with their eyes wide open but no-one noticed a figure jumping off of the ship into the sea.

Erik was proficient in swimming, some would say he is a master, his years in the jungle weren't spent Reading Fanfiction in Webnovel.

He was able to reach Minion island quickly, after which he sprinted off in high speeds to catch up to Rosinante and Law.

He reached the place where Law and Rosinante set off to go to the Island Erik told them about, the footsteps of someone stepping on snow could be heard behind Erik, Erik turned around and looked at the source of the footsteps.

"Where are you going?" A voice interrupted him, a Tall and tan man stood behind him wearing a standard marine costume.

"Ah, I forgot about you." Erik siad as he put his hands behind his back, pulling out his twin daggers. The Daggers shone in the light of dawn as The face of the Marine.

"Demon Bamboo Vergo..." Erik said as he pointed his dagger at The Marine clothed man. Vergo took off his shirt, revealing his bare chest. His body started getting covered with black shiny haki as he looked at Erik with Malice.

"Let's begin, Shall we." Erik said as he rushed at Vergo,. The demon Bamboo, intending on clashing his haki coated fist with Erik's blade threw a punch.

Erik Kicked the ground multiple times as his speed was increased drastically, Using his increased speed, he appeared behind Vergi in an instant.

Vergi had not anticipated it and turned his head quickly to see two Haki coated daggers vibrating at very high speeds.

"TenWoRiku Tanken (Heaven Slicing Daggers.)" The daggers pierced the skin on his back coated with armament.

"H-How? How did you cut me?" Vergi asked, shokced as he backed away a few steps.

"Just some simple science really, Fast vibrating blades are sharper than normal ones." Erik said as He threw two Haki coated Flying slashes at Vergo, Vergo countered him by dodging the Slashes and Rushing at Erik with very high speeds.

Erik countered Vergo by kicking the ground really hard with his leg. The ground rose up under the might of his fist, hitting Vergo and sending him to the sky.

"Inazuma no ha. (Lightning blade.)" Erik announced his attack Name as he lifted his dark sword up in the sky, Using a vertical version of Soru, he jumped up to the sky, in high speeds. His haki was all concerned in the tip of his sword. Just as he came near Vergo, he compressed the haki stored in his blade in an instant as the tip of his blade got in contact with Vergo.

The compressed haki got unleashed at once, a large bolt of purple lightning erupted from the blade, Going through Vergo.

The attack left Erik's haki exhausted but it killed Vergo in an instant, There was now a large gaping hole in the place where Vergo's heart should be. He was dead.
