Cedric looked over to the dying bat-like creature, then back toward Ash. "Was it successful?"
Ash turned toward him and nodded in response. "Yeah. If it comes again, I will be able to sense it quite accurately. It will not be able to ambush us so easily. Even if we cannot use this right away to target it, we can use it to anticipate its arrival when we are busy with something else."
With that kind of advantage, the chances of them being caught off guard again would be reduced significantly.
The element of surprise was taken away from it thanks to such a method being used.
That meant that they could focus on other things a little more while leaving other matters to Ash when it came to sensing its approach.
With such a thing being done, they continued to move to another suitable location to face another threat that was present there.
Another gamble had to be made if they were going to be able to capitalise on what they had succeeded in doing.
