Hadraniel's ploy to have Grey killed went down in flames. Lord Greed, having been offered a better bargain decided to prioritize his people before the wishes of a Celestial. For him, this was a better course of action. If the plan to find an answer in the Centurion archives backfired, he could always reconsider Cid's proposal. Nothing could stop him now. Except for the simple fact that he wasn't the only one with a backup plan.
