"Let me in". It knocks again and again. "Let me in". At the corner of my heart, I can hear the knocks sending waves to my mind, slowly poisoning it.
"Let me in."
A shady picture of a dark-skinned girl formed in his mind, it slowly gets clearer as he gets closer. The girl raises her head and looks at him, then with a silent scream, a cloud of malice bursts behind her, and black claws pull her in. Darkness falls.
Over and over again, it knocks at my heart, begging me to let it in, this ghost of a past I cannot escape.
The Valkyrie inhales sharply as his eyes flash open. His vision blurry, he struggles to breathe while trying to remember where he was and understand what was happening.
Then he hears Micheal's voice, "How does it feel to cheat death, Valkyrie?"
His vision slowly returned along with his mind and he found himself floating in a white space surrounded by thousands of pieces of shattered glass. His eyes begin to wander around as his body felt paralyzed.
