Yaen Chi couldn't remember how long it had been since he last saw her.
Upon seeing her again, she still brimmed with youth, carrying an aura of healing. Her friendly nature made it easy for her to blend with those around her, and her expression remained innocent and cheerful. Her brow and eyes exuded warmth without any sense of distance.
Away from their circle, her life resumed its course.
This was how her clean and clear life should be.
Yaen Chi chuckled self-deprecatingly. He didn't deliberately avoid her, although he stood at the hospital entrance, it was to the side in the shade of thick tree branches, where shadows fell mottled across the ground.
He also hid within those shadows.
"Brother Yaen Chi."
Ye Wanting saw him, greeted a friend, and then ran in the opposite direction.
Yaen Chi instinctively raised his hand to catch her, "Slow down."
The hand he extended happened to be holding a cigarette, he immediately withdrew it.
