She didn't want to answer and fumbled to silence it.
After a moment of silence, it rang again. She pressed it down again, but the person on the other side was relentless, calling one after another, leaving Nan Jiaojiao unable to sleep anymore. Annoyed, she picked up the phone, "Are you rushing me to my grave?"
The voice on the other end laughed strangely, "Yes, what about it?"
"Senior brother?"
Nan Jiaojiao sat up in a flash, propping the pillow up a bit to support her neck. She squinted out the window; it was rainy, and just barely dawn.
"What are you doing? It's early in the morning, don't you sleep?"
"I told you to come by sometime in the next few days. Did you take my words like the wind by your ear? Do I have to come and grab you myself? Fine, where are you? I'll come over personally and install a tracker on your phone, so I don't lose you all the time."
Nan Jiaojiao was instantly scared awake.
