Chapter 907 - Zhou Fan's Guests - 907

After thinking for a moment, the old man conceded. "Fine, you can come. But don't be mad at me if you lose both of your sons."

Hun Luan's father thanked him, though he was naturally worried about his sons. At least with him, they would be safer.

The old man boarded a ship, as neither Hun Luan nor his brother could travel in the space between Universes themselves.

Powered by the old man, the ship shot off, soon leaving the Universe.

Within, Hun Luan, his little brother, and the old man sat at a table.

"So, why exactly do you need to go to the top of the Multiverse?" The old man asked.

"I was called there by someone, someone very powerful."

"Your brother as well?" The old man asked.

"Yes."

"I see. Anyone that stays anywhere near the top of the Multiverse is an unimaginable being. This is most likely great fortune for you and your brother, but I'm not sure why it didn't trigger the restriction." The old man said.

"Restriction?" Hun Luan asked.

"Yes. You are old enough now to know about it, but ever since you were born, countless powerful beings wished to take you as a disciple. But one day, they all stopped. This is the restriction. Nobody knows who caused it, but as you can see, no ancient beings have appeared to take you for positive or negative reasons. Until now, that is." The old man explained.

Hun Luan nodded. The man in his dreams was surely responsible. This gave Hun Luan confidence that the old man in his dreams was telling the truth. Why would someone so powerful lie about that?

Hun Luan naturally could not imagine the thoughts of Zhou Fan. Nobody could. He could calculate countless possible outcomes, and almost always, the best growth was built under pressure. Hun Luan's pressure would be the destruction of the Multiverse.

Zhou Fan's pressure had been the Cosmic Dao, as well as the mysteries of the Universe.

It took three years for them to reach another Universe, where they disembarked.

"Why are we leaving?" Hun Luan asked.

"Well we aren't going to drive that thing all the way to the top of the Multiverse. An entire Sage Year could pass before we reach the danger threshold. Instead, we will shorten the journey with teleportation arrays. All of the payment covered by your Hun family, of course."

The old man led them to a large teleportation hub, one much bigger than any in their Universe.

They spent the next few days traveling on hundreds of teleportation arrays. Occasionally, they would spend a few years flying before using arrays again.

Luckily, this old man seemed quite knowledgeable about the paths across the Multiverse.

"What? Didn't your father tell you?" The old man said when Hun Luan asked about his knowledge.

"Back in the day, I was a pirate. Your father saved my life even after we attacked a Hun family ship. I've treated him like a brother since, and eventually parted ways with the pirate crew. He is using that very favor to get me to help you." The old man explained.

Hun Luan was surprised. He had never taken the old man for a pirate.

In total, nearly fifty years passed since they had left before the old man stopped the spaceship.

"This is as far as I can go. Any further and you'll be entering the danger zone, where countless Immortals have disappeared without a trace. This is the greatest forbidden zone within the Universe. You can take the spaceship. Good luck from here." The old man said before hurriedly leaving.

Luckily, they had not encountered any danger on their way this far, but from here on, they could only hope that they would survive. Even his almost always aloof little brother was nervous as Hun Luan controlled the ship to move forward.

After a few hours, they saw a being appear in front of their ship. He wore golden armor and carried a spear.

The ship stopped despite the fact that Hun Luan had not controlled it to do so. But that was not surprising as anybody in this area would be countless times stronger than them.

The man took a step forward and appeared inside of the ship.

"Who dares enter the territory of the Golden Arhat?"

"Um. I'm Hun Luan, and this is my little brother."

"I don't care. Who gave you the courage to enter this land?"

Hun Luan hesitated and thought for a while before speaking. "He said his name was Zhou Fan."

"Huh?" The man said.

Just as that name was uttered, a golden thread appeared connecting the man to someone deep inside of the territory he was guarding.

"Lord Golden Arhat! How may I assist y– What? No…"

Before he could utter another word, his hand formed a fist that touched the side of his head.

With a burst of gold, his head exploded. But no blood appeared as the body soon turned into a golden light that disappeared.

A man in golden robes appeared. "Forgive his rudeness. I suggest that you put the term, "Zhou Fan's guests" on the outside of your ship to avoid confusion."

The man disappeared as soon as he appeared.

Hun Luan was shocked by the entire scene.

However, he went to the control panel and changed the outside of the ship as instructed.

They continued to move towards the top of the Multiverse.

A few beings appeared in front of them for a moment, but as soon as they saw the writing on the ship, they disappeared.

They moved for thirty years before the space around them distorted. A bird appeared in their ship looking at them curiously. "Zhou Fan's guests? Who dares make up lies? He hasn't had a guest in countless Sage Years."

"Shut up, bird." A voice said as a hand appeared and swatted him away.

The space distorted again as their view changed completely.

Their ship had disappeared, and they stood on top of a hill. In the distance was a mansion, and in front of that mansion was an aged, yet young looking man sitting in front of a tree.
