Luna stood up slowly in the darkness. The knocking continued relentlessly, making her heart pound erratically.
She stretched out her hand toward the door but withdrew it abruptly.
At that moment...
"Luna?"
Luna froze. It was Sabrina, not Samuel.
She took a while to calm herself down before opening the door. Sabrina stood on the other side, holding an exquisite box in her hand.
"Godmother."
Sabrina smiled. "Why did you take so long to answer?"
"I was in the washroom, so I didn't hear you knocking." Luna stepped back and allowed Sabrina into the room.
Sabrina then handed the box to Luna. "I bought some skincare products for you. Now that you have started your career as an actress, you have to take good care of your looks."
"Thank you, Godmother!" Luna took it happily.
"Don't need to thank me. You are my daughter. I should buy such things for you."
