The journey back to the surface was uneventful compared to everything we had endured below.
Hah… I need a long cold bath after all that's happened. I've been making do with water magic but it would be good if my clothes can get cleaned properly with some soap.
After two long weeks inside the dungeon, every familiar corridor felt strangely comforting. The monsters occupying the upper floors were ones we had already encountered on our descent, making the return trip far less dangerous.
"We're almost out, the two of you hang in there." (Sir Roland) casually says, still looking energetic and had a lot more fuel left in him. Damn, as expected of an S-rank adventurer.
"Woof…" (Cerberus) and I were so tired, he was almost limping. I felt bad because he had to carry me to get up on the stairs and insisted on doing so.
