Chapter 74 - Legend Nineteen Part Six - The Game of Protection, Or, (Are you fucking serious? Who is going to pay for that hole in the roof?!)

"And what are you gonna do, demon? I'm not like I was before," Jaycie told her.

"You will be slain like many have before you! But this time I fight for my master and no longer the demon king!" Hana assured her, taking a readied pose on the table, still nude.

"Cute, but you will not embarrass me this time!" the dragon replied, flapping her wings. With a single flap she disappeared and all Hana heard was skippy gasp and Sylas yell,

"Behind you!" Hana went to turn knowing the furious dragon was right behind her but she only turned enough to get a slight glimpse of her before she had twisted and whipped her tail around, slamming Hana and sending her flying across the room next, crashing through the first layer of the wooden wall.

"Hana!" Quinn screamed. She had left a huge impact on the wall but seemed all right otherwise. The dragon's tail spikes had barely missed her as she had been slammed with the inner part, luckily.

"Fffuck," the demon cursed as she coughed up a bit of blood. Jaycie stood with a grin having got back at the one who had previously bested her. The dragon's eyes narrowed and her ear twitched, causing her to duck at the last moment as Sylas' claw swiped right over her.

"Too slow, and too loud," Jaycie teased, spinning in place to swipe her tail at the demon. He hopped over it easily but, once he was caught in the air, the dragon continued to twist and brought her own claw at him, tearing across his chest.

"Gah!" he gasped as his fireproof body was not exactly slash-proof as well. Her claws cut four gashes into his chest and sent him flying as well, though not as far as the others. He fell from the dining room table and slid across the smooth wood floor about halfway across the room.

"No demon is a match for me!" Jaycie proclaimed with a self-dignified, fanged smile. Though, as soon as Sylas was clear of the table, something began to impact the dragon, causing her to flinch from each strike.

The attack was loud and obvious. Magic bursts fired from the magic rifle of Luna the bunny.

"What about a bunny, then?" she asked, keeping the assault going, firing off shot after shot. The magic surges were enough to make the dragon twitch but not enough to actually harm her seeing as the dragon had a natural resistance to magic. It didn't help that she was in her other form and far tougher than usual.

Once again the dragon leaned forward, digging her foot into the wooden floor and pushing off. This and a flap from her wings sent her blasting toward the bunny, far faster than last time. Though, just like last time, Quinn came sprinting toward her and dropped into a slide just before they impacted. Except, this time, the dragon was too powerful and moving far too fast. When Quinn grasped her ankle she just easily dragged her along.

"AHH!" the cat girl screamed before letting go and being sent sliding down what was left of the dining room table, only to fall in one of its many new holes. Jaycie was almost upon the bunny who had kept shooting the entire time to no avail. Just like the last time she was prepared to hop away at the last moment but, this time, Jaycie was ready.

She flapped her wings mid-dash to send her flying suddenly faster toward the bunny maid. Luna's eyes grew wide and she knew there was probably no way she could jump away this time. She was mid-crouch when she realized she wasn't going to make it in time, though she was still going to try. The dragon smiled a fanged smile as she drew closer in what seemed like slow motion but was only a moment in real time.

All the bunny could do was flinch and shove her rifle out in front of her but, oddly, the impact came from the side as she was tackled off the table. The dragon clawed at the spot where Luna had just been, no doubt she would've torn the bunny in half were she still there.

Luna opened her eyes to realize her master had saved her. He must have already been heading towards her. She knew there was no way he could out-speed the dragon.

"Sorry I was late," the wolf master apologized. The bunny smiled. "You were right on time for once," she said with a little smile. The sweet moment was soon cut off once the bunny spotted the red dragon looming over them as she stood at the edge of the dining room table. Luna gasped and tried to pull herself and her master to their feet but it was too late. The dragon was already headed towards them, still furious and claws extended.

The bunny kicked the ground trying to roll on top of her master to put herself between him and the raging dragon but, after seeing the fear in her eyes, Lucian must have had the same idea, kicking hard to try to roll on top of his maid. The result caused them both to stay still on the floor, holding each other, their sides both exposed to the beast. All they could do was hold each other in the last moment before the dragon would descend upon them but it would not be so.

Ironically enough, at the very last moment another dragon arrived, tall with green scales and her back to the pair as she blocked Jaycie's path to them.

"You again?!" Jayce yelled, not slowing a bit, as she swiped her claws at Canglo.

The green dragon turned slightly, causing the red one's claws to glint off her green scales, shooting sparks everywhere in the process.

"Yes, it's me again! Still jealous, red bitch?!" Canglo asked as she twisted her whole body, just as Jaycie did before, to whip her tail hard into the other dragon. Her tail caught Jaycie and even slowed her but it didn't blast her across the room like Canglo had hoped.

"Get out of my way! I'm going to pluck that rabbit's ears for bothering me!" the red dragon growled.

Canglo grabbed her shoulder and kept her from going any farther.

"No! I think it's time for you to leave!" Canglo said, her voice shaking with fear. Jaycie paused for a moment.

"Where is all this confidence coming from now? I can smell your fear. You can't possibly think you can stop me!" she said, grabbing Canglo's wrist.

"I think I'm the only one here that can stop you, now, and I think you know that. My mistress knows this and I will be brave for her," Canglo said calmly, her claw tightening on Jaycie's shoulder.
