AYAN'S POV
Teon's grandmother found multiple items that belonged to her late daughter and gave them to us. Throughout, I was perplexed by how she was able to move around the messy, disorganized cabin and find anything at all.
Beside holding my hand tightly was Teon. He fearfully watched his grandmother move around the cabin. I could only imagine the flashbacks and memories he was having. Perhaps, he feared she would come after him again.
Teon's grandmother, however, didn't seem to pay him any mind. She was solely focused on her gold and searching for Teon's mother's belongings.
"You can go back to the carriage if you want," I suggested to him. So he could calm down.
He shook his head in refusal, though. Confused, I looked down at him I noticed that although he was nervous of his grandmother's gaze, he was also focused on the belongings she found and gave to us. I think he was looking at them and verifying they were his mother's.
