Chapter 742 - 201-205

Chapter 201: Conflict

The referee at the edge of the arena vomited for a long time before finally regaining his senses and looking at the two contestants.

This glance was all it took—Huo Wu, with her expression shattered, had passed out and collapsed. He hurriedly announced the result of the match.

"Shrek Academy's Tang San wins!"

Tang San let out a slight breath of relief; he was finally done facing this woman's ridicule.

Releasing his grip, Huo Wu seemed to lose her bones and crumpled to the ground, her fate uncertain.

Huo Wushuang, standing nearby, walked onto the stage with a frosty expression, lifted his unconscious sister, and carried her to the waiting area of the Blaze Academy. He then turned back to the stage.

His eyes were locked onto Tang San with a murderous intent, and his Soul Ring, the Infernal Flame Dragon Martial Soul, appeared behind him. Two yellow and two purple soul rings floated in sequence.

"Next, I will be your opponent."

His voice was cold as ice, causing Tang Shenwang to frown slightly.

Tang San thought for a moment, then glanced at the Shrek team's Big Wet. Seeing him smile and nod, Tang Shenwang stopped hesitating, turned to the referee, and declared.

"I forfeit!"

The referee nodded and then announced the final result of the match.

"Due to the last member of Shrek Academy forfeiting, this match is won by Blaze Academy!"

As soon as the referee's words fell, Huo Wushuang's defense collapsed. Had he come here for a victory? Now all he wanted was to kill that bastard, and this was the outcome?

"Bastard! You cowardly turtle, just give up like that? Do you dare to fight me?"

Tang San ignored Huo Wushuang's provocation and turned to walk off the stage.

"You've won. I won't accept a meaningless battle soul."

"You—"

Looking at Tang San's refusal to engage, Huo Wushuang felt as if a heavy punch had hit a cotton pillow. He gritted his teeth in anger but was helpless. He couldn't attack in front of the referee, or Blaze Academy would suffer.

With a resentful glare at Tang San's concealed back, Huo Wushuang could only clench his fists and return in the opposite direction.

"Wait for it. Don't let me run into you again."

Huo Wushuang muttered one last harsh sentence before rushing off to check on his sister's condition.

Tang San returned to the waiting area, where he was greeted by Ma Hongjun's fat face, full of admiration.

"San Ge, you're amazing, that victory was truly beautiful!"

In his eyes, this way of fighting—winning while gaining an advantage—was the most ideal.

Seeing the big thumbs up from the fatty, Tang Shenwang couldn't help but blush slightly, but his expression darkened a little afterward.

"Sorry, I couldn't secure the final victory."

Tyrone and the others quickly waved their hands, signaling that they had held the team back. Tang San had done his best.

Although they didn't fully approve of Tang San's victory method, as teammates, they couldn't bring themselves to dampen the mood when Tang San had already fought so hard to save some face for the team.

With the match between Blaze Academy and Shrek Academy over, there were no more interesting battles to watch.

Ning Bei led the smaller ones out of the arena. As they walked through the venue's exit, they saw Blaze Academy's group carrying Huo Wu, who was lying on a stretcher, to find a healing soul master.

Ning Bei silently apologized in his heart. If it weren't for the soul bones he had arranged for Tang Shenwang, this woman wouldn't have been humiliated so badly.

Thinking of the scene, Ning Bei couldn't bear to watch. From now on, Huo Wu would probably be pointed at wherever she went.

"Look, that's the beauty who was knocked out by the smoke on the arena!"

The little ones around him also watched Blaze Academy leave. Ning Rongrong shivered and rubbed her arms, then looked with lingering fear at Long Nianbing beside her.

"Nianbing, next time we meet them, just stuff a kitchen knife in their mouth for me. I never want to smell that toxic gas again."

Long Nianbing nodded in agreement and reassured Ning Rongrong.

"Don't worry, young miss. They won't get another chance to face us."

Just as they were about to reach their hotel, two figures, one white and one black, walked out of a clothing store.

Seeing the little kitten in the middle of the group, they immediately revealed a forced smile.

"Well, if it isn't my cute little sister? Looks like you've found a group of trustworthy companions?"

The fiery woman in black, Zhu Zhuqing's older sister, Zhu Zhuyun, looked at her with a mocking gaze, while Dai Weisi beside her wore a playful smile.

Zhu Zhuqing, who had been chatting with her sisters with a smile, immediately darkened her expression. Her hands clenched into fists, and she looked coldly at the detestable couple.

"Move aside!"

With just two simple words, Dai Weisi's face showed displeasure.

"Oh? It seems that after two years away from the Star Luo Empire, you've forgotten all your manners? Dare to speak to this prince like that?"

"No wonder you can't control your man. My third brother doesn't even want you anymore, how long do you think you can keep hopping around?"

The provocative words didn't stir any emotions in Zhu Zhuqing. She simply found these two annoying and planned to ignore them, signaling her companions to leave.

But while Zhu Zhuqing didn't want to bother with them, her two sisters couldn't stand the insult.

Ning Rongrong's eyes shifted, and she covered her nose, taking a few steps back, giving the little rabbit beside her a look of disgust.

"Xiao Wu, who's farting? It smells so bad."

The little rabbit understood immediately and quickly covered her mouth and nose.

"I smell it too, it must be some golden-haired tiger who hasn't brushed their teeth. It stinks! Let's get out of here quickly."

Their sarcastic remarks made Dai Weisi's face turn black. As the most powerful contender for the Star Luo Prince, how could he tolerate such an insult?

"You two are looking for death? Say that again if you dare!"

As Dai Weisi was about to act, the Star Luo guards who followed him surrounded them. At Dai Weisi's command, they would rush forward and tear apart anyone who insulted their master.

But before Dai Weisi could make a move, he suddenly felt an enormous pressure, as if a mountain was weighing down on him. Sweat beads appeared on his forehead.

Ning Bei gently tapped the ground with his toes, and the surrounding guards instantly turned into ice statues.

After snapping his fingers, the ice instantly turned into dust, scattering into the air.

Dai Weisi and Zhu Zhuyun stared dumbfounded at what had just happened, speechless for a long time.

"You have a problem with my insults?"

Ning Bei's voice snapped them back to reality, and he coldly gazed at them.

"Do you know who we are? How dare you…"

"If you say one more word, you won't exist anymore. Dai Tianyu can't protect you."

"Try me if you don't believe it."

Dai Weisi had originally intended to threaten Ning Bei with his status, but his words were abruptly cut off. His face darkened as if he had eaten something unpleasant, but he didn't have the courage to try again.

Feeling humiliated, he trembled with anger, and Zhu Zhuyun, sensing the overwhelming pressure greater than that of the Star Luo Ancestor, didn't even dare to look at Ning Bei anymore. The two of them stood there, unsure of what to do.

Chapter 202: Facing Blaze Fire

"Rongrong, didn't that foul mouth just stink you out?"

Ning Rongrong was momentarily stunned, turning her head to look at her older brother in confusion.

"Ah, yeah, brother, what's up?"

"Go up and slap him!"

Ning Rongrong understood, eagerly stepping forward to slap Dai Weisi across the face with a loud smack. She then turned to her brother with teary eyes.

"Brother, his face is so thick, my hand hurts, wuwuwu."

"You—"

Dai Weisi had a bright red handprint across half his face, pointing at Ning Rongrong, shaking with rage.

Seeing her near-tears expression, the little rabbit next to her couldn't hold back her laughter. She covered her mouth, turning around as her shoulders shook with laughter.

Thinking to herself, these two siblings are too mischievous.

Ning Bei raised an eyebrow, quickly stepping forward to grab his sister's small hand and gently blew on it.

"Phew, phew, it doesn't hurt anymore."

He then turned his icy gaze to Dai Weisi.

"You had the chance, but you didn't take it. Don't blame me now for letting you dare to slap my sister with that wall-like face of yours."

As he spoke, he slowly approached the two.

Dai Weisi and Zhu Zhuyun felt the pressure mounting on them, their bodies trembling like leaves in the wind.

"What, what do you want from me? I… I…"

"Forget it, considering your companion is Zhuqing's sister, I'll spare your life. But you will slap yourself until my sister is satisfied."

Dai Weisi stared at Ning Bei in disbelief, unable to comprehend what he was hearing.

The esteemed crown prince of Star Luo Empire was actually being asked to slap himself in public.

"Don't want to? Then let Star Luo belong to Dai Mubai."

As he spoke, Ning Bei released a trace of his Super Douluo aura. Dai Weisi was instantly pressured to his knees, and cracks spread across the floor tiles beneath him.

"I, I… I'll do it, please spare my life."

As Ning Bei's aura faded, Dai Weisi gasped for air, his entire body drenched in sweat as though he had just been pulled from a river.

Then, the sound of "smack" "smack" echoed as Dai Weisi began slapping himself.

The loud slaps drew the attention of countless passersby, whose gossip and mockery filled the air.

Ning Bei raised an eyebrow at Zhu Zhuyun, who seemed dazed, and then led the little ones toward the hotel. It wasn't until they turned the corner that Dai Weisi finally stopped.

Dazed, he stared at the onlookers standing by the street, his humiliation lingering as he struggled to calm himself.

It was Zhu Zhuyun who recovered first, pulling the kneeling Dai Weisi up and walking away.

Along the way, the little kitten looked at the chuckling sisters and Ning Bei with gratitude in her eyes.

They had no enmity with Dai Weisi; this was all just to let out a bit of frustration.

"Thank you!"

Zhu Zhuqing's voice was soft, but as soul masters, everyone present still heard her.

Ning Rongrong quickly waved her hand.

"It's nothing, Zhuqing, aren't we partners? Besides, I've never liked those two either."

The little rabbit moved to Zhu Zhuqing's other side, wrapping her arm around hers and teasing her.

"They're so naughty, I think that golden-haired tiger's face even turned purple."

The little rabbit joyfully recounted Dai Weisi's frustrated expression, completely forgetting how she had been tricked by the unscrupulous siblings when she first arrived at the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.

As expected, the promotion matches continued just as they had anticipated. After learning about the strength of the Royal Fight Team II, the other teams began following the example of the Godwind Academy and forfeited, saving their strength.

Although Xiao Wu was mentally prepared, she still felt frustrated. Her expression turned even more displeased as she glanced at the Godwind team.

"It's all because of these rotten apples, they've made it so Xiao Wu can't show her true power."

"Alright, alright, at least tomorrow is the last day of the promotion matches. When we get to the finals, they can't forfeit again, right? It would be better for them to just go home!"

Ning Rongrong tried to calm her upset sister, while also eagerly anticipating her own appearance in the finals. After all, Xiao Wu had at least enjoyed herself in the earlier rounds, while she, as the world's number one support, had been little more than a bystander during the promotion matches.

Time passed, and the final day of the promotion matches arrived.

Just when everyone thought Blaze Academy would forfeit again, their first team member stepped up to the arena with great enthusiasm.

The referee signaled the Royal Fight Team II to send someone onto the stage. Xiao Wu looked at Long Nianbing in confusion.

"Hey, what's going on? Aren't they forfeiting?"

Long Nianbing stroked his chin thoughtfully, and after a moment, he seemed to understand their intentions.

"They probably want to secure their ranking in the promotion matches. In the second round of the finals, the top two teams automatically get a bye. If they win this match, they'll secure second place."

Xiao Wu's eyes immediately lit up, but then her expression turned peculiar.

"Do they really think they can beat us?"

Long Nianbing shrugged, unsure of what they were thinking.

"Please send a competitor from Royal Fight Team II onto the stage, or you will be disqualified."

"Ah, they're coming, they're coming!"

Luckily, the referee's prompting interrupted Xiao Wu's questioning. The little rabbit hurriedly ran to the stage.

As soon as she stood on the stage, she gave Blaze Academy's first competitor a thumbs-up.

"Ambitious! Xiao Wu is rooting for you!"

The first competitor from Blaze Academy was named Huo Lie, with a Fire Crane martial soul specializing in speed attacks. He was a 39th-level Soul Ancestor.

At that moment, he appeared a bit nervous under Xiao Wu's praise. He knew he wasn't a match for the cute girl in front of him, but his orders were to drain the opponent's soul power as much as possible.

"Huo Lie, 39th-level battle soul ancestor, Fire Crane martial soul, please guide me."

"Xiao Wu, 58th-level battle soul king, Soft Bone Rabbit martial soul, please guide me."

Since the opponent had given her a chance to show her power, Xiao Wu decided to reciprocate and gave him a chance to introduce himself.

As the referee announced the start of the match, Huo Lie immediately released his martial soul, flying into the air and hovering above Xiao Wu's head.

Xiao Wu's eyes followed his every move, waiting for him to attack. But nearly a minute passed, and he still hadn't come down, showing no intention of getting closer.

Xiao Wu quickly understood his strategy, angrily placing her hands on her hips and stomping her feet. She had just praised him for being ambitious, and now he was pulling this stunt?

"Don't think that just because you're flying in the air, Xiao Wu can't do anything to you."

With that, Xiao Wu's third soul ring flashed, and her figure instantly vanished from where she stood. The next moment, she appeared right behind Huo Lie in midair.

"Eight-stage… Hey!"

Xiao Wu had just prepared to execute her Eight-Stage Throw when Huo Lie, having activated his acceleration soul skill, quickly dodged. The little rabbit hadn't anticipated such a swift reaction, and when she missed her attack, she slowly descended to the ground.

It turned out that before the match, Huo Lie had been instructed to keep a close eye on her while in the air. The moment she disappeared, he was to retreat immediately, not caring where he ran as long as he didn't stay in one place.

Xiao Wu stared in disbelief at the circling Huo Lie in the air. Wasn't this even more infuriating than forfeiting? Was he just playing with the rabbit?

Finally, after teleporting dozens of times, Xiao Wu caught Huo Lie off guard and sent him flying off the stage with an Eight-Stage Throw.

The audience erupted into applause for Xiao Wu, which helped ease her frustration a little.

Chapter 203: Xiao Wu vs. Huo Wu

Before the little rabbit could catch her breath, another man who looked 80% similar to Huo Lie stepped onto the arena.

"Huo Yu, 39th-level Battle Soul Ancestor, Fire Crane Martial Soul!"

Xiao Wu immediately looked dejected, her face full of question marks. "Again?"

After yet another round of the rabbit chasing the eagle game, Xiao Wu, out of breath, sent her opponent flying off the stage with all her remaining strength.

"You're disgusting!"

Blaze Academy ignored Xiao Wu's words as another man who resembled Huo Lie stepped onto the arena.

"Huo Jun, 39th-level Battle Soul Ancestor, Fire Crane Martial Soul!"

Xiao Wu: "Are you kidding me?"

The little rabbit's chest heaved as she stared expressionlessly at Huo Jun, who was hovering above her. She didn't immediately use her teleportation to jump and kick him like in the previous rounds. Even the donkeys in the production team need rest.

After catching her breath, as Xiao Wu was about to launch her attack, she caught a glimpse of Ning Rongrong shaking her head from below the stage.

Xiao Wu was stunned for a moment. What did the head shake mean? If I don't go up and catch him, am I supposed to wait for him to fall down by himself?

"Wait! Maybe I can wait for him to fall down by himself. Xiao Wu doesn't believe you can fly forever without consuming soul power."

With that thought, Xiao Wu's eyes lit up slightly. She then sat cross-legged in the center of the arena.

She casually pulled out a sunflower seed from her soul tool and began cracking it slowly and elegantly. After all, they were in full view of everyone, so even eating had to be done with a bit of grace.

This action stunned the entire audience, including Blaze Academy's teammates.

"What is she doing?"

"Is she… cracking sunflower seeds?"

As the murmurs of the audience rose, Huo Wu and Huo Wushuang's faces started to sour. They realized their strategy had failed.

Huo Jun, hovering above, was unsure whether to keep flying or land. Xiao Wu remained indifferent, continuing to crack her seeds.

The regular "crack," "crack," and "spit" sounds echoed rhythmically throughout the arena, and Ning Bei, watching from the stands, couldn't help but smirk.

"This kid reminds me of the time when I was Pope and didn't flinch in the face of adversity."

And so, one person continued to hover in the air, while the other sat in the center of the arena cracking seeds. Neither of them initiated the attack until half an hour later, when Huo Jun, exhausted, finally descended onto the arena.

Before he could announce his forfeit, the little rabbit used teleportation to appear behind him and immediately executed an Eight-Stage Throw, sending him flying off the stage.

She then stuck her tongue out at Huo Wushuang and his sister.

From the audience, Huo Wushuang pointed at Xiao Wu, his expression filled with dissatisfaction. It seemed like he wanted to protest, but he closed his mouth and nodded at one of his teammates.

Xiao Wu watched as another man who resembled Huo Lie stepped onto the stage and sighed lightly.

"Huo Chui, 39th-level Battle Soul Ancestor, Fire Crane Martial Soul!"

Xiao Wu waved her hand and lifted her chin towards the sky.

"Got it. You go up now."

With that, she returned to the center of the arena, took out a few carrots, and started munching on them.

"Crunch," "crunch." The rhythmic sounds of her biting the carrots made the audience feel hungry.

Huo Chui, standing in front of her, didn't know whether to fly or not, frozen in place for a long time without making a move.

"What are you doing? Hurry up and get on with it. The longer you waste time, the more soul power I recover!"

Huo Chui, realizing the truth of her words, helplessly flew into the air, beginning to circle.

After several dozen minutes, seeing Xiao Wu still munching on her carrots, Huo Chui couldn't help but glance at his team captain.

After receiving a nod from Huo Wushuang, Huo Chui's face became serious. His third soul ring flashed, and he launched an attack from behind Xiao Wu.

"Third Soul Skill: Wings of the Blaze!"

With fiery wings, he sped toward Xiao Wu, but the little rabbit, still munching on her carrots, suddenly wore a sly smile. Even while distracted, Xiao Wu had learned a few tricks.

Just as the Wings of the Blaze were about to brush past her, Xiao Wu vanished from her spot, appearing right behind Huo Chui.

"Eight-Stage Throw!"

After a flurry of punches and kicks, Huo Chui fell off the stage, unconscious.

Ning Rongrong cheered wildly for her clever sister from the stands, and the little rabbit gave her a triumphant look in return.

On the other side of the stage, Huo Wu and Huo Wushuang clenched their fists. They knew it was over. Even if Huo Wu had that special move, she couldn't face the powerful opponents still left in Royal Fight Team II.

"Sister, should we just forfeit?"

Huo Wu gritted her teeth, then shook her head at her brother.

"No, I want to try."

Huo Wushuang sighed but didn't stop her. After all, this was the last match of the promotion round, so he let his sister act recklessly.

Huo Wu walked over to stand opposite Xiao Wu, her face full of unwillingness.

"Tch, I thought I could wear you out."

"Oh, so it was you, this bad woman, who came up with this terrible idea!"

Xiao Wu immediately got angry upon hearing this. She glared at Huo Wu. It was her fault that I had to sit on the stage for over an hour.

"What do you mean, a terrible idea? This is just a reasonable tactical approach."

Hearing that, Xiao Wu became even more upset. Not only did she disgust me, but now she's calling it a tactic. Her eyes glinted with mischief.

"Oh, so it's a tactic? But I still think Tang San's tactics are better. He gets to grope everyone all over and even shove a stinky fart in their face!"

"You…"

Seeing Xiao Wu bring up the stinky fart incident, Huo Wu instantly became furious. The last battle with Tang San's soul fight had become a nightmare she couldn't shake off.

Even now, some viewers still referred to her as the "fart girl," and despite her excellent performances in later soul fights, she couldn't change people's opinions. That battle had left a deep impression on the public.

Looking at Huo Wu, trembling with anger, Xiao Wu felt a sense of satisfaction. Serves you right for disgusting Xiao Wu!

"Forget it, I know Tang San too. If you can't get over that stinky fart incident, I can help you negotiate with him."

"Believe me, Xiao Wu still has some face."

"Ah!!!!!!!"

Huo Wu was completely thrown off guard by these words. With a scream, she immediately released her martial soul.

She raised both hands to the sky, and four soul rings lit up. A fireball, many times larger than before, began to form slowly.

"Fusion Skill: Fire Dance, Sun Blaze!"

With a fierce expression, Huo Wu hurled the fireball at Xiao Wu, her eyes full of malicious delight. "You're talking back? Today, I'll roast this rabbit!"

Seeing the fireball coming toward her, Xiao Wu instantly activated her third soul skill, teleporting away.

However, just as she expected, the massive fireball turned around and chased after her.

Huo Wu's voice rang out just in time.

"It's useless! My Fire Dance, Sun Blaze has tracking ability. Kneel and apologize, and I'll spare you!"

Xiao Wu smiled faintly. "Looks like you haven't woken up yet. You want Xiao Wu to kneel and apologize?"

Then came the terrifying scene for Huo Wu. Xiao Wu, instead of dodging, stood still as the fireball came toward her.

Huo Wu immediately screamed in panic.

"Hey, are you crazy? Get out of the way!"

Huo Wu only wanted to vent her frustration, but she never intended to seriously injure or kill Xiao Wu.

Chapter 204: The Little Rabbit Shows Great Power

When the little rabbit heard Huo Wu's warning, she was slightly stunned, thinking that this woman wasn't entirely bad.

She then ignored her shouting, a slight smile curling at the corner of her mouth as the fourth black soul ring on her body gleamed.

"Fourth Soul Skill: Invincible Golden Body."

A golden protective shield appeared around Xiao Wu. When the fireball made contact with her, a violent explosion erupted.

With a loud "boom," the entire arena was engulfed in a sea of flames.

Huo Wu furrowed her brow, her fists clenched tightly, indicating her agitation. She knew that even though Xiao Wu was a Soul King, taking the full brunt of the Fire Dance Sun Blaze after the fusion skill should either kill or seriously injure her.

Moreover, the Soul Master competition strictly forbade fighting to the point of disfigurement or death. In serious cases, Blaze Academy could even be disqualified from the future rounds.

As her thoughts raced, Huo Wu suddenly heard Huo Wushuang's anxious voice.

"Sister, be careful!"

Huo Wushuang hadn't seen Xiao Wu's figure yet, but from the calm expressions of Ning Rongrong and the others, he deduced that the little rabbit must have some countermeasure in place. She couldn't possibly lose to the Fire Dance Sun Blaze.

Huo Wu snapped back to reality at the sound of her brother's call, searching frantically through the sea of flames for Xiao Wu's figure.

But it was too late. Xiao Wu, using her Invincible Golden Body to block the Fire Dance Sun Blaze, had already teleported behind Huo Wu.

"Eight-Stage Throw!"

Huo Wu's soul nearly left her body when she heard the sound from behind. She tried to release her third soul skill, but it was too late.

Her chin took a heavy blow, sending her flying into the air, her head spinning with dizziness.

Moments later, pain shot through her rear end.

It turned out that Xiao Wu's Eight-Stage Throw had landed squarely on her behind.

Initially, Xiao Wu had intended to go all out, but seeing how Huo Wu had warned her to run just before the attack, Xiao Wu decided to give her only a small lesson.

"Ugh."

The Eight-Stage Throw was completed smoothly, and Huo Wu landed behind the arena in a "falling crane" style, letting out a painful cry.

Knowing that she had lost the fight, Huo Wu glared fiercely at the little rabbit on the stage, receiving applause. She then stood up, clutching her behind, and limped off toward the waiting area.

"Sister, are you okay?"

Seeing her brother rush up anxiously to check on her injuries, Huo Wu's face turned red. How could she admit that her rear end was so swollen she couldn't even stand properly?

How embarrassing for a grown woman.

With a heavy heart, she could only smile at her brother and say, "Don't worry, I'm fine!"

Huo Wushuang let out a small sigh of relief upon hearing her, then gave a grateful glance to Xiao Wu.

"She's actually pretty nice!"

After he spoke, Huo Wushuang heard a strange sound beside him, almost like someone baring their teeth.

He turned back to look at his sister, who was forcing a smile that looked more painful than crying.

"Yeah, she's actually pretty nice."

With that, she quickly avoided Huo Wushuang's gaze, covering her behind as she walked toward the resting area.

Though Huo Wushuang found it strange, he didn't give it much thought. He quickly indicated to the referee that he forfeited, not believing he could face the remaining five Soul Kings and one Soul Ancestor by himself.

With Huo Wushuang's forfeit, Royal Fight Team II completed their promotion match journey and advanced to the finals with an undefeated record.

As Blaze Academy was walking out of the arena, they encountered Feng Xiaotian, who had been waiting by the entrance.

When Huo Wu approached, Feng Xiaotian pulled out a jade box from his soul tool and handed it to her.

"Huo Wu, this is the Wind Family's patented balm, which has a powerful healing effect for external injuries."

Huo Wu, who had been confused about why Feng Xiaotian was waiting for her, turned red with embarrassment upon hearing this. She shot him a fierce glare.

"No need, I'm not injured!"

"Huo Wu, I watched the match closely. Don't be so stubborn."

Feng Xiaotian wasn't discouraged by her rude rejection and, with persistence, offered the balm again.

Even Huo Wushuang, who had been hesitant, realized that his sister was truly injured and quickly joined in to persuade her.

"Sister, where are you hurt? Please take it!"

Huo Wu's face turned darker, and she felt the pain in her injured spot intensify, but seeing that neither of them would give up, she snatched the jade box from Feng Xiaotian's hands with a cold snort and quickly left the arena.

But her walk, how should one put it… looked a bit comical.

Huo Wushuang scratched his head, puzzled. He nudged Feng Xiaotian.

"What's going on with her?"

"It's nothing, she's probably just upset about losing the match."

"Really?"

Huo Wushuang wasn't quite convinced, but he didn't pursue the issue further. He turned to Feng Xiaotian, who still didn't seem to be leaving.

"Brother Feng, is there anything else?"

"There is something I'd like to discuss with Brother Huo. How about we go have a drink together?"

"Sure, go ahead. I'll just let my father know."

Having won, Xiao Wu returned to the team with her nose in the air, eagerly looking at Ning Bei.

In this promotion match, only Xiao Wu had participated. The other teams didn't even get a chance to gather information.

Naturally, Ning Bei didn't hesitate to shower her with compliments, praising the little rabbit so much that she almost thought about what to name her future children.

As a reward, they even ordered a table full of exquisite dishes from a well-known restaurant in Soul Master City, making Xiao Wu extremely happy for quite some time.

Ning Rongrong subtly distanced herself from her friends, afraid others might find out she knew Xiao Wu.

"One table of carrots and she's this happy. Truly embarrassing, such a useless thing."

Next came a week of rest for all participating teams, and Ning Bei didn't give the little ones any further instructions. After all, with their strength, the championship was almost guaranteed.

One week later, the finals began.

Ning Bei couldn't help but complain about the format of the Soul Master competition. The three seed teams were directly placed into the finals and even got a bye in the first round.

He didn't mind the Wuhun Hall team getting a bye, but did Star Luo Royal Academy and Tiandou Royal Academy really deserve to be in the same league? Of course not!

Star Luo at least had Dai Weisi and Zhu Zhuyun, both advanced Soul Ancestors with a fusion skill. Meanwhile, the leader of the Tiandou team was Ning Bei's old brother, Yu Tianheng, a mere 43rd-level Soul Ancestor.

After taking Dugu Yan, they replaced her with a 41st-level Control-type Soul Ancestor with a Mandala Snake martial soul. The rest of the team remained the same.

They didn't even stand a chance against Star Luo or Wuhun Hall, and might even lose to Element Academy.

What kind of seed team was that? It was a complete joke. How could they call it a seed team when they were just padding their numbers?

And as for the promotion matches, they were completely unnecessary. Why not just have a qualification round and go straight to elimination matches?

But complaints aside, Ning Bei wasn't interested in wasting energy to change the competition rules. It was just more rounds of weak teams clashing.

The draw ceremony concluded, and Royal Fight Team II's opponent for the first round of the finals was Thunder Academy, another team that had forfeited in the first two rounds.

Chapter 205: Ah Du Makes His Appearance

After learning the draw results, Thunder Academy's group was in a very bad mood, not expecting to face the strongest opponent in the first round.

The little rabbit, too, had run into an unfortunate situation. In the original story, she had been with Tang San for seven or eight years, only managing to become a Soul Ancestor when the Soul Master competition came around. Even the cat from Shrek, who had the worst talent, had surpassed her.

Later, in the promotion matches, she also faced Thunder Academy and was defeated by a supporting character, whom Ning Bei couldn't quite remember, using a martial soul called the Thunder Spider.

But now, whether it was her cultivation or soul ring configuration, the little rabbit was on a completely different level compared to her original self. Naturally, she wouldn't lose this time.

What surprised Ning Bei, though, was that this time, the little rabbit didn't plan to be the first to go out.

She made an excuse: "Sister Xiao Wu, I've already shown my power in the last round. Now, it's time to give the younger ones a chance to perform."

Long Nianbing and the others had mostly acted as fillers in the previous matches, so they didn't refuse Xiao Wu's kind gesture. They also wanted a chance to show what they could do.

Since Royal Fight Team II had finished first in the overall score during the promotion round, they were the first team to enter the arena in the finals.

The audience erupted in deafening cheers as the little rabbit, who had performed so well in the previous rounds, walked out of the entrance.

"Miss Rabbit, where did you buy your carrots? I want some too!"

"Xiao Wu, where did you buy your sunflower seeds? I want some too!"

"Soft Bone Charm Rabbit, where did you buy your earrings? I want to buy them too!"

A two-meter-tall, muscle-bound man said this, making Ning Bei feel a chill down his spine.

The little rabbit had been pleased by the cheers at first, but hearing these comments made her shake with anger.

"Am I just a snack in your eyes, after all the hard work I put into this competition?"

As the referee called the contestants onto the stage, after a brief discussion, Ah Du was the first to step up.

The finals were divided into individual and team battles. The individual battles followed the same format as the promotion matches, but with an additional round of team battles.

Now Ning Bei wanted to complain about the competition system. What if there's a tie after two rounds, with one win and one loss?

What? You say there will be an extra round of team battles? Why not just solve it in one round of team battles?

Ah Du 's appearance took Thunder Academy by surprise. They had expected it to be the little rabbit again, so their pre-arranged strategy was immediately overturned.

Since Ah Du had appeared so rarely in the past, Thunder Academy had no real idea of his abilities. Most of the Royal Fight Team II members had forfeited, so they hadn't had a chance to face them.

"Ah Du , martial soul Death God Scythe, 54th-level Battle Soul King, pleased to meet you!"

"Lei Dong, martial soul Thunder Spider, 41st-level Battle Soul Ancestor, pleased to meet you!"

Lei Dong, a supporting character from the original work, was the one who defeated Xiao Wu. But now, facing Ah Du , he was already a little worried before the fight even started.

The soul power difference was simply too shocking.

When the referee announced the start of the match, a flash of black light passed over Ah Du 's body, and a long, pitch-black scythe with dark gold patterns appeared in his hand.

One yellow, two purple, and two black soul rings appeared in succession, while Lei Dong's soul rings were more common, two yellow and two purple, standard fare.

On the high platform, Bibi Dong, who was watching the match, gripped her scepter tightly, her silver teeth biting down as she shot Ning Bei a sharp glare.

Her eyes seemed to say, "You dog, hiding all the good stuff."

Ning Bei pretended not to notice her stare and continued whispering with Dugu Yan, completely ignoring the Pope's fury.

Next to Bibi Dong, Hu Liena trembled slightly, as if she couldn't stand steady, and took a half step back, muttering to herself, "Impossible, impossible."

Clearly, the appearance of another Soul King had cast a shadow over Wuhun Hall's hopes of defending their title and had dealt a heavy blow to the little fox's confidence.

While everyone's thoughts were swirling, the two fighters on the stage were focused on the match. Following the "first bird to fly" principle, Lei Dong decided to strike first.

His third purple soul ring flashed, and the entire arena was enveloped in a bright white spider web.

"Third Soul Skill: Thunder Web."

The Thunder Web didn't have any attacking power but could make it impossible for the enemy to hide any movement, allowing Lei Dong to anticipate his opponent's every action and strike first.

The idea was good, but his opponent was Ah Du . Since the ground wasn't the best place to stay, Ah Du simply decided not to stay on the ground.

"Third Soul Skill: Phantom Step."

Ah Du 's third purple soul ring lit up, and he immediately melded with the arena.

Lei Dong, who had closed his eyes to focus, suddenly became alarmed. In his perception, the enemy had completely vanished.

"How is this possible? How can someone evade the Thunder Web's detection?"

But Ah Du didn't give him time to be surprised. He instantly moved from beneath the ground to Lei Dong's side and emerged, swinging his massive scythe.

"First Soul Skill: Scythe Sweep."

Fortunately, Lei Dong sensed Ah Du 's presence when he emerged from the ground, and his second soul skill, Thunder Spike, intercepted the scythe.

A loud "clang" sounded as the metal collided in the center of the arena.

However, as a Soul Ancestor, Lei Dong was no match for Ah Du 's power. The Thunder Spike was easily shattered, and Ah Du 's figure continued to move behind Lei Dong. With a turn, he delivered a powerful slash.

A scream rang out as Lei Dong was sent flying off the stage, a blood streak appearing on his chest.

"The first match is won by Ah Du from Royal Fight Team II!"

"Yay, Ah Du , that's the way!"

"Ah Du , later use the Eight-Stage Throw that Xiao Wu taught you!"

Ning Rongrong and Xiao Wu cheered excitedly from the side, as if they had won the match themselves.

Ah Du showed them a silly grin, looking somewhat shy, a sharp contrast to his decisive actions earlier.

Soon after, the next five members of Thunder Academy were easily sent off the stage by Ah Du . His Phantom Step combined with Scythe Sweep was incredibly difficult to deal with. Even though Thunder Academy knew he was coming from the ground, and that he would wield a scythe, they simply couldn't defend against him. With his soul power more than ten levels higher than theirs, they were powerless.

Finally, the leader of Thunder Academy, Yu Tianxin, slowly stepped onto the stage. His face was grim, and he knew his team's road to the finals had come to an end.

He didn't choose to forfeit again but instead decided to give it one last shot, hoping to at least be remembered.

Yu Tianxin was also a member of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, the nephew of Yu Xiaogang and Liu Erlong, and the grandson of Yu Luomian.

At this moment, both Big Wet and Erlong were nervously watching their nephew. They didn't think he had any chance of winning.

" Tianxin..."

"It's okay. Think of it as training for his mentality," replied Yu Xiaogang.

Yu Tianxin, after considering his options, looked at Ah Du with a determined gaze.

"You're strong, but I won't admit defeat. I will prove that the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon is the strongest beast martial soul!"

Ah Du was slightly stunned. "I didn't say the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon isn't the strongest beast martial soul... are you trying to challenge me?"
