Chapter 740 - 91-95

Chapter 191: The Great Priest Seeks an Audience

Bibi Dong froze for a moment, then a slight smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.

She stretched lazily, stood up, and walked down from the high platform to stand beside Ning Bei.

"Did the old guys from the Hall of Elders come looking for you?"

Ning Bei raised an eyebrow slightly. It seemed this woman had been keeping an eye on the movements of the Hall of Elders, which is how she knew he had visited the Hall.

She couldn't have been watching him all the time, right?

"That's right, I was consulting them about some matters related to the Divine Trial."

Since Qian Renxue was still opposed to revealing their relationship to Bibi Dong, Ning Bei casually made up an excuse to brush it off.

"The Divine Trial?"

Bibi Dong's brows furrowed slightly, and her expression seemed to show some displeasure.

"Why didn't you ask me about the Divine Trial? Do you look down on me?"

Ning Bei gave a neutral nod. Bibi Dong's mocking expression slowly collapsed, and she gritted her teeth and said:

"What... do you mean?"

Ning Bei helplessly shrugged.

"Am I supposed to ask you how to get tricked by the gods? Or how to complete the Divine Trial without getting a single reward?"

Bibi Dong's previously regal posture completely crumbled. What was wrong with this guy? How long had it been since they last met? And he started right off by stabbing at her heart?

"You're really something!"

Seeing Bibi Dong's gloomy face, Ning Bei realized he had said something too hurtful. He looked at her with amusement.

"Hey, Your Majesty the Pope, is it that hard to take a joke? I haven't seen you in a while, and it's a bit awkward between us, don't you think?"

"Hmph!"

Bibi Dong snorted coldly, slowly walked over to the window, and gazed out. A hint of melancholy appeared on her face.

"It's normal that you don't look up to me. After all, I don't have any abilities to make you think highly of me."

"..."

After a long silence, Bibi Dong didn't hear Ning Bei respond. She turned around, wondering where he had gone, only to find that Ning Bei had already seated himself on the Pope's throne, casually fiddling with it.

"What are you doing?"

"Huh? Your Majesty the Pope, this chair isn't anything special!"

Looking at Ning Bei's relaxed posture, Bibi Dong helplessly rubbed her forehead.

"Can you have some dignity?"

Ning Bei, reclining lazily, lifted his gaze slightly.

"Don't be so stingy. I'm just a guest here, and there's only one chair in this broken Pope's hall. Where else am I supposed to sit?"

"Or, you can sit too. Here, I'll leave half of it for you!"

Saying that, Ning Bei shifted over slightly and patted the empty space next to him, not even bothering to hide his nonchalance. The throne was quite large, and there was plenty of room for two people.

Bibi Dong was almost made speechless by this shameless person. He truly didn't treat himself as an outsider.

"By the way, Your Majesty the Pope, why did you call me here?"

Bibi Dong glared at him and, expressionless, took something from her soul guide device and threw it towards Ning Bei's handsome face.

Ning Bei caught it with one hand. It was a soul bone, and its quality wasn't low.

After a moment of realization, Ning Bei snapped to attention. Was she still owing him a soul bone? Without hesitation, he absorbed the 100,000-year-old Soft Bone Rabbit soul bone into his soul guide.

He flashed a bright smile at Bibi Dong.

"Thanks a lot, Your Majesty the Pope. I'll treat you to a meal next time!"

"That's enough, if there's nothing else, you can go now."

Bibi Dong handed him the soul bone and immediately issued the dismissal order.

Ning Bei didn't get up, instead teasingly looking at her.

"I'm an old friend coming to visit you, and you don't even offer me a cup of tea before kicking me out? Isn't that a bit too much, Your Majesty the Pope?"

"Get lost, and take a crawling exit!"

Bibi Dong pointed towards the door of the hall, slightly trembling, though it was hard to tell whether it was from excitement or anger.

Ning Bei rolled his eyes. If she didn't want him to drink tea, fine. Just as he was about to get up, an enchanting figure slowly entered the hall.

The woman had golden short hair, and with every glance or smile, she exuded an air of seduction.

"Teacher, there's a middle-aged man outside holding a token who requests an audience!"

"Huh?"

Ning Bei clicked his tongue. Was it time for an old lover reunion? Maybe he should slip away before this woman got upset.

"Uh, Your Majesty the Pope, I'll be on my way then. I won't disturb your little date."

Huo Lianna, upon hearing the voice coming from the Pope's chair, immediately froze. She looked incredulously at Ning Bei sitting on the throne.

"You... you…"

She couldn't fathom how anyone could be so bold as to sit in her teacher's exclusive seat.

After trying to figure it out in her head, Huo Lianna turned to Bibi Dong, her face full of suspicion, silently asking how they should dismantle this guy piece by piece.

Bibi Dong shot Ning Bei an unhappy glance. She felt like his words earlier were mocking her.

She gestured for her disciple to leave.

"Na Na, go bring the man holding the token here."

"But he…"

Huo Lianna, trembling, pointed at Ning Bei in the Pope's chair. Before she could say anything more, Bibi Dong interrupted her.

"Go out first!"

"Yes, teacher."

The little fox dared not argue further. She shot Ning Bei an angry glance, then quickly left the hall.

The vicious look on her face made Ning Bei scratch his head in confusion. He thought, this person might have a problem.

"Well, I'll leave then!"

"No need. Let's meet him together, shall we?"

Ning Bei: ??????

When I ask questions, it's not because I have a problem, it's because I think you have a problem. What are you keeping me here for with your old lover?

Although confused, Ning Bei didn't argue and decided to stay and watch the drama unfold.

He walked down from the high platform to stand beside Bibi Dong, observing her expression.

Once Huo Lianna had left the Pope's hall, Bibi Dong clenched her lips, and her voice took on a questioning tone:

"What do you think he's here for?"

Seeing her conflicted little expression, Ning Bei almost couldn't suppress his laughter. What else could he be here for? To ask you about the cultivation method for the Twin Martial Souls, and then have his disciple come and kill you?

Though he thought this in his head, saying it out loud would have been too hurtful. After pretending to think for a moment, Ning Bei falsely speculated:

"Could he be here to rekindle old flames with you? After all, there's no real obstacle between you two now, right?"

Upon hearing this, Bibi Dong tightened her fist, her nails digging into her palm.

In the countless nights when the power of the Rakshasa God had invaded her soul, she had hoped he would come to Spirit Hall to find her. But unfortunately, he had not.

She had been the Pope of Spirit Hall for many decades. If he truly cared about her, why would he have waited until now to come?

The most likely explanation was what Ning Bei had said earlier—he had come to ask for the cultivation method for the Twin Martial Souls for his disciple.

"Yu Xiaogang, you heartless bastard!"

Knowing that the person was the son of her bitter enemy, and yet he had concealed it, all the while trying to use their past bond to get the Twin Martial Souls' cultivation method.

Seeing the black aura manifesting above her head, the resentment and hatred now tangible, Ning Bei silently took out a Soul Cleansing Pill and placed it in Bibi Dong's mouth.

Bibi Dong, who had been immersed in her resentful thoughts, was startled by Ning Bei's actions. She stared at him in confusion.

After feeling the pill in her mouth, her expression gradually softened, and she silently swallowed it. The manifested resentment slowly dissipated.

"Maybe I should leave now?"

"Hmph, no need. Don't you want to see if your guess from a few years ago was correct?"

Chapter 192: No Bottom Line

"Do as you wish, I'm just worried about you feeling embarrassed. If you're not afraid, why should I be?"

Ning Bei shrugged and lazily walked towards the high platform, sitting back on the throne and casually pulling out some melon seeds to snack on.

Bibi Dong furrowed her brows slightly, unsure if keeping him around was the right decision.

A few minutes later, Huo Lianna entered the hall with a stiff-faced man. She glanced deeply at Ning Bei, who was eating melon seeds on the Pope's throne, as if trying to memorize his appearance. She then nodded to her teacher and respectfully exited the hall.

The man, seeing that the little fox had left, didn't notice Ning Bei on the high platform and thought that it was just the two of them alone in the hall.

After a moment of preparation, he stepped forward, his face shifting to a look of deep affection, and he nervously approached Ning Bei, trembling slightly as he spoke.

"Dong Dong'er, it's been a long time, and you're still as beautiful as ever!"

Ning Bei saw everything, nearly spitting out the melon seeds he just cracked. "Good, good! So that's how we're playing it, huh?"

Bibi Dong's brows furrowed even deeper, and after a while, she seemed to snap back to reality, stepping back a half-step, silently creating some distance.

"Senior Yu, please mind your words. You should address me as Your Majesty the Pope!"

A flash of pain appeared on the man's face as he closed his eyes and tilted his head slightly.

"Your... Your Majesty the Pope."

Bibi Dong gave him a complicated glance before her expression returned to its usual indifference. She spoke calmly, her voice cutting through the tension.

"Senior Yu, what is it that you seek from me?"

Knowing that it would be a bit abrupt to directly ask for the method of cultivating the Twin Martial Souls, Yu Xiaogang tried to soften the mood. He pulled at his lips, then replaced his face with a look of longing.

"Dong'er... are we really going to become this distant?"

"That's enough. I've told you already, call me Your Majesty the Pope. If you dare offend me again, I'll have someone throw you out."

Yu Xiaogang, hurt, clutched his chest and took a few steps back. It seemed like he hadn't expected Bibi Dong to treat him this way. He sighed deeply.

"Your Majesty the Pope, I came here today because I have something to ask."

Bibi Dong gave him a cold, side-long glance, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"A Soul Master like you, why would you need to come here for something?"

It was clear. She wasn't interested in the petty disputes between Soul Masters.

Yu Xiaogang urgently raised his head, reaching out to grab Bibi Dong's arm, but was pushed back by a wave of soul power. He couldn't care less about this now.

"There's only you who can help with this!"

"Hmph, speak then."

Seeing that Bibi Dong seemed to be willing to listen, Yu Xiaogang relaxed his mind and put on a composed and wise expression, saying:

"I've taken on a disciple, one of the only two people in the world to possess Twin Martial Souls. But now, he is facing a Martial Soul conflict, and I want to ask you for the method of cultivating Twin Martial Souls!"

His heart finally settled, but Bibi Dong's eyes grew colder.

"If I'm not mistaken, your disciple is Tang Hao's son, right?"

Upon hearing this, Yu Xiaogang's face turned pale with shock. He didn't know how she knew, but since she asked, it meant she had confirmed Tang San's identity.

"Your Majesty the Pope, I can guarantee, on my name, that after Tang San gains strength, he will never pose any threat to Spirit Hall."

He raised three fingers to the sky, as if afraid Bibi Dong wouldn't believe him, and swore with utmost seriousness:

"Really, I swear!"

Ning Bei, who had been watching from the high platform, covered his mouth tightly, nearly laughing out loud. You think you can smooth over your mother's murder with a few words? Does your dad, Yu Yuanzhen, know about your arrogance?

What "on your name"? You don't even have any name to speak of.

Bibi Dong's eyelid twitched after hearing Yu Xiaogang's oath. What kind of person had she once been interested in? Was that really his face growing on his neck?

Bibi Dong was disgusted. After a while, she managed to suppress her emotions.

"You don't have to worry about your disciple. I've already sent someone to kill him."

Both Yu Xiaogang and Ning Bei were shocked. Yu Xiaogang hadn't expected her to be so ruthless, and Ning Bei didn't expect Bibi Dong to be just like in the original story, sending people to assassinate Tang San.

After the shock, Yu Xiaogang was filled with rage. He pointed at Bibi Dong's nose and started shouting.

"You poisonous woman! You abandoned me 20 years ago for power, and now, for your own selfish desires, you want to harm the genius of the continent. Your heart is as poisonous as a snake's!"

"You're not even worth one of Er Long's hairs!"

Bibi Dong tightly closed her eyes. Even though she had long known what kind of person he was, hearing him say these words to her face still caused her heart to ache.

After a long pause, Bibi Dong opened her eyes, and the temperature in the hall seemed to drop several degrees. She parted her red lips lightly.

"Say whatever you want. If there's nothing else, leave."

Upon hearing Bibi Dong's order to leave, Yu Xiaogang immediately panicked. He stepped forward again, wanting to grab her arm, but was once again pushed back by soul power.

"Dong'er, Your Majesty the Pope, please don't harm Tang San. He's really a good child."

"He knows how to respect his elders, is kind-hearted, knows how to take his opportunities, has outstanding talent, and works hard to cultivate. He's just like how I was when I was young. Please show mercy."

"I spit!"

Ning Bei, who had been holding back his laughter, couldn't hold it in any longer. He spat with all his might, thoroughly disgusted.

"You're grossing out your ex, but can you stop grossing me out too? You call that 'good-hearted'? What kind of good-hearted person goes around saying things like 'you have a way to die'?"

"What kind of good-hearted person becomes successful and never returns to Holy Soul Village to visit Old Jack, who helped him?"

"Who?"

The voice from Ning Bei startled Yu Xiaogang, and he looked toward the high platform, realizing that someone was sitting on the Pope's throne.

When he saw the person clearly, he pointed at Ning Bei, trembling and taking several steps back.

"You... How are you here?!"

Clearly, after their previous confrontation in the preliminaries, Ning Bei had left a lasting impression on him.

Ning Bei rolled his eyes and ignored him, continuing to crack melon seeds.

Yu Xiaogang didn't get a response. He turned back to Bibi Dong.

"Your Majesty the Pope, he's from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School. Don't be deceived by him."

Clearly, seeing Ning Bei sitting on the throne without any objection from Bibi Dong made Yu Xiaogang misinterpret the situation, so he tried to expose Ning Bei's identity.

"I know. What does that have to do with you?"

Bibi Dong glanced at Yu Xiaogang coldly but didn't scold Ning Bei for his impudence.

"You... Dong'er, are you foolish? The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School poses the biggest threat to Spirit Hall. How can you listen to his sweet words? And let him sit... sit..."

Clearly, Ning Bei's treatment made Yu Xiaogang so jealous that his eyes were turning red.

He had begged to learn the cultivation method for the Twin Martial Souls but couldn't get it. Meanwhile, the guy on the high platform, clearly close to Bibi Dong, was making him seethe with jealousy.

Bibi Dong, however, looked at Yu Xiaogang's expression with amusement and her eyes slightly lit up, as if she had thought of something interesting.

Chapter 193: Elder Yu Spits Blood Three Times

Bibi Dong turned and glanced at Ning Bei on the high platform.

Just a single glance made Ning Bei freeze for three seconds, the melon seeds he had been eating falling to the floor unnoticed.

What did he just see? That affectionate, loving look in Bibi Dong's eyes—what's going on? Did something go wrong?

Before he could make sense of it, Bibi Dong waved at him.

"Abey, come!"

The entire hall fell silent, and Ning Bei trembled slightly, the silence deafening.

Ning Bei dumbly pointed to his own nose, as if confirming whether she was really calling him.

Seeing his confused expression, Bibi Dong covered her mouth and chuckled before once again beckoning him over.

"Abey, come here!"

Yu Xiaogang stood stunned, watching Bibi Dong call Ning Bei with her eyes full of affection. He couldn't say a word, and if he wasn't mistaken, that tone... was it a falsetto?

Swallowing his saliva, Ning Bei slowly stood up, walking towards Bibi Dong with the same steps, sending a questioning glance to her, as if asking, "What are you up to?"

Bibi Dong ignored his exasperated look, taking a half-step forward to loop her arm around his, her delicate head resting gently on his shoulder.

Ning Bei felt his arm sink into a deep pit, his whole body stiffened, not daring to move.

"Elder Yu, let me introduce you," Bibi Dong said, her voice cold and composed, "This is my lover, Ning Bei of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School."

"Tap, tap, tap, tap"

The sound of retreating footsteps mixed with murmurs of "Impossible," "Impossible."

Yu Xiaogang stared at Bibi Dong in disbelief, as though seeking an explanation.

"Dong'er, this isn't possible, you're lying to me, right?"

His already expressionless face became even more grotesque, his features contorted in confusion.

Bibi Dong looked at him expressionlessly and said:

"You said that someone like me, with a heart as poisonous as a snake, would do anything for power, right? If I were to join with Bei'er, Spirit Hall and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School together could easily sweep the continent. Then, how much power do you think I'd have?"

Looking at the miserable expression on his face, Ning Bei finally understood what Bibi Dong was plotting. He shot her a sharp glance. Did she take him for a fool? Using me to provoke this useless man?

This was like throwing chili peppers in front of your neighbor's door—spicy and irritating!

As if sensing his gaze, Bibi Dong's eyes flashed with a hint of guilt.

This hint of guilt brought a glimmer of hope to Yu Xiaogang's heart. He quickly spoke up.

"Dong'er, I knew you were lying to me! You brought this boy to provoke me, didn't you?"

Ning Bei slightly raised an eyebrow. His annoyance had reached its peak. He had come here to mind his own business, just enjoying the show, and now he was being used as a prop. And to make things worse, he was being found out—it was humiliating.

Bibi Dong, seeing his confident look, felt a twinge of discomfort in her heart. With a cold snort, she pulled Ning Bei toward her, facing him, and then with a swift movement, pressed herself against him.

Ning Bei stood frozen, staring at the increasingly beautiful face before him. For a moment, he didn't react, and Bibi Dong took full advantage, pressing her lips against his.

His pupils widened in surprise, and instinctively, his tongue darted out.

This time, Bibi Dong's pupils widened as well, feeling a rush of shame and anger. She started to rethink whether it was worth it to disgust a useless man like this.

But just as she thought about pushing Ning Bei away, she reconsidered. After all, things had gone this far. Pushing him away now would only make it more embarrassing.

One second, two seconds, one minute, two minutes.

Time slowly passed, and the whole hall became so silent that one could almost hear a mosquito's wings flapping. The only sound was Yu Xiaogang trembling on the spot, watching the "dog couple" in front of him showing their affection.

Yu Xiaogang took a few steps back, his body shaking as he steadied himself, his eyes filled with murderous intent as he glared at Ning Bei.

Ning Bei, having regained his composure, couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. He didn't know whether he had lost or gained anything in this situation.

He glanced at the annoying, stiff-faced man, and seeing that he still dared to glare at him, a wicked smile appeared on Ning Bei's face. This was his moment to take advantage—let's see if this guy can't stand it.

Taking two steps forward, he moved past the trembling Bibi Dong and placed himself behind her, wrapping his arms around her body.

Feeling her slightly tremble in his arms, Ning Bei felt a small sense of satisfaction. That's what you get for making a move without discussing it first.

The show may have been yours to start, but now it was my turn to decide when it ends.

His large hands wandered over her body for a moment before settling on her lower abdomen.

"Dong'er, yesterday you asked me if I've thought about the name for our child."

"Huh?"

Bibi Dong froze, her eyes widening as she seemed to think back to when he had mentioned it.

After a brief pause, her expression softened and she gave a small, sweet smile. She gently placed her hands over his that were resting on her stomach.

"Have you thought of a name?"

"Ning Nian Dong, what do you think?"

Bibi Dong's cheeks flushed again, and after murmuring softly to herself, she smiled and said:

"Sounds good to me."

Ning Bei smiled wickedly, leaning forward to plant a kiss on her delicate face. Breathing in the sweet fragrance of her hair, he felt a ripple in his heart.

"My Dong'er is so good!"

The two of them swayed together, ignoring the world around them, just like a couple on a romantic evening, enjoying each other's warmth.

Every now and then, Ning Bei would lightly kiss her warm earlobe, feeling her body gently tremble with each touch.

"Ugh!"

An untimely noise broke the harmonious atmosphere between the two. It turned out to be Yu Xiaogang, who had spit out a mouthful of blood onto the floor.

With bloodshot eyes, he shakily lifted his head.

"You two dogs! I'm going to kill you!"

He summoned Luo Sanpao, two yellow soul rings appeared around him.

"Farting like thunder—Thunderous Destruction!"

Before the words even left his mouth, Ning Bei's condensed soul power slapped him five meters away.

Then, Ning Bei carefully pinched Bibi Dong's nose.

"Do you have any sense of public decency? My dear is still carrying a baby, and you want her to smell your fart?"

Bibi Dong rolled her eyes at him but didn't argue.

Yu Xiaogang, lying on the floor, once again spat blood, and Ning Bei couldn't help but marvel at his thick bloodline.

Seeing that Yu Xiaogang could still hold on, Ning Bei grinned and released his hold on Bibi Dong's nose. With a playful smile, he looked down at Yu Xiaogang.

"Ah!"

Ning Bei softly pressed his lips to Bibi Dong's delicate collarbone, leaving a bright red mark. He then leaned in and playfully glanced at Yu Xiaogang.

"Ugh!"

Yu Xiaogang, his eyes wide with shock, coughed up another large mouthful of blood before collapsing unconscious.

Just as Ning Bei was savoring the softness in his arms, Huo Lianna, hearing the sounds of battle, rushed into the hall.

She looked around.

Hmm? A middle-aged man, unconscious and covered in blood, no big deal.

Hmm? A young man hugging his teacher? Also no big deal... wait, what?! This is serious!

She couldn't believe her eyes and, trembling, quickly backed out of the hall.

"Teacher... I didn't see anything!"

After saying this, she ran off in the distance, fearing that if she were even a second late, she might end up being silenced.

Chapter 194: Full and Ready to Beat the Chef

"How long are you going to keep hugging me?"

The voice from her arms was no longer sweet but cold and piercing. The moment Ning Bei realized this, he immediately released her and took a few steps back.

Bibi Dong turned back and gave him a half-smiling, half-serious glance. The smile sent a chill down Ning Bei's spine.

"Children? Ning Nian Dong? How do you want to die?"

Ning Bei scratched his head awkwardly and explained, "Wasn't I just helping the Pope perform? You can judge whether it worked or not!"

He pointed toward the lifeless body of Yu Xiaogang lying in a pool of blood.

"Hmph!"

Bibi Dong shot Ning Bei a cold glare, then called the guards to carry Yu Xiaogang away and throw him out of the Spirit Hall.

"Aren't you leaving?"

"Tch, the women below, used and then discarded!"

Ning Bei muttered under his breath as he walked toward the door, but how could his voice escape the ears of a Super Douluo? The cold and biting tone reached him again.

"What did you say?"

"I said, thank you, Dong'er!"

Bibi Dong's face froze, her eyes narrowing as she glared at Ning Bei. Her anger was palpable as she gathered soul power in her hand and slapped it toward him.

Ning Bei quickly dodged and shot a displeased glance at Bibi Dong.

"Hey, don't go overboard. You're the one who kissed me first, I was caught off guard!"

She responded with another slap, this time harder than before.

Ning Bei dodged again, his eyes now filled with a cold resolve.

"What the hell are you doing? If you keep going, I'll hit back!"

"Hmph!"

Bibi Dong remained silent. She didn't understand why she felt the urge to strike the man in front of her, but the desire to slap him was undeniable.

When she made another move, Ning Bei decided he wouldn't hold back. He lightly tapped the ground, and his Everfrost Domain spread.

Caught off guard, Bibi Dong was immediately frozen in ice. After a shiver, she shattered the ice, but before she could attack again, she was frozen once more.

Bibi Dong's face grew darker. She dared to strike because she didn't think Ning Bei could handle her. However, she hadn't expected that Ning Bei could now match her without relying on external forces.

Realizing this, she refused to concede, and a strange scene unfolded in the hall.

Surrounded by a faint blue glow, a stunning woman was continuously frozen by ice, then shattered it, only to be frozen again, repeating the cycle.

Half an hour passed, and seeing no movement from the ice sculpture in front of him, Ning Bei slowly walked up to it, tapping the ice sculpture's head with his finger.

With a "crack," the ice on the sculpture's head shattered, revealing Bibi Dong's beautiful face.

After a brief struggle, Bibi Dong glared at him with a displeased expression.

"What are you staring at? Let me out!"

"Heh! Still so defiant even when frozen?"

Hearing this, Ning Bei, in a bad mood, stretched out his right hand, blew a few breaths on his fingers, and gave Bibi Dong a few playful flicks on the head.

The crisp sounds echoed in the Pope's hall, and Bibi Dong's eyes turned red with fury as she ground her teeth in anger.

"Ning Bei, you bastard, let me out now, or—"

Ning Bei interrupted her threat with a mocking tone, mimicking her.

"Or what? You're turning your face faster than flipping a book. Who was it earlier who said, 'Abey, come here!'?"

Bibi Dong's face turned crimson, whether from anger or embarrassment, or perhaps a mix of both.

"I warn you, let me out now, or—"

"Thinking what, huh? If I let you out, you'll just hit me again!"

"I-I promise I won't hit you again, okay?"

Ning Bei looked at her with disdain. "You think I don't know what you're up to, you bad woman?"

"Not hitting, just kicking, huh?"

"Ning Bei!!!"

Seeing that she couldn't get a rise out of him, Bibi Dong screamed in frustration, her voice so loud that even the guards outside turned to glance at the closed hall doors.

"Alright, alright, you stay here and reflect for a while. The ice will melt in ten minutes. I'm leaving now."

"You bastard, don't let me see you again!"

As Ning Bei turned and opened the hall doors, Bibi Dong called out again in a panic.

Ning Bei closed the door and walked back to Bibi Dong, his expression turning serious.

"Did you really send someone to assassinate Tang Hao's son?"

Bibi Dong rolled her eyes.

"Am I that stupid? I know it won't succeed, I just wanted to scare that hypocrite."

"Now let me go, or..."

Ning Bei clarified his suspicions by immediately pressing his lips to her chatterbox of a mouth.

"Behave, reflect on yourself, I'm leaving now!"

"Ah!!!!"

In the blink of an eye, Ning Bei disappeared into the hall, leaving behind a furious Bibi Dong frozen in the ice.

Without saying a word, Ning Bei enjoyed the lingering warmth in his arms, whistling as he made his way back to the hotel booked by the Tiandou Empire for the academies.

He didn't disturb anyone and went straight to Dugu Yan's room.

"Back already? Did the Pope need anything from you?"

The woman who opened the door looked at Ning Bei with bright eyes and then asked about his experience at the Spirit Hall.

Of course, Ning Bei couldn't tell the whole truth, especially not when he was still thinking about the Nightlight Soul Bone tonight.

"I traded a soul bone with the Pope. I gave her mine earlier, and this time, she gave me the one I needed."

Dugu Yan didn't ask too many questions. It wasn't something she needed to worry about. However, the strong scent of perfume on Ning Bei made her face darken.

Her self-created soul skill immediately activated, and she used her 361-degree Fatal Soul Grip on her man.

"Exchanging soul bones? I bet it was the Nightlight Soul Bone, right?"

"Awoooooo!"

After a while, Ning Bei, muttering to himself about how Dugu Yan had a dog's nose, rubbed the soft flesh around his waist and said:

"Wasn't it just a little fun sparring with the Pope?"

They did exchange a few rounds, in words—who wouldn't call that sparring?

Dugu Yan glanced at him suspiciously.

"Really?"

"Of course, what, do you think I'd go to the Pope to look at the Nightlight Soul Bone?"

"Hmph, I bet you didn't have the guts!"

After thinking for a while, Dugu Yan realized it didn't make sense. The two titled Douluo from Spirit Hall personally invited her man to meet with the Pope. She had seen it with her own eyes, so she didn't press the issue further.

A look of anticipation then crossed her face.

"Well, do you want to accompany me to absorb the God's Spirit Soul Ring now?"

Ning Bei glanced out the window at the approaching night. Absorbing a soul ring so late? Wouldn't that be wasting time?

He pinched the soft flesh on the sides of her face and grinned mischievously.

"Been a while since we enjoyed the Nightlight Soul Bone together. You don't want to, huh? The soul ring can wait until tomorrow morning, anyway, the competition won't start for a few more days."

Dugu Yan's face flushed red, and she was caught off guard by Ning Bei's sudden change of pace, but she quickly glared at him.

"You only care about the Nightlight Soul Bone!"

Ning Bei rubbed his hands together and took slow steps toward her. She didn't move away.

"Who said that? What about the backflip Star Spirit Cat? Which one do you want to see?"

"Go away, I don't want to see either!"

"Well, you don't get to choose."

Chapter 195: Little Rabbit Reunites with Her Mother

A sleepless night passed, and the next morning, Dugu Yan slapped Ning Bei awake from his deep sleep.

"Stinky guy, get up quickly, I'm going to absorb my seventh soul ring."

"Alright, alright, I'm getting up!"

Ning Bei helplessly glanced at the excited woman. It seemed that when it came to her seventh soul ring, she wasn't as calm as she appeared.

After having breakfast, Ning Bei led the woman to the Ice God Temple.

Dugu Yan, who was visiting for the first time, curiously looked around. The entire area was filled with structures made of ice.

"Abey, where is this place?"

"The Ice God Temple. It's a reward obtained after completing the God's Trial. It's also a kind of life-saving ability."

Dugu Yan nodded in understanding, then took out the God-given soul ring Ning Bei had given her.

"Should I start now?"

"Take those pills, then start."

Dugu Yan quickly took out the protective pulse pill and the soul nurturing pill, swallowed them, and then sat cross-legged on the ground, releasing her martial soul.

A dragon's roar rang out, and a green poisonous dragon appeared behind her.

Six soul rings appeared: two yellow, two purple, and two black.

Ning Bei clicked his tongue. How come both of his women had such a poor soul ring configuration? It almost made him feel like he was mistreating them.

But, this wasn't his fault. Dugu Yan's previous soul rings had been arranged by Dugu Bo, and he hadn't worried too much about it. The difference wasn't significant, and the seventh soul ring was now taken care of with the God-given soul ring.

"I'm starting now, Abey!"

With these words, Dugu Yan crushed the light orb in her hand, and a light yellow soul ring appeared in the spot of her seventh soul ring.

Ning Bei wasn't worried about Dugu Yan not being able to bear the pressure of a 100,000-year soul ring. After all, she had consumed two immortal herbs. He relaxed and sat beside her, waiting for her to absorb the soul ring.

As time passed, a painful expression slowly appeared on Dugu Yan's beautiful face.

Five hours later, a touch of blood red appeared on the pitch-black soul ring.

Ning Bei still didn't show any concern. After all, he had life-saving pills, and if needed, he could just give her one.

Dugu Yan didn't disappoint him. Despite her pained expression and her veins bulging, she gritted her teeth and endured.

It wasn't until the soul ring had completely turned blood red and no more black could be seen that she slowly opened her eyes and exhaled deeply.

Then, the woman jumped up, excited, and threw herself into Ning Bei's arms, kissing his handsome face nonstop.

"Mua, mua, Abey, I also have a 100,000-year soul ring now."

Ning Bei caught her and smiled without saying anything. He knew that although she didn't speak of it, she must have been envious seeing the other girls absorb their 10,000-year soul rings.

There were also several times when she had complained to him about how she wished she had been less conservative when absorbing her own soul rings.

"Congratulations to my Yan'er. When Dugu Grandpa arrives, you must show off in front of him."

"Go to hell, is that how you speak to your juniors?"

Although her words were scolding, there was an undeniable excitement in her eyes.

"Tch, acting all innocent."

He guessed that when she saw Dugu Bo, she would be the first to want to show off.

Not for any other reason, but to prove her own judgment.

"I heard you're a Title Douluo? Can I really pick a man that well?"

Apart from the martial soul, the seventh soul skill, and her martial soul's true body, Dugu Yan also gained a powerful control soul skill. After activating her Phosphorus Poison Dragon true body, the power of all her soul skills would be doubled, greatly enhancing her combat strength.

The Soul Master competition would no longer be a challenge for her.

Back at the hotel, Ning Rongrong and the others dragged him around to tour Soul Land, but this time, he wasn't alone—he was accompanied by the other women.

Ye Yinzhhu and the others were also pulled into the group.

Carefree Ning Rongrong had her left arm linked with Dugu Yan and her right arm with Zhu Zhuqing, happily walking along, completely oblivious to any unusual behavior from her companions.

However, Ning Bei noticed the little rabbit trailing behind the group, looking downcast. He suspected that she must have been thinking about her mother. It was indeed rare!

Quietly moving to the back of the group, he ruffled Xiao Wu's head.

The little rabbit froze for a moment and then looked up at Ning Bei with a smile that was more pitiful than a cry.

Unknowingly, Ning Rongrong and the others had already walked far ahead, and the two of them had strayed from the group.

Seeing the situation, Ning Bei didn't hesitate any longer. He directly took Xiao Wu and flew back to the hotel.

"Ning Bei, I'm fine. I just need some rest. You should go accompany Rongrong and the others!"

Ning Bei didn't try to comfort her. Instead, he pulled the little rabbit into his arms, gently patting her back.

Xiao Wu shivered, and then, as if all her bones had softened, she held Ning Bei tightly and began crying uncontrollably.

"Ning Ning Bei, my mother..."

"It's okay. Didn't I promise you that I would bring your mother back to life?"

"B-but... sniff"

Xiao Wu's thoughts went back to her mother's soul bone, which still hadn't been revived. She cried even harder.

Seeing that the little rabbit was on the verge of crying herself unconscious, Ning Bei hurriedly spoke up.

"I've already retrieved the soul bone. While I can't resurrect your mother immediately, I can let you see her first."

Hearing this, Xiao Wu's ears perked up, and she looked at Ning Bei with a face full of joy.

"Really? Ning Bei, Big Brother?"

In the eager gaze of the little rabbit, Ning Bei nodded in confirmation, patting her head and signaling for her to release him.

The little rabbit blushed, quickly stepping back, fiddling with her skirt, yet her gaze never left Ning Bei.

Ning Bei smiled and took out the soul bone he had obtained yesterday from his soul tool.

As soon as the soul bone appeared, Xiao Wu couldn't take her eyes off it, staring intently at Ning Bei's hand.

"Ning Bei, Big Brother, is this my mother's soul bone? The aura on it is so strong, it really is my mother's!"

Xiao Wu's eyes reddened as she looked at Ning Bei, as if ready to cry the moment he said otherwise.

"Yes, this is your mother's soul bone."

With that, Ning Bei handed the soul bone to Xiao Wu.

The little rabbit trembled as she carefully took the soul bone into her arms, gazing at it for a moment. Then, she gently rubbed her cheek against the soul bone as if she had returned to her mother's embrace.

After a while, Xiao Wu anxiously looked up at Ning Bei.

"Ning Bei, Big Brother, you said I could meet my mother. What do you mean by that?"

Without wasting words, Ning Bei produced a soul nurturing pill from his soul tool and walked over to Xiao Wu. He slowly brought the pill close to the soul bone, activating it with his soul power to slowly melt the pill.

Soon, the entire soul bone was surrounded by the fragrance of the soul nurturing pill.

Xiao Wu's eyes remained glued to the soul bone in her hands, afraid that if she looked away for even a moment, she would miss her chance to reunite with her mother.

After a few dozen minutes, the soul bone in her hands seemed to tremble, and then a pink glow erupted from it. A phantom figure appeared in front of Xiao Wu.

The woman who appeared was breathtakingly beautiful, but her face was filled with confusion.

"Mom!"

Xiao Wu gasped in delight and rushed toward the figure. However, the figure wasn't solid. Xiao Wu passed right through her, giving her a dog-eat-dog look.

"Ouch!"
