Chapter 161: Thunder Tribulation Pill
Ice God's figure disappeared once again, without a single word of inquiry.
This showed just how much authority the Ice Emperor held within her clan, saving Ning Bei the trouble of explaining. This journey to the Extreme North had been remarkably smooth.
Ning Bei thought that after sensing the Ice Emperor's aura, the Ice Blue Scorpion clan might surround him first, but that didn't happen.
A few minutes later, Ice Sha reappeared, but this time, she was accompanied by a small Ice Blue Scorpion, only 20 cm long.
"Your Majesty, I've brought the child here!"
"Mm, in two years, she will become the new queen of the Ice Blue Scorpion clan. Until then, you are to protect the tribe."
"Yes, I understand!"
From beginning to end, there were no questions asked, showing just how well the Ice Emperor had trained her clan members.
Ning Bei walked up to the small Ice Blue Scorpion, picking it up. Little Snowflake, on his shoulder, curiously observed the creature.
The little scorpion didn't resist, as Ning Bei's aura, infused with that of the Ice Emperor, made it hard for it to feel any defiance.
"From now on, I'll call you Little Hailstorm."
After placing Little Hailstorm in the Dan Tower's ninth floor, Ning Bei felt its joyful emotions and nodded with a smile.
He then took out an Ice Ling Grass and tossed it to Ice Sha.
"This herb should help you reach the 100,000-year level. Make sure to make the most of it."
Ice God's green eyes glanced toward the Ice Emperor's shadow behind Ning Bei, unsure whether she should accept it.
The Ice Emperor nodded in approval, signaling her to take the herb.
"Take it, it will only benefit you."
"Yes, thank you, Your Excellency, and Your Majesty!"
Ice Sha eagerly took the Ice Ling Grass in her large pincers, feeling the pure ice power within the herb.
This herb was one that Ning Bei had found in the Ice Fire Yin Yang Eye. It didn't belong to the category of immortal herbs but had absorbed the essence of Eight-Cornered Mystic Ice Leaves, granting it spiritual properties.
Even though it wasn't a true immortal herb, it would still be incredibly beneficial for this Ice Blue Scorpion, which had not yet reached 100,000 years.
With the mission accomplished, Ning Bei didn't waste any more time.
Reluctantly, he placed Little Snowflake into the Dan Tower as well.
Fortunately, upon feeling the dense Dan fragrance from the ninth floor, Little Snowflake stopped complaining and started playing with Little Hailstorm.
"Shall we head back now?"
Seeing that everything had been taken care of, the Ice Emperor asked about their next destination.
Ning Bei shook his head, dismissing the idea.
"Let's first find an open space. I have a pill I need to create, and the Extreme North is the perfect place for it."
"What kind of pill requires us to come all the way to the Extreme North?"
Before the Ice Emperor could finish her sentence, she seemed to recall some unpleasant experiences, and her words were suddenly cut short.
"Are you going to summon lightning again?"
The little girl's eyes widened in alarm. She still had vivid memories of the lightning tribulation from the last time, which nearly fried her.
"That's right. Last time, it was an eighth-grade pill's tribulation lightning. This time, I'm making a ninth-grade pill."
Upon hearing this, the Ice Emperor trembled all over. If an eighth-grade pill's tribulation lightning had that kind of power, how powerful would the ninth-grade one be?
"Don't get yourself killed. If you do, Xue'er and I won't even have a place to cry!"
Looking at the trembling little girl, Ning Bei couldn't help but laugh. Even the Ice Emperor was scared of something?
"Don't worry, the pill I'm making is specifically designed to absorb the tribulation lightning."
"Y-you… You just think about it, but I won't be able to block even a little of that lightning."
Without continuing to discuss with the Ice Emperor, Ning Bei found an open area and began to survey the surroundings, which were covered in white snow.
"This should do. If any unlucky soul beasts are underground, I'll apologize in advance!"
After mumbling a few words, Ning Bei summoned his Dan Tower.
The ninth blood-red soul ring emitted a dazzling light.
A 10 cm diameter black-and-white pill appeared in his hand. After the pill appeared, it seemed to have its own consciousness, sprouting a pair of wings made of soul power and flying into the air.
Feeling nearly half of his soul power disappear in an instant, Ning Bei clicked his tongue in amazement. The consumption was immense. After all, his soul power had already reached level 97.
At that moment, the entire sky above the Extreme North was shrouded in dark clouds, and lightning surged within the clouds, resembling silver dragons jumping and twisting.
"This is even more terrifying than my 600,000-year tribulation. It's truly..."
The Snow Emperor stared at the scene in the sky in awe, while the Ice Emperor expressed her disbelief.
"Ning Bei, are you trying to destroy the Extreme North?"
Tianmeng, taking the opportunity, sneaked over to the Ice Emperor's side. Luckily, the Ice Emperor was too focused on the thunderclouds to pay attention.
As the group marveled at the scene, the tribulation lightning surged down, heading straight for the Thunder Tribulation Pill.
A small human face appeared on the Thunder Tribulation Pill, and instead of being afraid, it licked its lips as it faced the oncoming thunder.
The pill then directly met the tribulation lightning head-on.
"Boom!" "Boom!"
The explosive sounds echoed through the sky above the Extreme North, and tens of thousands of ice-element soul beasts knelt, trembling in fear of this natural disaster.
"Lord Ice God, your pill won't be able to withstand this kind of tribulation lightning, right?"
The Snow Emperor asked nervously, not having high hopes.
"Don't worry. This Thunder Tribulation Pill was specifically created to devour lightning. Although this tribulation lightning is terrifying, it's part of its fate."
Ning Bei reassured the Snow Emperor, but his hands tightened slightly. Even he wasn't certain whether the pill would survive.
As everyone quietly worried, the first bolt of lightning slowly dissipated, revealing the Thunder Tribulation Pill, which now resembled a small potato with wings. It was happily looking at the sky.
"Burp!"
The lightning in the clouds seemed to have been provoked, growing even more frantic.
Another bolt of lightning struck down.
The Thunder Tribulation Pill showed no change and immediately charged toward the lightning.
This scene repeated nine times, with the once mighty thunderclouds finally dissipating as the last bolt of lightning struck.
"I can't believe it... it really ate all of it."
Tianmeng, shaking with excitement, looked completely shocked.
The Ice Emperor shot Ning Bei a resentful glance.
"If I'd known, I wouldn't have sacrificed myself. I should have just asked you for a Thunder Tribulation Pill!"
Ning Bei rolled his eyes. "If you hadn't sacrificed yourself to me, we wouldn't have any relationship, so why should I give you a Thunder Tribulation Pill?"
"Should I also arrange for you to stay on the ninth floor of the Dan Tower?"
"That would be great!"
The thought of a life without facing tribulations, where one could just gain cultivation, filled the Ice Emperor with delight—though it could only be a dream.
Ning Bei didn't bother with the little girl's daydreams and waved at the Thunder Tribulation Pill, which had just finished its meal.
Having absorbed nine bolts of lightning, the Thunder Tribulation Pill had gained some weight, now nearly 20 cm in diameter.
At Ning Bei's summons, it flew over happily and landed on his shoulder, rubbing its face against his.
"Little one, are you full now?"
Hearing Ning Bei's question, the pill nodded with a content expression.
"Don't worry, there will be plenty for you to eat in the future."
Now that Ning Bei understood the terrifying power of the Thunder Tribulation Pill, he no longer needed to go to remote places to make pills in the future.

Chapter 162: Soul King Little Kitty
With the third trial completed and the Thunder Tribulation Pill successfully made, Ning Bei was satisfied as he began his return journey.
While riding in the carriage on the way back, Ning Bei suddenly had a thought. What would happen if he used a Shapeshifting Pill on the Thunder Tribulation Pill?
Excited by the idea, he took out a Shapeshifting Pill he had prepared earlier and placed it in front of the small Thunder Tribulation Pill.
The Thunder Tribulation Pill looked at the pill for a moment before it tilted its head, looking at Ning Bei with confusion, as if asking, "Are you sure I can eat this?"
Ning Bei nodded confidently, signaling that it could try.
Without hesitation, the Thunder Tribulation Pill opened its mouth and swallowed the Shapeshifting Pill.
Soon, the carriage was filled with the misty aura from the Thunder Tribulation Pill, almost like a sauna room.
One minute later, the Thunder Tribulation Pill's round body shrank and transformed into a small girl resembling a mini version of the Ice Snow Woman.
But her face was still round, making her extremely cute.
"Daddy?"
"Huh?"
Ning Bei raised an eyebrow at the little one's address but didn't argue, smiling as he looked at her.
"How about calling you Lei Yuanyuan?"
"Lei Yuanyuan, Lei Yuanyuan!"
The little one kept calling her new name with excitement, happily clapping her chubby little hands.
After playing around for a while, Lei Yuanyuan yawned. In her newly transformed state, even the pill seemed to make her very sleepy. Ning Bei placed her into the Dan Tower's seventh floor, where Da Ming, Ah Bao , and Er Ming were waiting.
"Da Ming, your tribulation will depend on this little one from now on. Take good care of her!"
Da Ming, who had been staring blankly, suddenly brightened up, as if he had understood something.
"Ning Bei, do you mean..."
"Exactly what you're thinking. This little one is the Nine-grade Thunder Tribulation Pill."
"Don't worry, leave her to me. I'll make sure she's healthy and plump."
Ning Bei nodded, but inwardly, he couldn't help but scoff. That little tribulation of yours won't even be enough to fill the gaps in this little one's teeth!
After several days of traveling, Ning Bei successfully returned to the sect.
He had just sat down when the door to his room was knocked, and a delighted little voice rang out.
"Ning Bei, I've reached level 40!"
Ning Bei was stunned, looking at the door where Zhu Zhuqing stood, her face full of excitement.
The little cat had only reached level 38 after obtaining her third soul ring a month ago, and now, just a month later, she was at level 40. It was truly impressive! Even with the help of the Awakening Pills and the Soul Bone skill from her right leg, this progress was remarkable.
No wonder Ning Rongrong and Xiao Wu hadn't been seen wandering around lately. They must have been motivated by the little cat's rapid growth, and perhaps even by some of Nami's influence.
"Alright, stabilize your cultivation for now. In a few days, I'll take you hunting for soul beasts."
"Thank you, Ning Bei!"
Ning Bei waved his hand, signaling that it wasn't necessary to thank him.
Since he had decided to train her properly, this effort was well worth it.
After resting for three days, Ning Bei, with Zhu Zhuqing in tow, headed to the Sunset Forest, all while lamenting his busy life.
"Have you decided what kind of soul beast you want for your fourth soul ring?"
The little cat had already thought it through. She smiled at Ning Bei.
"Ning Bei, when I left the Star Luo Empire, my sister had just obtained her fourth soul ring. She got the fourth soul skill, Netherworld Springfall, from a Misty Shadow Leopard."
"If we can't find a Misty Shadow Leopard, the Netherworld Demon Wolf or Ghost Tiger would be good alternatives."
Ning Bei nodded inwardly, impressed by the little cat's preparedness. It would be much easier with a clear target. This time, he didn't intend to waste much time. He entered the forest and immediately released the Dan Tower to attract the soul beasts.
"Your sister is probably going to question her life when she sees you next."
"Hmph, I'll make her regret it!"
When Zhu Zhuqing mentioned her sister, her face grew cold, and the memories of being pushed to the brink of despair many times resurfaced in her mind.
Seeing the angry little cat, Ning Bei smiled without saying much, which made her feel confused.
"Do you think I'll lose to Zhu Zhuyun?"
"Not at all. You've got Rongrong and the others, haven't you?"
"Then why are you laughing?"
Ning Bei's explanation made Zhu Zhuqing even more confused.
"Don't you think that Zhu Zhuyun didn't want to kill you?"
"Huh?"
Zhu Zhuqing widened her eyes, staring at Ning Bei, unable to understand why he would think such a thing when she had nearly died several times.
Seeing the confusion in her eyes, Ning Bei continued explaining.
"That you're still alive is the best explanation, don't you think? Otherwise, I can't figure out how a great soul master like you managed to escape from a group of soul kings and even soul emperors."
"If it was just once, it could be attributed to luck, but you said it happened several times."
Zhu Zhuqing paused. She had never considered this point before.
"Maybe it's because of Star Luo's rules. They won't allow lethal force against minor royal children and concubines, right?"
"That's possible, but after you escaped to the Tiandou region, aren't you no longer under the protection of the rules? So, was the last time just luck too?"
"Well..."
Seeing the skeptical look on the little cat's face, Ning Bei couldn't help but laugh. It made sense, though. She had always hated her sister, yet her sister had never actually wanted to kill her. It was hard for her to change that mindset overnight.
"When you eliminate all the other possibilities, the one remaining, however unlikely, must be the correct answer, right?"
Zhu Zhuqing nodded, a complex expression on her face. She didn't know how to face her sister in the future, as memories of the harmonious times before she was six kept playing in her mind.
As they approached Sunset Town, Ning Bei waved his hand in front of the lost little cat's eyes, bringing her out of her thoughts.
"Alright, stop overthinking. The key is to improve your strength and defeat them. After all..."
"Only the victor has the right to be generous!"
After hearing Ning Bei's advice, Zhu Zhuqing's eyes lit up, and she felt it made sense.
"I understand, Ning Bei. Thank you!"
"Let's go, time to hunt for soul beasts."
The carriage stopped outside of Sunset Town. Ning Bei didn't go to find Donggu Yan, as it had only been a short time since they parted.
Taking Zhu Zhuqing, he headed directly into the depths of the Sunset Forest. Ning Bei looked around and then nodded.
"This is the spot!"
Zhu Zhuqing was a little puzzled as she looked at the barren landscape around them. It didn't seem like the kind of place where her target soul beasts would live.
"Ning Bei, are you sure there are soul beasts here?"
Without explaining much, Ning Bei simply summoned the Dan Tower. A mist filled with the aroma of medicinal herbs gradually spread outwards.
Zhu Zhuqing didn't press for an explanation, trusting that Ning Bei knew best.
Fortunately, the peaceful atmosphere didn't last long. Soon, the sound of rustling came from the nearby forest.
A few seconds later, a lion-shaped soul beast appeared before them, its eyes fixed on the Dan Tower in Ning Bei's hand.

Chapter 163: Ghost Tiger
Seeing the clearly formidable soul beast before her, Zhu Zhuqing tensed up. The Netherworld Spirit Cat appeared behind her, ready for defense.
A few seconds later, a wolf-type soul beast emerged from the other side of the forest, its gaze also fixed on the two of them with intense eagerness.
Slowly, hundreds of soul beasts of different kinds began emerging from the forest, appearing before them.
The little cat's heart sank; what was happening? She only wanted to find a soul beast around ten thousand years old, but how did she end up disturbing a beast nest?
Women subconsciously always long for protection, and with danger looming, Zhu Zhuqing involuntarily moved closer to Ning Bei.
"Ning Ning Bei, we should run. This..."
Ning Bei turned to look at the panicking little cat and gave her a reassuring look.
"I think a soul beast around 9,000 years would be most suitable for your current strength. That Extreme Shadow Leopard would work well."
Ning Bei pointed to a gray leopard-like soul beast in the middle of the group of beasts and asked Zhu Zhuqing for her opinion.
After hearing Ning Bei's words, the little cat immediately pushed aside her fear and looked at him anxiously.
"Ning Bei, I need a ten-thousand-year soul beast."
"But..."
"I understand, but I can't fall too far behind my companions!"
Before Ning Bei could persuade her further, Zhu Zhuqing interrupted.
Ning Bei was taken aback. The little girl had such strong pride, but then he nodded in agreement. At worst, he could give her a life-saving pill if needed, and she had a foreign soul bone as well. There was no need to worry too much.
"Alright, let's go with the Ghost Tiger on the left. It seems to have just broken through to ten thousand years."
Zhu Zhuqing looked in the direction Ning Bei pointed out, and indeed, there was a Ghost Tiger. However, she couldn't determine its age.
But since Ning Bei said so, she chose to trust him.
"Let's go with that one, Ning Bei, but how will we escape from all these soul beasts?"
While Zhu Zhuqing was still worried about how they would escape from the crowd of beasts, Ning Bei summoned Er Ming and Da Ming, then withdrew the Dan Tower.
"Get rid of them!"
"Understood, Big Brother!"
"Got it, Ning Bei!"
Er Ming and Da Ming immediately transformed into their true forms and roared at the group of beasts. With the Dan Tower no longer a target, the soul beasts panicked and fled in all directions.
Ning Bei had already set his sights on the Ghost Tiger, and his figure disappeared next to Zhu Zhuqing. He reappeared directly above the Ghost Tiger's head.
"Light-speed kick!"
Ning Bei's right leg erupted with dazzling light, and he delivered a powerful kick to the Ghost Tiger's waist.
The Ghost Tiger let out a wail and collapsed to the ground.
Ning Bei had controlled his strength; otherwise, the soul ring would have been completely destroyed!
Carrying the severely injured and unconscious Ghost Tiger, he quickly returned to Zhu Zhuqing, who was still standing there, lost in thought.
"Stop daydreaming, come over quickly, this tiger's about to die!"
"Ah! Coming!"
Snapping out of her daze, Zhu Zhuqing cursed herself for being clueless and hurried over to Ning Bei.
She extended her external soul bone and used her claw to stab the Ghost Tiger's eye.
Soon, a dark yellow soul ring slowly rose from the corpse.
Zhu Zhuqing took a deep breath and looked at Ning Bei gratefully.
"Ning Bei, I'm starting now!"
The little cat greeted, then took the life-saving pill that Ning Bei had prepared for her and began absorbing the soul ring.
"Wait a moment!"
"Huh?"
Zhu Zhuqing looked at Ning Bei in confusion, thinking that he was going to remind her again.
Ning Bei didn't speak but tossed her a Soul Nourishing Pill.
"It'll help with the soul impact. Take it before you begin!"
Zhu Zhuqing's eyes lit up as she nodded and quickly swallowed the Soul Nourishing Pill.
She then sat cross-legged next to the Ghost Tiger's corpse, starting to absorb the soul ring.
Ning Bei withdrew Er Ming and Da Ming into the Dan Tower and began to keep an eye on their surroundings.
As soon as the soul ring was placed on her body, Zhu Zhuqing felt an overwhelming pressure. Her whole body tensed up.
Seeing the pain on the little cat's face, Ning Bei felt a cold sweat for her. Even with all the pills available, if Zhu Zhuqing failed to absorb the soul ring, she wouldn't be in mortal danger, but it would definitely cause irreversible damage to her martial soul.
Zhu Zhuqing's delicate face was no longer as soft as before; her features twisted in pain, and she was groaning softly, clearly enduring immense agony.
After several minutes, Zhu Zhuqing's exposed skin began to ooze a large amount of blood, her silver teeth clenching tightly, making a "crackling" sound.
Seeing this, Ning Bei's expression tightened. He moved closer to her, ready to interrupt her soul ring absorption at any moment.
This scene lasted for several hours, and fortunately, things didn't worsen. The little cat's expression slowly began to relax.
Ning Bei finally let out a sigh of relief, his gaze toward Zhu Zhuqing full of complexity.
"She really is a strong woman."
Two more hours passed, and Zhu Zhuqing finally awoke from her meditation. Her eyes were filled with excitement and a hint of relief.
"Thank you, Ning Bei. If it weren't for your Soul Nourishing Pill, I don't think I could have held on!"
Ning Bei smiled and shook his head, praising her.
"I only provided a bit of help. The most important thing was your own perseverance!"
Zhu Zhuqing looked at Ning Bei gratefully, wanting to say something more, but he interrupted her.
"Alright, no need for formalities. How's the soul skill? Does it work?"
The little cat felt her own soul power for a moment, then looked at Ning Bei with joy.
"Ning Bei, I'm level 43 now. My fourth soul skill is Netherworld Shadow Clone, which allows me to create three physical clones for a period of time. They can use my own soul skills."
Ning Bei nodded. It seemed that according to the original plan, the little cat's fourth soul skill was indeed this one, but the soul ring's age had been increased to the ten-thousand-year level, so the effect would be significantly stronger.
"Not bad, with that skill, you'll be able to face your sister head-on. You still have less than two years to prepare, so keep working hard!"
"Yes, Ning Bei!"
Zhu Zhuqing's mood had improved significantly. After that huge mental burden was lifted, she became much more lively.
She was no longer the aloof person she had been before.
"Ning Bei, should we return to the sect now?"
Ning Bei chuckled and pinched his nose, shaking his head.
"I think it's better if we find somewhere in the town to take a bath first!"
"Huh?"
Zhu Zhuqing was stunned by Ning Bei's actions. She looked down at her body and suddenly cried out in shock!
Her skin, exposed outside her clothes, was covered in dried blood, and now it was starting to give off a foul smell.
The little cat's face turned bright red, and she shyly glanced at the man in front of her.
"Ning Bei, let's hurry up and leave!"
"Not going back to the sect? I thought cats liked this smell?"
Hearing Ning Bei's teasing, Zhu Zhuqing stomped her foot angrily and then ignored him, running ahead toward the forest's edge.
"You're the one who likes this stinky smell!"

Chapter 164: Sect Soul Fighting
While the little cat was cleaning herself, Ning Bei went to the small courtyard and greeted Dugu Yan.
If she knew that he had come to Sunset Town and didn't visit her, she'd probably force him to practice his self-created soul skills again.
"Huh! Why are you here again so soon? Did you find another pet that can do backflips and is shy?"
Ning Bei looked at the woman's disgusted gaze, and he couldn't help but roll his eyes.
The words of the ancient sages were truly right: "Only women and petty men are difficult to raise; close, they are impolite; far, they resent you."
"What are you talking about? I came here to help those kids find soul rings. I passed by and couldn't not visit you. Wouldn't you have made a fuss if you knew?"
"Tch, making it sound like I'm unreasonable!"
Ning Bei secretly scoffed in his heart, wondering if she really thought he was unreasonable. But that was a thought for himself, not something he would say out loud.
Though Dugu Yan had a look of disdain on her face, she was actually very happy, and she welcomed Ning Bei into the small courtyard.
Dugu Bo, who was basking in the sun inside, saw Ning Bei enter and gave him a stern look.
"You brat, aren't you pushing it? How many times do you plan to come in a week? My butt hasn't even warmed up and now I have to make space for you two?"
Hearing her grandfather's complaint, Dugu Yan stomped her foot angrily.
"Stinky grandpa, if you keep talking nonsense, see if I won't ignore you!"
Hearing his granddaughter's complaint, Dugu Bo immediately wore an innocent expression.
"I was just making fun of this kid, why are you mad?"
"That doesn't matter! Didn't A Bei bring you good things every time he comes? How can you say something like that?"
Thinking that the focus was on Ning Bei, Dugu Bo was taken aback for a moment. He shook his head, thinking, "A girl grows up and her elbows turn outward; she's clearly favoring the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School now."
With a look of dissatisfaction, Dugu Bo shot Ning Bei a glare.
Ning Bei smiled awkwardly and quickly changed the subject.
"Grandpa Du, has the Dragon Heart Grass worked for you?"
When Dugu Bo heard this, he brightened up and stroked his beard proudly.
"Well, it seems like you've done something right. My martial soul has evolved into the Phosphor Dragon King."
"Oh? Then I congratulate Grandpa Du for making progress."
"Mm!"
Dugu Bo had heard from his granddaughter that Ning Bei had become a Title Douluo, and seeing that he still respected the old man as he did before made Dugu Bo nod in satisfaction.
After spending some time with Dugu Yan, Ning Bei decided it was time to leave. He was eager to study the mysteries of upgrading the Thunder Tribulation Pill!
After bidding the grandfather and granddaughter farewell, he thought that Zhu Zhuqing must have finished cleaning up by now, so he headed back to the hotel.
"Ning Bei, let's go back!"
"Mm."
On the way back, Zhu Zhuqing occasionally looked out the window at the scenery, something she had never done before.
It seemed that the increase in her strength had really given her hope for life and the chance to enjoy the journey ahead.
Back at the sect, the bustling training arena caught their attention.
Making their way through the crowd, they noticed four figures dueling on the soul fighting stage.
On one side were Ning Rongrong and Long Nianbing, and on the other side were Xiao Wu and Nami.
Ever since Ning Bei included Nami in the team for the Soul Master competition, they had also started training together.
At this moment, after Xiao Wu kicked Long Nianbing away, she anxiously looked at Nami.
"Nami, catch the bubble, you can't miss it!"
Nami blushed and apologetically looked at Xiao Wu.
"Sorry, Xiao Wu, his moves are too fast."
Xiao Wu stomped her foot in frustration but didn't speak further. She glared at Long Nianbing, causing him to stiffen.
"Tch, watch Xiao Wu's moves!"
With that, Xiao Wu's third soul ring flared, and she instantly disappeared from her position.
Long Nianbing cursed under his breath and immediately looked behind him, but Xiao Wu had already moved in front of him.
"I knew you'd look behind, now watch Xiao Wu's Eight-Dan Throw."
With that, Xiao Wu wrapped her legs around the disoriented Long Nianbing and threw him into the air.
"Nami, quickly catch the bubble! This time, you can do it!"
Nami, seeing the opportunity, excitedly nodded.
"Watch me, Xiao Wu! First soul skill, Violet Wave Prison!"
A water bubble several meters in diameter was released from the Tide Summoner's staff and shot toward the stage.
Xiao Wu could almost imagine Long Nianbing gulping down water in the bubble, her face filled with excitement.
However, the direction of the soul skill caught her off guard. The water bubble missed Long Nianbing, who was suspended in midair, and instead brushed past him, heading straight toward Xiao Wu.
"I did it!"
Unprepared, Xiao Wu could only let out a quick exclamation before being trapped inside the bubble. She struggled fiercely, drinking several mouthfuls of water!
The bewildered Long Nianbing, having landed, looked at the water bubble and wondered, "I didn't even move, and yet the enemy solved themselves?"
"Hahaha!"
Ning Rongrong, behind Long Nianbing, saw Xiao Wu rolling her eyes in the bubble and heard the "gurgling" sound of her drinking water. She couldn't help but burst into laughter, nearly falling off the stage from laughing too hard.
"Ah, Xiao Wu, I'm sorry!"
Nami, realizing she had caused a mix-up, quickly released the water bubble's control.
With her hands clasped in front of her chest, she looked apologetically at Xiao Wu.
Xiao Wu lay on the ground, suddenly spitting out a stream of water, transforming into a human fountain.
"Nami, you did this!"
Looking at Xiao Wu's thumbs-up, Nami chuckled awkwardly and nervously pinched her skirt.
"Sorry, Xiao Wu, I'll practice my accuracy next time!"
"You better practice in an open space, or every time I'll have to drink your water. How can I handle that?"
"And you, stop laughing! Nami will be your teammate now!"
Xiao Wu scolded Nami for a while, then turned her fierce gaze on the laughing Ning Rongrong lying on the ground.
"Hahaha, who told you to show off, saying Nami could beat me and Nian Bing? Besides, I'm just a small support, I'll always be behind Nami. She's not crazy enough to throw bubbles behind her!"
Ning Rongrong's words made Nami even more embarrassed. She decided that she would seriously practice her soul skill use.
"I'll make you laugh, I'll make you laugh!"
"Ah! I'm sorry, I won't laugh anymore, please forgive me!"
Flustered and angry, Xiao Wu immediately used her "Tickling Technique" on Ning Rongrong, making her feel as if she was about to die from laughter.
"Poof!"
The little cat beside them couldn't help but laugh, seeing how abstractly Nami's soul skill had been released.
Ning Bei helplessly shook his head. He had only remembered to remind his little disciple to focus on improving her soul power, but her combat skills were really hard to watch. She couldn't possibly become an undercover agent in the competition, could she?
"It seems I need to find an opportunity for her to practice the accuracy of her soul skill, or she'll embarrass herself!"
"Do you need my help, Ning Bei?"
Upon hearing Ning Bei's quiet murmuring, the little cat immediately offered to help.
Ning Bei's eyes lit up; this was indeed a good idea. The little cat was agile, so if Nami could hit her with the water bubble, it would be a piece of cake against other opponents.
"Then I'll leave it to you. But don't delay your cultivation progress, just do your best!"
"Don't worry, Ning Bei!"
The little cat was happy to help Ning Bei and Nami, feeling like she was finally being of use.

Chapter 165: Tang Hao's Past
"Nami, do you understand your problem now?"
Ning Bei walked up to the front of the crowd with Zhu Zhuqing and looked at his little disciple, who was hanging her head in self-reproach.
Nami's eyes lit up when she saw her master, but soon her expression dimmed again as she nodded at him.
"I know, Master. My soul skill usage is too poor."
"Then you should practice your soul skills with your Uncle Zhuqing from now on. She will help you."
"Yes, Master! And thank you, Uncle Zhuqing!"
Nami's face brightened up again. She had thought her master had come to scold her!
Zhu Zhuqing smiled and waved her hand, signaling that it was no trouble. She liked this girl who was always full of effort.
Ning Rongrong and Xiao Wu, who had seen Ning Bei and his little friend arrive, stopped their playful bickering and quickly walked over to join them.
"Ning Bei, Zhuqing, you're back!"
"Zhuqing, did you get your fourth soul ring?"
Zhu Zhuqing looked at her two friends and nodded gently.
"I successfully obtained the soul ring. My soul power has also reached level 43."
"Wow, that's too fast! I haven't even increased my soul power by one level yet!"
Hearing about the little cat's progress, Ning Rongrong showed an envious expression, making Ning Bei shake his head in response.
"You're envious now? You should be working harder on your cultivation!"
It seemed like Ning Rongrong could tell from Ning Bei's expression what he was thinking, and she playfully stuck out her tongue at him.
For the next period of time, Zhu Zhuqing and Nami deliberately reduced their training time.
They spent the extra time in the small woods, practicing a game of cat dodgeball.
Nami desperately cast water bubbles at the moving little cat, while Zhu Zhuqing dodged them.
Once their soul power had been sufficiently depleted, they headed to the training room Ning Bei had prepared to refine their soul power and improve their cultivation, which had Ning Bei's sun domain present.
After some time training, Nami's skill at releasing her soul skills improved significantly.
She even started to get the hang of releasing multiple water bubbles to trap the little cat's movements, and she could attack without the cat being able to escape.
Zhu Zhuqing, who had initially been handling it easily, started to become more cautious. Occasionally, she would even be caught by a few water bubbles, turning into a drenched cat!
This made her marvel at Nami's talent. It was truly impressive how she had become so proficient with her soul skill in such a short amount of time.
During this time, the whole team also organized one-on-one and multi-on-multi soul battles, continuously improving their combat and cooperation abilities.
Meanwhile, Blue Tyrant Academy was officially renamed Shrek Academy.
At the academy's back mountain, a young man with an ordinary appearance had just finished his training and stepped out, his face becoming even darker.
It was Tang Hao, the King of Tang, who had arrived in Tiandou City with the rest of the academy.
"Damn it, absorbing six soul rings and six useless soul bones has had too much of an impact on me. Every time I train, not only do I not gain soul power, but I risk losing a level!"
Tang San clenched his fists, feeling more hatred toward the people who had plotted against him. He didn't even know how long it would take to stabilize his current cultivation. What grudge did he have with them?
As Tang Hao sighed, he heard footsteps behind him. It was his teacher, Yu Xiaogang.
"It's still not working, right?"
Tang San turned around and saw his teacher. He nodded solemnly, his face filled with melancholy.
"Eh, don't worry too much about your soul power. You've traveled the distance of five to six years in just one day. This is the inevitable consequence. Just focus on practicing soul skills for now!"
"Yes, teacher!"
Seeing that his disciple had accepted his advice, Yu Xiaogang nodded in satisfaction. But seeing the hesitant expression on Tang San's face, he became slightly puzzled.
"Is there something you want to ask me? Just ask directly!"
Tang San looked at Yu Xiaogang and said, "This question has been bothering me for a long time, teacher. You said my father is the Haotian Douluo?"
Yu Xiaogang was slightly startled. He had almost forgotten about revealing Tang San's father's identity to Da Ming earlier, who had been unconscious for several months.
After thinking for a moment, Yu Xiaogang looked at Tang San seriously.
"Little San, there must be a reason why your father doesn't want you to know his true identity. You just need to know that you are the son of Haotian Douluo, Tang Hao!"
Hearing this evasive explanation, Tang San's face showed a hint of displeasure.
"But teacher, I really want to know more about my father. Why, even though he is a Title Douluo, did he hide with me in a small village? And there were people who... He didn't step in to stop them!"
Tang San voiced the frustration he had kept inside, lowering his head, his expression darkening.
Yu Xiaogang sighed softly. His disciple now had a mental block, and if he kept avoiding the issue, it would surely affect his cultivation and mindset.
"Tang Hao was a once-in-a-century genius of the Haotian Clan. He became the youngest Title Douluo in the continent at only 44 years old."
"Haotian Clan? Isn't that one of the top three sects?"
Hearing Tang San's question, Yu Xiaogang paused before continuing.
"Yes, the Haotian Clan, one of the top three sects."
"Since my father has such a strong background, why would he..."
Suddenly, something crossed Tang San's mind. He stopped mid-sentence. An enemy so powerful that even the Haotian Clan dared not intervene must be even more terrifying.
"It seems you've figured it out. I'm not too familiar with your father either. I only briefly met him after you came to the academy to ask me to be your teacher."
"I only know that after Tang Hao became a Title Douluo, he killed the former pope of the Spirit Hall. Shortly afterward, the Haotian Clan announced the sealing of their mountain, and your father disappeared. That was twelve years ago."
"Twelve years ago? That was when I was born?"
Tang San thought about it for a moment and concluded that his father must have been hiding from the pursuit of the Spirit Hall. His heart surged with anger.
"Spirit Hall, you have a death wish!"
Seeing that Tang San had figured out who his enemy was, Yu Xiaogang decided not to continue.
"Alright, now that you understand the situation, don't dwell on problems that you shouldn't worry about right now. Focus on your cultivation and reach the Title Douluo level, so you can help your father."
"Yes, teacher! But I have one more question."
"Oh? What's the question?"
Yu Xiaogang thought his disciple was about to ask more about Tang Hao's past. His face showed a slight embarrassment, as he didn't know much either.
But Tang San, who currently couldn't do anything to shake the Spirit Hall, didn't continue asking.
"Teacher, every time I finish my training, not only is there a risk of losing levels, but I also feel pain in my body. What could this be?"
"Hmm? Why didn't you tell me this sooner?"
Tang San scratched his head awkwardly. Could he say it was because he was in a bad mood before, thinking that his teacher didn't matter much?
Fortunately, Yu Xiaogang didn't dwell on it, sparing Tang Hao further embarrassment.
"Eh, the thing I'm most worried about has happened."
