Chapter 68 - Groundhog hour (6)

After hearing out the second message left behind by Holborn, I made some changes to my plans.

If I wanted to make a system I would need a divine energy generator which means that I would have to use the one that I have or make a deal with that contract demon to make another one. Knowing that there won't be any further elimination exams till the end of the year, I don't require the divine energy for now. So I can freely use it for the system being assured that it won't affect my plans.

I know that some would ask me, Ray why didn't you ask Ryuk to provide his divine energy to you?

The reason I require a dead god's soul instead of the divine energy of a god that is still alive is because each of them have their own authorities imbued within their divine energy. However, when a god dies their authority fades away alongside them, not allowing anyone else to make use of it.

And second of all, Ryuk is not a God. He is Death, the Ryuk I saw was his manifestation and even that can stand on equal grounds with a fourth dimensional. Death is formless, it is a concept and without it life is meaningless. Ryuk is a natural born fifth dimensional being, a reality bender if you will. His divine energy is too strong for me to handle, currently that is... Soon enough I will reach that level, soon enough.

I practiced telekinesis by myself inside my room until I could perfectly control the power output. Turns out it's not much different than the first time I learnt to control the Speed Force.

I just had to sit down and calm my mind, a clear mind without any form of thought is all you need to imagine a clear picture of your "will". Once you grab hold of that will, concentrate on something else and try to force that will to do your bidding.

That "will" will gradually take shape based on your desires and do whatever you want it to. In it's first stages of formation it will colourize and take shape, it's attributes will then be based on your mind.

After that, you will reach C Rank where you will need to figure out your attributes to reach a higher realm.

'I can sense that I have reached D+ rank but five hours is too long... I need slow down and build a foundation now. I need to do some mental training, damn it! Do I really need the help of other people to get past this barrier?! I am the creator of this world! Why would I need the help of a system to get past this barrier?!' I screamed inside my mind.

Holborn was right about me... I am too stubborn, and maybe that stubborness is the reason for my growth.

Crackle

I turned on the perception deceptor and quickly ran to the training grounds phasing through every obstacles in my path, making my way to the empty training grounds.

I knew what I had to do... The only way to train my mind without anyone else's help was the training grounds.

By rigorously training my Speed Force abilities without thinking about my stamina will force my body and mind to push through their limits to try and catch up with me.

Alfred warned me not to use this method to train if I don't want to get the Strength Force, this method had a lot of risks and could possibly kill the person using it. However, in my current situation where I am trapped in a time loop, it doesn't matter if I die. I will keep reviving again and again... No one decides my limit!

I closed my eyes and tried to remember the feeling. I felt the lightning running through my veins, pumping my heart, energizing my cells and every part of my body. I felt every strand of it touching the molecules of my cells, brushing past them with a crackling sound. I guided it out of my body slowly pulling it out of a single part.

I raised my right hand and pointed my finger at a steel dummy and let the lightning burst out of it, hitting the dummy straight in the head.

Crackle Boom

The impact of the lightning bolt was strong enough to fry through the head of the dummy making a hole in it's head and blowing up the walls.

Fortunately the walls were made of an extraterrestrial alloy metal that couldn't easily be broken, after all I didn't wanna cause a ruckus. However all it did was leave a burn mark, still that fire power wasn't something that could be expected from a normal speedster.

That one lightning bolt was for an experiment of my power... The real training was yet to start.

In the same second, I fired multiple times at the same place. I hadn't changed my target, I just focused my attention on a better one. The bolts of lightning I fired were all headed in the same direction, through the head of the dummy... Directly at the burn mark.

I could feel me stamina running out but it didn't matter... Nothing else matters... Only my goal... Only that one thing is important...

Crack

My body was drenched in sweat, the sweat blurred my vision but I didn't bother to remove it...

Crack

As time went on my condition only started to worsen but I didn't care about my health, I just pushed on and on till I no longer could. The sheer determination to do something is the only thing you need in these situations, and fun fact... that's all I had.

The hunters did this kind of training from their childhood, trained themselves in worse situations, they even outclassed old monks who were known as superhumans, so why couldn't I? What was the difference between us?

That was the mentality that I unknowingly imprinted in my mind.
