Chapter 12 - GENESIS OF FINDING HIS FATHER

Kindhearted, Kevin got touched by Suxes' sadness. He never wished to reveal his true identity to anyone but at this moment he had no choice except to trust Suxes with part of his story.

Kevin: "My mother is in the sea waiting for me to return.

Suxes: "What is your mama doing in the sea? Is she a pirate or something?"

Kevin: "The sea is our world."

Suxes: "Anyway, if that's your divine inspiration, I have no problem with it. But make sure you don't tell it to anyone... or else, you'll end up in a psychiatric hospital."

Kevin: "What's a psychiatric hospital?"

Suxes: "Do you smoke weed?! Uh.... anyway, never mind."

Kevin: "And what is weed?"

Suxes, stared at Kevin Moore like; "What the hell is wrong with this guy to play like this!?" At the back of his mind. A smile quirked corners of his mouth as he shook his head speechlessly.

"This object right here, is all my mother gave me that my father left behind when he left," Kevin tried hard to clarify and convince Suxes, but all in vein.

Suxes stayed silent and led the way until they reached an area with very many types of abandoned machinery including a heap of abandoned computers.

"This is the scrapyard I told you about where worn-out objects are dumped. Don't tell me you've never seen this before", Suxes argued.

"So, now that we're at the scrapyard, why dont you dump your imaginary father's computer?" Still in doubt about Kevin's mental health, Suxes spoke.

Of course, when Kevin saw very many objects similar to his, dumped useless everywhere on the ground, his moral for retaining the one his mother gave to him faded. Hesitantly, he dumped it there and then into the ones at the yard. He began to accept and believe Suxes as a friend in his heart.

"It's only this hard disk that is important", Suxes told Kevin.

"What's that?" Kevin asked eagerly.

"It's a hard disk. If it still works, maybe we can get some money out of it for a good lunch box tomorrow!"

"Money! What's money?" As a neanderthal, Kevin still had no idea what money was!

In his talkative ways, Suxes asked Kevin if he has ever had a girlfriend in his life and Kevin said no.

"But I met a girl called Pinky three moons and three suns ago, I feel she is my girlfriend," he replied.

"Alright. Now," Suxes advised, "make sure when you meet Pinky again you have money because you will need money to buy her flowers, take her on a dinner date, buy a few gifts and maybe a wedding ring when that time comes. It's money that makes the world go round."

Kevin: "Do you have money?"

Suxes: "Are you crazy? Seeing me dressed in rugs, eating in garbage and no roof over my head! I've confirmed something wrong with you."

Suxes, a dirty homeless had no where to check the life of a hard disk. As an intelligent city born, from hundreds of dumped written off computers in a scrap yard, he searched for computers which were compatible with the hard disk and landed on a better one.

Not far from the scrapyard was an abandoned motor home. Here Suxes brought Kevin and opened the door for him to get inside,

"Welcome to my humble place. It's better off in this rusted motor than sleeping outside in the cold streets."

Kevin's eyes were never settled everywhere he reached. While inside the motor home it was a different experience. On the side wall, there hunged a worn-out jacket which Suxes picked and gave to him to protect himself from cold weather that late night.

However, cold weather was not at all a problem to the cold blooded sea creature like Kevin Moore. But he recieved the jacket and wore it comfortably to imitate humans behaviors.

Carefully, Suxes connected the computer onto a power supply and eventually the computer activated. Optimistically, Suxes fixed the hard disk into the computer. A warm smile grew up on his face when the hard disk displayed files.

"Bingo!" Excitedly he exclaimed.

Barbarous Kevin confoundedly fixed his gaze at Suxes. Hardly did he understand why Suxes was so joyful.

Well fitted in a worn-out jacket, Kevin stands behind Suxes and begins to watch everything he is doing on the computer. But Kevin doesn't have any computer knowledge.

"Look, as soon as the day gets in, there's this place I know which will pay us some good money", Suxes mumbles with too much excitement.

"Old is gold... old will always be gold....! See, this is a perfect timing. A terabyte of ages and still in a perfect condition, wonderful!" In sheer blissful words, Suxes celebrates as he sings a brief song.

Meanwhile, with excitement, Suxes goes further to open files on the hard disk mindlessly, to view the type of content which was stored on it many years ago. In one of the folders as he opens, are pictures of different deep-water species.

"It seems the owner was a diver", Thoughtfully, Suxes says depending on the pictures.

With a happy smile, he enjoys the beautiful photos as he scrolls and zooms one after the other. Attentively, Kevin is also watching from behind him with a curious face.

"That's my home," Cheerfully, kevin double tapped Suxes' shoulder.

With an undermining gaze, Suxes looked back over his shoulder at Kevin. He depicted him a reclined attitude and continued to view photos of fish on a computer screen.

Suxes, relaxedly, removed food particles stuck in between his teeth with a toothpick. From the photos folder he went further to open a video folder. Species like a swimming octopus, sharks and different types of fish playing under water caught his eyes.

As Suxes enjoyed the fish lifestyle on video, behind him excitedly watched Kevin, who seemed too happy to looked at his world. He wore an amazed expression on his face by the kind of art humans had.

"How is it possible?! Humans are very talented artists!" He couldn't believe how his vast world could turn out to be inside a small object like a computer.

"It's Magical _ call it technology hahaha.." taking Kevin's expressions for a joke, Suxes gave an bossy laughter.

"Technology!" The word was beyond Kevin's understanding.

After satisfying his eyes with fish videos for a little while, Suxes took deep breath and said, "wow! Indeed water world is amazingly beautiful... how I wish I was a diver."

It was high time for him to eject the hard disk. One folder after the other, he closed them. Unwittingly, as he'd just done closing the folders, a picture which was not in any folder displayed on the screen. In the picture was a huge deep water rock.

NB: Whenever the water levels raised, the rock kept under the water and whenever the levels lowered the rock protruded out and made a huge rocky island.

When Suxes took a clear observation, near the huge rock in a distance was a human face which appeared to have been snapped accidentally.

"Wait!"

Intrigued, Suxes zoomed through to see clearly the human face in the picture. "Oh, no...! This is impossible!" In big shock, Suxes exclaimed. He couldn't believe his eyes.

The human in the picture was a young lady with a fish tail which didn't leave Suxes the same way. It disturbed his mind.

With widely open frightened eyes towards the camera, the mermaid has fear in her eyes as if she was trying to escape, running away from something strange. She accidentally landed into a stranger, the diver, with in her territory and she was trying to escape and hide from an invasion.

"A mermaid! I can't believe these mystery creatures truly exist!" Suxes said to himself, looking so shocked at the picture on the computer screen.

"Oh, yes!" Kevin intervened proudly, "that's my mother right there during her young age."

Suxes, still puzzled about Kevin's statement of calling the mermaid on the screen his mother, it didn't stop Kevin from cherishing her even more, talking of how beautiful she was when she was still Pinky's age.

"There are only two beautiful ladies alive that I know; Meg and Pinky," blissfully he said.

"Unbelievable!" Suxes grew goosebumps on his skin.

On a racing heart, slowly he turned a curious eye at Kevin from down his barefoot to the head on his beard, wondering as to who he really was. Flashed backs on how Kevin had been phrasing his statements from the moment they met hit Suxes' head.

After adding every plot in his memory, "it's true you're not a human being," in denial Suxes accepted.

In a confused state, Suxes slowly turned his face from Kevin back to the computer. All the excitement and the laughter including singing joyful song for a terabyte hard disk jackpot were unbelievably out of the window.

Finally, Kevin's innocence was proved. He who laughs best laughs last; it was now Kevin Moore's turn to laugh and sing joyful songs his mother taught him in the water world, happily and excitedly. The bet coin had flipped differently from what Suxes thought.

At least, the one human Kevin found a friend in was not going to treat him like he's mad.

Driven by the new information he had known about Kevin, Suxes opened a folder named 'heros' which he didn't open at first. Inside this folder were pictures of two happy men sharing blissful moments on a big yatch and in different hangouts with a drink in hand each.

As soon as the pictures displayed on the computer screen, Kevin moved fast, closest and touched the screen.

"Father!" He exclaimed.
