Chapter 14 - VAMPIRES ARRIVE TO CAPRICON

"And then the remains of the gone soul?"

But before Kevin Moore continued to explain to Suxes' doubtful questions, suddenly the ground on which they stood started trembling notoriously like an earthquake, which eventually inconvenienced their talk and both set wary eyes at eachother, then down at the trembling ground. But Suxes felt more shocked, panicking _ his heart race in and he began to yell.

"Whoa Whoa Whoa...!"

After all, he has never experienced such a terrifying hazard happening in Capricon city.

At the same time, somewhere, in an ancient forest of old wood which was yet to be cleared to extend the city, a dark and misty evening blankets and the air crackles with an otherworldly energy. Suddenly the shimmering portal opens amidst the twisted trees, pulsating with a deep crimson glow. From this rift, the three women vampires from the land of ice emerge one after the other.

As they land into the clear, the three vampires exhibit a regal presence, their eyes glinting with anger and ambition. Each one carries an aura of ancient power, having travelled across worlds from their from their desolate home, the land of ice. Drowned by the scent of life, with a swift and silent grace, they move to enter the bustling streets that late night.

Suxes, unaware of the impending danger, he continues his calm routine as soon as ground trembling stops.

With chuckles, he says to Kevin Moore:

"My fear for earthquake eventually developed into a phobia."

Kevin, keeping a wary gaze with an instinct of danger that is yet to cover the whole city, he stayed at pause for a moment.

"Hey Kevin! Get back on track. You've not told me what you do with the remains of the deceased in your imaginary water world. You separated yourself from us and said people are heartless; why? Because we bury the remains under the ground! Am curious!"

But then Suxes had just assured him a while ago before an earthquake distracted their conversation that he was ready to take him to where his father was. Kevin sweeps all the suspense under the carpet and resumes a healthy conversation.

After all, nothing brought a wide smile on his cheeks than knowing he was about to meet with his dad, and take him to his mother back home to make her proud _ the main reason he left his world to the human world.

"Where I come from, the body from which life is lost; is taken to the deepest part of waters where it is laid gently, down on the stone of souls _ an ancestral stone that turns it from a physical body to a visible spirit with pulsating light all around it; seen but can't be touched."

Suxes laughed out loud, overlooked Kevin and sighed at the back of his mind:

"This is total madness. He's really good at superstition tales though!"

Suxes, then spoke out loud and laughed afterwards.

"Just like a common superstition that when a black cat crosses your path it is bad luck."

All of a sudden, Suxes set his eyes on the old scrap computer monitor Kevin had placed on the side. He got curious.

"You seem to have a great taste in old model stuff and scrap, right?"

Watching him gaining interest in his object, Kevin asked:

"You mean this?"

"Of course. Can I have a look?"

"Why not? It was my dad's and you're going to bring me to him...."

Kevin Moore added as he forwarded the scrap computer to Suxes to take a look:

"I believe it will make my father recognise and accept me."

"You think so?"

"I feel so. He left it with my mother before I was born."

"Um, tell you what...? Your story is intriguing."

Suxes started turning it all angels with a keen observation. Then all of a sudden discovered it had a hard disk inside. Without blinking, as Suxes forcefully pulled the hard drive out of the scrap computer, Kevin watched.

"What's that?"

Suxes replied carelessly:

"Um, let's say.... the most important part of your object."

Still he believed that kevin was just a young man who had lost his mind, or maybe with a little mental disorder accordingly. As a man who was left with only one years to clock fifty, Suxes knew how to handle stubborn ideas from a twenty-five year old, Kevin. Not to oppose him, but to let him take the stage in his own head, perhaps with hopes that as time goes by, he will know what exactly is disturbing the young man, apart from all the superstition stories the young man had to tell.

And after removing the hard drive, Suxes placed down the monitor and added real quick:

"Come on, let me take you somewhere; you might get lucky!"

After all, Suxes too was only straying in the wealthy streets neighbourhoods of Capricon city: an idler with nothing to do day in day out.

Green about anything in the human world, Kevin couldn't leave his scrap behind. He picked it up and followed behind Suxes.

"Thanks for the food buddy..."

With a happy vibe, Suxes replied all pleasured to have shared:

"What else can I do for a brother if I can't share a simple meal?"

Kevin skipped a bit. His eyes grew wider in a suprised wonder and whispered to himself:

"Brother?! On top of solving my hunger problem and promising to take me to my father, under the dark sky and bright lights he just called me a brother!"

As all this ran into Kevin's head, passionately he felt a warm embrace. He Wore a warm smile, took a relaxing sigh and said to Suxes:

"My mother named me Kevin Moore!" Right after my father Sean Moore."

Looking behind at Kevin, Suxes saw he was still carrying the old scrap computer monitor, coming along with it.

"Damn...! I don't want to call you a mad man but this thing right here makes you look like one."

Feeling bothered, Kevin replied:

"It belongs to my father, I can't separate from it!"

Suxes sighed with exasperation:

"Look, you neither shave your beard, nor do you put shoes on your feet. What choice do you leave then for the people of this beautiful clean city to call you? A mad man of course! Besides, have you heard how you smell...? Like fish..."

Suxes added:

"Look Kevin, you definitely look like you need help from when I first set my eyes on you. But if I am to succeed with helping, you need to make it easy for me too."

Looking confused, Kevin finally dropped down the old scrap of a monitor in discontent.

Suxes smiled:

"Good."

And before they embarked on walking, Suxes looked closely at the hard disk and murmured:

"Really strong and original. If it still works, I know about a shop where we can exchange it for a happy pay so we can get a warm breakfast and get Kevin some nice outfits."

He pocketed the hard drive and continued to lead the way out of the alleyway.

Of course, The wealthy craved for anything that was rear to find. And Capricon being a very wealthy and morden city, to find a three generation item like this hardware drive was a miracle that could pay handsomely to the collectors.

Suxes knew it.

However, as Kevin continued to follow behind Suxes, he never stopped looking back at the computer with grief eyes.

All his eggs were now entrusted in one basket, Suxes' promise.

That very night, on a busy private airport in Capricon city, here happened to take place a very safe landing of a private Jet.

Right next to the plane when stairs unfolded, two executive black cars _ a sedan and SUV parked and waited patiently ready. Barbara's bodyguard, secretary Jamila and Barbara Yen herself walked down the jet stairs respectively. Having stepped on the Capricon city soils for the first time, Babara Yen opened her arms wide with eyes closed and inhaled deep the fresh breeze of the city.

"I feel reborn."

Immediately after, she was ushered to the sedan where she sat and relaxed her head well on the headrest.

Andas soon as her bodyguard and secretary comfortably sat in the SUV behind, both cars accelerated off the airport, joining the smooth tarmac roads of Capricon city that night. After a little while of road running, they branched to the lake harbor which was flocked by mediocre boats.

Here waited a young gentleman named Felix who was watching, ready to honor the arrival of Babara Yen. He prepared himself to deliver a warm welcome. And right opposite where he was standing, the two black cars stopped. Quickly, Felix walked in and pulled the sedan rear door open for Babara Yen to honourably step out.

"And who are you?"

All excited, he answered:

"My name is Felix. I always pick your mom Ms Monica and sail her to the ship."

Of course secretary Jamila was standing aside already. She stepped foward to clarify.

"Yes. He is the young brother to Mr Franklin Baron."

Babara Yen looked over Felix and said:

"Oh, I see..."

As Felix led the way to the speedboat, he glanced at secretary Jamila and delightfully he sighed a complement:

"Wow, Babara Yen is so damn beautiful! My senses are clearly dominated."
