Chapter 15 - The Great Robbery That Wasn't

- Zade Collins:

I walked barefoot through the backdoor of the house, half-naked, shirt sticking to my skin, boxer-briefs the only thing protecting whatever was left of my dignity. The marble floor felt cold under my feet. Every step echoed too loud in the silent hall.

Except… it wasn't silent. Not at all.

Yelling.

Loud yelling.

Dad's voice.

Mom's voice.

And someone else's, Probably Ben.

I frowned, heart still racing from whatever the hell just happened outside with Blake. I tightened my arms around my torso, suddenly hyper-aware of how ridiculous I looked walking around like this.

What the hell was going on now?

I followed the noise, pushing my sweaty and a bit bloody hair back, turning into the grand room. And that's when I saw it:

Mom and Dad. Full meltdown mode.

Dad was on the phone, pacing, face red, barking orders like a general in battle.
