Chapter 16 - Iyad, you are my man

What bothered Kamilia the most was the fact that Iyad didn't show any intention of leaving her room.

His presence made her uneasy, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.

She shifted uncomfortably in her bed, hoping that he would take the hint and leave. But he remained there, staring at her with an intensity that made her skin crawl.

"Iyad," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Please, you have to leave. This is not right."

He didn't respond, just kept looking at her with those piercing eyes. Kamilia felt a shiver run down her spine, and she tried to steady her breathing.

"Iyad," she said again, a little louder this time. "Please, you're scaring me."

He softly whispered to her, "Just go back to sleep." His voice was low and soothing, almost hypnotic.

Kamilia was torn between the desire to push him away and the comfort of his presence.

She closed her eyes and tried to relax, but her mind was racing with questions and doubts.

Kamilia spoke softly, her voice trembling with fatigue and frustration. She tried to keep her eyes open, but her eyelids felt heavy and her mind felt foggy.

"I'm so tired, I need to sleep," she said, her words trailing off into a yawn. "Please go back to your room, Iyad."

She hoped he would take the hint and leave her alone.

Iyad patted Kamilia's hair gently, his eyes were heavy with exhaustion. He didn't seem like he was trying to do something, but rather just wanted to rest beside her.

Kamilia could feel the warmth emanating from his body, and a small part of her wanted to curl up next to him and drift off to sleep.

However, she knew it was not appropriate and tried to push him away gently.

The memory of Iyad's kiss from the night before still lingered in Kamilia's mind, and it made her heart race.

"Shhhhush, Kamilia,  just go to sleep already!" Iyad whispered to her while putting his arms around her .

It was as if he could sense her emotions, and she couldn't help but wonder if he felt the same way.

She tried to calm her racing heart and focus on sleeping, but it was difficult with Iyad so close to her.

**********

Kamilia woke upthe next morning to the sound of loud banging and shouting coming from downstairs.

She rubbed her eyes and sat up in bed, trying to make sense of what was happening. As the noise grew louder.

She hesitated for a moment, wondering if she should go downstairs and see what was going on.

But before she could make up her mind, the door to her room burst open and Jada, the maid, rushed in.

"Miss Kamilia, you need to come downstairs right away," Jada said urgently. "There's trouble."

Kamilia quickly got dressed and followed Jada down the stairs to where Iyad and Savana were arguing.

As she approached the entrance, she saw a woman standing at the door, shouting at the top of her lungs.

As she watched from a distance, Kamilia could see that Savana was angry. She was shouting at the top of her lungs, demanding to know why Kamilia was living in his house.

Kamilia felt a knot form in her stomach as she realized that Savana knew she was here.

Kamilia tried to stay out of sight, hoping that Savana wouldn't notice her. But as luck would have it, Savana turned around and saw her standing there.

Their eyes met, and Kamilia felt a chill run down her spine.

Savana was fuming with jealousy when she saw Kamilia in their house. "Who is she to you and why is she here in your house ?" Savana demanded, her voice tinged with anger.

Iyad tried to calm her down, "She's just someone who works for me. I offered her a place to stay for a while."

But Savana was not convinced. "I heard you took her to your restaurant last night. You're cheating on me, aren't you?"

Iyad was taken aback. "No, I'm not cheating on you. Kamilia is just a person I know . You have no right to spy on me and decide whom I spend my time with."

Savana's jealousy blinded her, and she couldn't think rationally. "I want her out of this house. I don't want to see her here again."

As Savana continued to argue with Iyad, Kamilia could feel her nerves getting the best of her.

She inched further and further back, hoping to make a quick and quiet escape from the room.

When Iyad mentioned that Kamilia was just a person who works for him,  it made her feel even more uneasy.

She didn't want to be the cause of any trouble or drama between Iyad and Savana.

Kamilia couldn't help but wonder what would happen if Savana found out the truth about her relationship with Iyad.

Would she be even more jealous? Would she demand that Kamilia leave the house immediately?

As Savana continued to argue with Iyad, he didn't seem bothered by her finding out about Kamilia staying with them.

He simply stated that Kamilia was working for him and that he had invited her to stay.

Savana, on the other hand, was not convinced. She expressed her frustration at Iyad, telling him how she felt about him cheating and bringing other women into their home.

Iyad tried to reassure her that Kamilia was not like that, but Savana was not willing to listen.

"Iyad, you can't just invite anyone to stay here without consulting me first," Savana said firmly.

As Savana continued to express her disapproval, Iyad's expression remained unchanged.

It was as if he had already made up his mind about Kamilia staying with him.

"I understand your concerns, Savana, but Kamilia is here to help me with work. She's not doing anything wrong," Iyad explained calmly.

Savana sighed, feeling frustrated. "I just don't want anything to happen that will ruin our relationship, Iyad. You know how much I care about you."

Iyad nodded, but he didn't say anything. He knew that Savana was just looking out for him, but he also knew that he couldn't let her dictate his life.

He was a grown man and he could make his own decisions.

Savana looked at Iyad skeptically, but she eventually nodded. "Fine. But you need to be careful, Iyad. I don't want to see other girls next to you, you are my man"
