The sunlight illuminated the milk colored walls, it was almost as if it became alive,
On the check bed was a young lad deep in sleep, his white long eyelashes fluttered like butterfly it was almost as if it could feel the sun's gaze, his white hair scattered around the bed, his red lips in pout in disagreement to the bright light, a groan escaped his lips as his slender fingers came up to his eyes to block the horrid light.
l
This young lad was no one other than our little Lucien
Lucien woke up reluctantly and asked Aria to close the curtain
Aria was their Ai homing system, the one previously mentioned to be traumatized,
She did just that, he sat in daze for a while before getting off the bed and making his way to his restroom, he looked at the massive restroom and sighed softly, it was all fine and good until you have to walk a mile to use the toilet.
After he was through freshening up and staring at himself in the mirror, he went back into his bedroom with a towel around his chest.
He didn't press the button summoning a servent, it would have been okay if he was really an eight years old kid but he was eighteen in mind and thought, he can not be letting some random chambermaid bathe and clothe him.
He had hands for a reason.
He went into his walk in closet to find his outfit for today, unfortunately he got lost and had to use his coreband to locate the style of clothes he wanted to wear today, he got himself a black t-shirt and a white shorts.
He had to use his coreband to locate his way out of the closet, when he did, he changed into his selected outfit and put his hair in a low ponytail.
After he was done looking neat and immaculate as he always does.
He finally picked up the book quill gave him and made his way out of his room, his door opened automatically recognizing the heart signal and other variables as him.
He continued walking down the hall, only to realize how quiet it was, it was then he recalled that caelum and Altair still goes to the school and has not been accepted into the academy yet .
He made his way to the library hoping to brush up on some knowledge and see how it differs from the book quill gave to him.
He walked in to library barely paying attention to how massive it is and went on a relentless search for history books.
He found something in one of the shelves, he saw the emblem of stormblade at the edge of the book and took it by force,
Thereby 'mistakenly' tearing it of.
" Oops" he commented dryly.
He held the book in his arms and sat at the sofa, he looked at the title and cringed again, it was even worse than quill's and corny as well.
'One will, six blades '.
I guess it was to symbolize the emperor and the six dukes.
It wasn't always like this, we weren't always one empire, even before acquiring quill's book I knew that.
You can easily find it in books containing information about ancient earth. About ten centuries ago, the world—my world—went through a change. Some certain people went through a biological breakthrough, called the *Awakening*, developing what we call *Cores* in their bodies.
These cores enhanced vitality and life, saving people with deadly diseases almost immediately. Not exactly a cure, but enough that they lived longer lives.
It caused havoc.
The poor and below average were never safe. Some desperate parents sold their kids with power cores to the rich and noble for money, status, or simply protection.
All hell broke loose.
Then another discovery was made. Not only were humans the ones to develop, so did the animals, plants—even nature itself evolved. Which was nice, until it wasn't.
Mutated animals and plants (*Mutants*) ran rampant, killing haphazardly.
It was then that some brave heroes ( not my words) stepped up
Auremax Thorneveil,
Quirel Raventhorn,
Velistra Maevryn,
Valerius Stormblade,
Ignatius Draveryn,
Caelric Duskveil,
Darian Blackthorn.
These seven men stepped up, developed their abilities and formed a party and hunted the mutants.
It was due to them that the public knew that once one kills a mutant, one can use it core to enhance theirs.
They called it mutant core.....
So original *eyeroll*
But to prevent casualties, they ranked the lethality of the mutants and also that of the awakeners, to build efficient guilds while this was going on...
New lifeforms arrived on ancient earth called the skarvalocs, of course humans being as insecure and egoistical as ever felt threatened not just by their mere existence but also by their intensive knowledge and extremely high tech gadgets .
This was enough to drive everyone into a frenzy, it was the seven heroes *eye twitch*
That took charge and made a deal with this other life form.
The skarvalocs needed a place to stay due to the destruction of their planet, so they said.
So in exchange for shelter, their intensive knowledge and tech would be given.
*Yeah, make a deal with extra celestial beings you haven't met or known anything before now, that's wise*
Unexpectedly, the skarvalocs were surprisingly peaceful beings, they lived in the midst of humans in harmony, educating, cooperating and even reproducing with some of them.
*Love has no bounds I guess, even extra celestial life forms aren't let off*
About three centuries past, the past heroes heirs had already taken over.
Suddenly the skarvalocs started acting queerly, it started with a life during an awakeners competition, then another until it became a full killing spree.
The skarvalocs had revolted.
*Let's Give Aliens a House, What Could Go Wrong?*
*Insert Eyeroll Here*
The history books didn't specify what happened, it only spoke about the revoltion and how the skarvalocs wanted our power cores for the same reason we want mutant cores.
*Karma is a bitch isn't it, so we became their mutant animals*
The war lasted a century before the skarvalocs were forced to retreat but not without a promise of their return.
After that earth and human kind was left to pick up their broken pieces, they might have won but at what cause, more than half of human kind was lost in the war.
It was the idea of the new seven heroes to unite everyone under one empire.
Due to the havoc humans had to unite under one banner, an emperor and his 6 duke.
Why was stormblade chosen ?
If you think it was because he was the strongest or contributed the most, then you exceptionally wrong.
From quill's, stormblade contribution was at most mediocre.
It was Thorneveil and Raventhorn, who contributed the most respectively.
But my ancestors declined it and was not interested in ruling neither was Raventhorn.
Thorneveil was more into battle strategy and commerce while Raventhorn was obsessed with research, experiment and new discovery.
The two heroes bonded and became business associate with maevryn even till today unfortunately, but that's a story for another day.
The rest decided to make stormblade the pseudo emperor after maevryn refusal due to her passion for studying poisons and potions, making stormblade the next choice.
Years went by and stormblade became more greedy and power hungry, certain 'accidents' became rampant in the three dukes below him households.
Stormblade was a bloody coward, fearing the strong and oppressing who he deemed weaker than him.
Stormblade on a normal occasion would be too scared to anger the big three talk less of planning their death, everything would have remained this way if it was not ruined by the mere existence and arrival of his cursed spawn that illegitimate bastard.
Before his arrival all the stormblades ancestors respected themselves.
-----------------
Centuries have passed, humans have only become stronger and better, academies and research centers have been built to nurture and develop supposed future heroes.
History didn't write about the betrayal of some of the past heroes, if not because of quill's book, even I would still be unaware
That brings us to our generation, where I will eventually end the stormblades bloodline.
My coreband buzzed signifying a message has been sent interrupting his thoughts.
I looked down at it, only to turn pale in fright.
My parents....
My parents are back.
