Turns out the growling sound came from wolves. It is a pack of five. Jessica is terrified and she instinctively runs away. The hungry wolves chase her, faster than her. "NO!!" she screamed on top of her lungs. She runs toward the forest, hoping she could lose the wolves that way.
Her panicked thoughts are jumbled. She barely dodged a lunge attack from the wolves. Her hands and her eyes are shaking. "Calm down, calm down Jessica... Th... these are just mobs..." mumbled Jessica under her breath. The wolves are getting closer.
She raised her hand upward and aimed it towards the wolf in front of her. Unsure, but determined, Jessica shouted her first spell, "Rock Bullet!" A piercing light appeared like a flash and flies through the wolf. The wolf got hit in the eye but not enough to kill. This agitated the beast more.
Jessica, now know how to use her spell, spams Rock Bullet over and over again. The rocks hit the wolves, irritating them. One lucky hit managed to land a killing blow. There are four enemies remaining, but Jessica's mana points have run out. She is at her wits end.
The wolves already circled around her. She can't run back because of the tree. Hopeless, Jessica screamed for help. Tears run down on her face, her legs gave out. The wolves attack at the same time. She would only close her eyes, thinking it is over.
In her mind, she thought about her life. Her life back then was suppose to be a happy one. She was happy to help others and make others happy. She will always smile when hanging out with others. But all Jessica could see are the faceless strangers. She hated this peace. She wishes she could blow this peace away, like a magical blast. However, she can't.
A vivid memory appeared. The words are pretty much muffled and everywhere is covered in thick fog. All Jessica can decipher is "...Play...". Of course, "Play", she always play games whenever she had the chance. It's her comfort zone.
The travelling to other world novels made it too easy to live in. She is envious with the fictional characters. She hasn't finished a day. All she could feel is a warm river. It is a comforting warmth, until her eyes can only see the dark sea.
