"You are a lot younger than I thought you were. I thought you were someone who had an old soul, but instead, I got someone with Dragon Soul. A young dragon soul."
"And I thought I would see another old man with a young face, but you look like someone who fits in the British Museum."
And I am not lying. He looks like a mummy. His body looks like a dried corpse. If not for my sense and Sage Mode, I would think he is nothing but an ancient corpse. However, hidden underneath that corpse-like body is a torrent of power.
Like holy shit, he does not have any core, but the mana he releases from his magic circuit is equal to an Ultimate-Class magician back home. This man is a beast.
"Hah! Finally! Take that, Zelretch! I can now change my form."
"It does not count, old man. He is from another world. Hell, he is from a different worldline than ours."
"Bah! The bet is how long until someone tells me that form looks like a mummy, and you never say only people from our world can say that."
I look at Zelrecth and say.
"What's happening?"
"Nothing serious. In the past, we made a bet on how long it would be until someone said something about his form. He said it would take ten years at maximum, while I told him it would last for more than a century, and I was right. As the winner, I told him to use that form until someone tells him that his form looks like a mummy or something that should be in a museum."
"Right."
I look at the old man and say.
"So… Can I help you? Zelretch says you want to talk with me."
"Nothing that important. I only want to ask what you want to come in here."
"Trutfully? Nothing. I come here at Zelretch's request to heal the planet. I owe him one and decide to help. Yasaka is the only one who wants to explore this new world."
"Yasaka? Ah, you mean the Nine-Tailed Fox, right? She is powerful, but I can see something is preventing her from using her full power. It is like a source of power is missing."
Can he see her connection to Kyoto's Leyline? Impressive. Well, he can see my soul. I guess that is not a surprise.
"Well, she has her reason."
"Not willing to tell me, huh? Fair enough. Well, as long as you two do not do anything too destructive, we are more than willing to accommodate you and your wife, Ryan. May I call you Ryan?"
"Sure. Call me Ryan if you want. Speaking of accommodation, can you guys help me secure a hotel or something? I want to take Yasaka to go around England."
"Bah! You should be that man over there."
He points at Zelretch, who gives the old man a grin.
"He is richer than I am. That bastard has access to infinite worlds but never gives me anything."
"Don't be like that, Brishisan. I love to give you something, but your request is outrageous, you know? Getting the heart of a thousand-year-old dragon is something that even I cannot get without extensive preparation."
Zelretch looks at me and says,
"As for your accommodation, you can use one of my vacation manors just outside London. You can use that as your temporary stay."
"Thank you. Also…" I look at the director and continue, "Sorry about them. It looks like someone is sending a guardian for me."
I look at the Counter Guardians behind me and see him release a sigh.
"Right. Well, at least they are here, not as cleaners but as guardians. I want to say that I can ask them to leave, but I am not that suicidal. Just make sure not to ask them to wreak havoc, please. The previous incident already gave me a headache."
"Of course. Also, sorry about that. The planet immediately ties me and unloads all of its problems on me. I cannot do anything but suck it up and make sure I am not dead from all the negative energy. Anyway! Is there anything else?"
"Nothing of note at the moment. Please enjoy your stay in this wet and sad country."
"You live in this country as well, you know?"
"Not because I want it to be! If not for the fact that the corpse of Albion is sitting underneath this place, I would leave this sad and gray place."
I know the weather in England is mostly rainy, but is it that bad? I love rain. Well, it comes from someone born in a tropical country where rain is one of the seasons, alongside scorching heat.
I shake my head and leave the room. While walking, I look at Zelretch and say.
"So… Which world do you send Yasaka into?"
"Hmmm? Kaiju world."
"Really? What kind of Kaiju world? The one who cannot fight or the one who builds giant mecha to fight the Kaiju?"
"The former. It is the same worldline as this one, but the magic in that world disappears because the planet goes all out in taking away magic. Sadly, something from outside of the Milky Way galaxy arrived and gave birth to the kaiju."
"Does that world need help?"
"Nah. Yasaka's involvement already makes the trajectory of that world a better timeline. They need a full sample from the Kaiju to create weapons to fight them. Most of the timeline requires them to spend a decade of constant fighting to finally get a good sample from the Kaiju. However, with Yasaka killing the Kaiju, they will receive the sample faster."
"Right. That is good to know. So, where do you want to take me next?"
"What about I show you around London? There are a few restaurants I think you will like."
"Do they have Fish and Chips? I want to try one."
"You come to England and you want to try fried fish and fried potatoes."
"What? That kind of food is known in this country. Next time, don't promote Fish and Chips as your national food."
