Ivan's POV
Cindy and I chitchat as I escorted her home. They just moved in but they've managed to keep the place neat. I thought and complimented. I rushed back home to find Eric and James awake and watching sports in the living room.
"where did you go bro" Eric asked.
"Nowhere" I replied and rushed to my room to freshen up.
I check my phone hoping for a call from Chloe but there was none and that drove me insane. I tried calling her all night but her phone was switched hope so I was planning on seeing her at her place today. I quickly showered and came back to my room to dress up. I drew my curtains and naturally looked at the opposite window of my neighbor's house. The window was wide open and inside was a girl whose back was facing me.
"She might be the daughter she was referring to" I thought and went back to check my closet. I threw on a pair of black faded jeans and a black t shirt . I am in love with black and almost all my clothes are black. I rubbed my hands in my hair, pushing my fangs back in place and took my keys.
"When will you leave..I'm heading out" I asked the boys when I descended downstairs.
"Ermm I have no plans for today so I guess I might stay for a while" Eric replied
"I'm leaving with you" James said throwing on his shirt.
"Alright then" I said grabbing the keys and heading to the garage. James sat at the front next to me and tuned in music. The drive was quiet since I was thinking about how to talk to Chloe calmly. I dropped James at his work place. He was a salesman at one of the supermarkets down the road and it wasn't far from Chloe's place. It was a 15 minutes drive from James's workplace to her place. I called her several times before reaching her place but she wasn't picking up. I love her so much that I hate the control she has on my feelings. I wish I couldn't give a damn about her but my heart wouldn't listen.
I got out from my car after parking and rung the door bell. It took a few minutes before a short woman came to open the door.
"How may I help you?" she asked confused.
"sorry..I am Ivan , I'm after Chloe..is she home?" I asked.
"Yes she is but does she know you are visiting?"
"No please..I wanted to surprise her" I scratched the back of my neck.
"Come inside then" she said and led me to the living room. This wasn't the first time I was in her house but this was the first time I was meeting that woman.
"Chloe!" she called out after offering me a seat.
"What's up Naana" she replied and I guessed she might be her nanny or that was her name
"someone is here for you" she said and went to the kitchen. Chloe descended the stairs in a shorts and a crop top revealing her belly button. Her hair wasn't tied up and she looked more prettier. "Ivan?" she said surprised when she saw me , almost turning away.
"Wait Chloe please listen to me" I said moving towards her.
"What do you want?"
"To talk " I replied
"Say what's on your mind and leave I'm busy" she replied.
"I know you don't believe me but trust me that girl stole a kiss from me yesterday.. this is what she wants for us to fight..I love you Chloe and I want you to give me a chance to show you how much you mean to me " I said horribly. I'm not good at expressing my feelings even though I feel so much for her
"I know " she replied to my surprise
"I sent her to you so I know whatever she did but I'm angry with you for not coming after me yesterday .. how could you Ivan when you claim you love me so much"
"Did you really set me up Chloe ..jeez!" I said feeling stupid.
"It doesn't matter now what matters is that you watched me to drive whilst you knew I was angry"
"I was hosting a party Chloe and you know I tried to stop you"
"Wow ..so your stupid party is more important than me ?" she replied angrily.
"Do you remember what you said to me before leaving..you said I wasn't even your boyfriend and I want to change that" I said confidently.
"what do you mean" she replied nervously.
"Be my girlfriend" I said taking her by surprise.
"Ivan ain't we rushing this" she replied unsure about whether she wanted me or not.
"You love me Chloe .. right?" I asked
"Yeah ..but.."
"No but.." I said and leaned in to kiss her. Her lips were soft and the pear flavoured lip gloss added a refreshing taste to it. She hesitated for a while before giving in . she opened her lips lightly and my lips traced in for hers. This wasn't the first time I was kissing her but this kiss felt so special..my heart was racing and I didn't want to stop kissing her. We stopped when the woman walked in and giggled. I looked down feeling embarrassed and Chloe teased a little.
"I will be your girlfriend" she replied and I hugged her excitedly.
