the news of Bruce bringing Emilia lunch spread through the school like wild fire, so much for trying to keep a low profile, now everyone in the academy was curious about the new girl that made bruce break the school rules. apart from the fact that nobody dared to question him even the high authorities about breaking the rules but he was right no one punished her either for eating past lunch time, she was only met with curious glances and whispers behind her back
"What have i gotten myself into...i just got here" Emilia murmured to herself while rubbing her forehead, she had just passed a group of girls and she could already hear them whispering about her, though it won't be considered whispering cause she could hear them loud and clear
"isn't she the girl Bruce brought lunch to...whats so special about her though"
"right she looks ordinary to me, do you think she's his mate?"
"that's absurd...his mate is definitely Andria"
'who the fuck is Andria' Emilia thought, turning her head she said aloud "if you're going to gossip about me behind my back you should atleast do it so i can't hear" making the girls scurry away quickly "cowards" she snarled
"they're definitely jealous of you, can you believe bruce himself came to see you personally" a high pitched voice tutted beside her, of course she almost forgot she got a friend, an angel who won't stop talking, Emilia didn't respond to her, her mind was occupied on how she was going to run away without anyone noticing now she has become the headline for the academy's gossip.
they were walking through the hallway, Emilia intended to go to the school library to see if she could get some more information on the school or maybe a second map back home, she also needed to find away to contact her driver richard, her phone was practically useless with no service. after turning into countless hallways the next creepier than the last. they walked into a huge double door that stretched to the ceiling, it had strange inscriptions and patterns that Emilia couldn't make out, not like she wanted to.
"are you sure this is the library, Camilla" she asked looking skeptical at the huge wooden door, it looked like she would walk into some ritual in here than rows of books
"of course i'm hundred percent sure, during the school tour they brought us here and called it the library" Camilla responded
'school tour....how come she didn't know that happened' lost in thought the double door opened on its own making her jump "what is with doors and opening on their own" she complained glaring at the door
"oh its just a general spell the chancellor casted on the school" she began again, Emilia glanced at her wondering how she had all the answers to the questions she asked ".....you know its kind of a hassle to constantly open doors, plus the fact the doors are huge and very heavy so instead of going through all that trouble trying to open them, the doors could just open on their own"
"i see..." Emilia replied indulging her while walking into the large library and instantly regretting it "yes...it was either doors that open themselves or giants opening the doors for you. but the doors open until dawn when the sun goes down the magic stops working...i heard the chancellor did this to stop students from snooping around after lights out"
'who would want to walk around this creepy school after dark' she thought to herself, after what happened last time there's no way she was walking around the school unsupervised.
"um....Emilia, i would have to stop here, i have something to attend to and i can't be late"
Emilia turned watching the girl retreat with a bright smile, returning the smile camilla added "see you later" waving her hand while walking out the library.
watching the large door close behind her, she turned around to look at the huge library, it was bigger than she expected 'ofcourse no bulbs only lanterns' what else did she expect, thankfully it was still daytime, light seeped in through the equally large windows making the place less creepy, walking into the rows of shelves she just needed to find some books borrow them and get the hell out of this library.
"let's see im going to start with finding a map of the school, that would come in extra handy" she said to herself, reading the indications on the various shelves to guide her. noticing some parts of the library were darker than the other she picked up a lantern walking carefully through the rows of shelves.
after ten minutes of trying to find the map on her own, she gave up "i'd better ask someone for directions before i somehow get lost in the library" turning around she finally noticed she was most likely the only one in the library, like a bucket of cold water pouring on her she shivered "not again"
back tracking her footsteps to go back to where she began, she noticed she had somehow wondered into the dark part of the library, her heartbeat accelerated no fucking way was this happening...she wasn't getting lost in a dang library.
"ahn please be gentle" hearing moaning Emilia's ears piqued, relieved that atleast she wasn't alone in the library, they could help her find her way through the library, she wasn't even bothered by the fact they were making out...its a free world as long as she gets what she wants and leaves they could have the whole place to themselves
"be quiet, i won't let you go if we get caught" a male voice whispered trying to shut up the girl he was pouncing on "but it hurts" the girl whinned
"it's going to hurt even more if you're not quiet" he replied
'what a nice man to be with' Emilia scowled, she followed the sound of their voice to get to them expecting to walk into a make out session, her eyes almost fell out from their sockets and her jaw to the ground
she watched the guy bury his teeth in the crook of the girls neck sucking her dry, blood dripped down his mouth while the girl's white shirt as stained with blood. shocked by the sight she drops her lamp, grabbing the attention of the duo, stepping back in fear, she turned about to runaway but the guy was faster grabbing her by her neck and pinning her to a shelf
"you think you can get away with interrupting my meal huh..." the vampire said, tightening his grip on her neck
Emilia grabbed his hand on her neck trying to pry his hand away from her, she felt herself loosing breathe any moment now she was either going to choke to death or have her neck broken "I...I didn't..." struggling to make out words, is this how she was going to die, in a school library killed by a creature that shouldn't exist, what exactly would they write on her tomb stone
"pl...ea...se....I....didn't"
"I can't choke you to death no?" the vampire said burying his head in the crook of her neck "i haven't smelt something soo divine in years...i should make your death useful to me don't you agree"
having him smell her like that, made her skin crawl she felt utterly disgusted, kicking her legs as hard as she could if only she could get him at his most sensitive part, Mythical or not he still has a groin and she would love nothing than to hit it as hard as she could
"feisty i see...the more you fight the sweeter you taste...i promise to make this as quick as possible so i advice you stay still and let me finish quickly" he said baring his fangs about to bite into her
"sucking blood is against the school rules, i'd advice you to stop what you're doing" Emilia heard Micheal's voice, relief washed over her even though she was still being choked atleast she sure she won't die here, 'he's really an angel' she thought, completely forgetting she was mad at him awhile ago
"i said put her down Alex" Micheal repeated his eyes glowing faintly, it had changed from blue to gold
feeling herself start to loose consciousness, the grip on her throat finally loosened making her almost fall flat on the ground, Micheal rushed over holding her up
"i always get what i want" Alex said fixing the buttons on his bloody shirt, glancing at Emilia "I will get what i want" saying that he vanished
Emilia held her throat gasping for her, did that vampire just threaten her...no he was probably talking to Micheal not her, what did she do to deserve the threat all she wanted was books from the library
"are you okay?" Micheal asked her, trying to get a good look at her face, his brow drew together in worry
'how could i be okay, i almost died'
"I'm sorry i was late, let me escort you to your room"
"No i can find my way myself, you don't have to trouble yourself" Emilia said pushing herself away from Micheal trying to stand alone. seeing this Micheal's face darkened "the safety of every student in this Academy is my priority, and i also warned you about walking alone through the school didn't i?"
seeing his serious expression, the friendly smile had disappeared it was replaced with anger and worry, she gave up. he was right but she didn't walk around school alone she was just in the library did it mean that nowhere is exactly safe in this school "I'm sorry i will be more careful"
"you should" saying that he picked her up in his arms startling her, this was not the escort she expected about to protest she heard him say "this is the fastest way i can get you to your room...letting you walk will only delay me from my other agendas" hearing that she closed her lips 'oh well...i guess being carried like a princess isn't so bad after all'
they left the library, the vampire that attacked Emilia walked out between one of the shelves, a sly smile playing on his lips "A human in our prestigious Academy...what a pleasant surprise"
