Chapter 239 - Chapter 237

Seth is an evil God who is said to be at the same level as Osiris, the chief god of Egyptian mythology.

There is Erebus, the primordial god of darkness in Greek mythology. He is also a god who is no weaker than the chief god Zeus or Hades.

And there is Euclid Lucifuge, who is already a Satan-class devil. What's more, this devil is a great mage who is able to master various magic systems.

All three of these guys are not just anyone who could easily be dealt with. Each one of them is an absolute monster capable of changing the tide of the battle by themselves.

Gabriel knew that she had to keep all three of them occupied or else these madmen might destroy Heaven's foundation. And they also needed to go to the 8th heaven to check on the situation with God.

Gabriel took a deep breath, her eyes turning sharp as she made up her mind. She stepped right in front of Raphael and the bleeding Uriel, holding her golden rapier tight. "Raphael, grab Uriel and fall back right now. Take him somewhere safe and get rid of that cursed black magic."

"Gabriel, no!" Uriel coughed up golden blood, struggling to raise his head. "You can't hold off all three of them alone! That's absolute suicide!"

"I don't have a choice," Gabriel said calmly, not taking her eyes off the enemies above. "If they breach the higher levels or tear apart Heaven's foundation, everything is over. Go, now! That's an order!"

Raphael gritted his teeth, knowing she was right. Without wasting another second, he threw up a bright holy shield around Uriel, grabbed his shoulder, and retreated toward the inner shrine at top speed.

"You think we're just going to let you run away?" Euclid sneered. He raised his staff, and dozens of dark magic circles instantly appeared behind him, targeting Raphael's back.

"Don't ignore me!" Gabriel shouted.

In a split second, Gabriel's twelve wings flapped with insane force, creating a massive sonic boom that blew away the surrounding dark air. She vanished into a streak of pure golden light and appeared right above Euclid.

BOOM!

She swung her glowing rapier downward, unleashing a giant wave of holy fire that obliterated all of Euclid's magic circles in an instant. The raw force knocked Euclid backward through the sky, forcing him to block with a heavy magic barrier.

Before she could land another hit, a huge shadow fell over her.

"Too slow, little girl!" Seth roared, diving down like a meteor with his massive gold axe wrapped in red lightning and black sand.

Gabriel quickly swung her sword up to block the heavy attack.

CLANG!

The hit was so strong that the whole ground under them broke apart, turning the area into a huge hole in the ground. Gabriel felt her arms go completely numb from the Egyptian god's crazy strength, but she stood her ground and pushed his axe away with a sudden burst of her light magic.

Just then, Erebus silently appeared behind Gabriel like a ghost. He swung his dark sword silently, aiming straight for her neck.

Gabriel sensed the danger just in time and twisted her body to the side. The dark blade cut straight through her shoulder armor, spilling golden blood. She spun around and kicked Erebus hard in the chest, pushing him back, while shooting a bright beam of light from her left hand to keep Seth away.

"Abyss Ray!" Euclid shouted from above.

He finished casting a massive magic spell. Dozens of dark energy beams rained down on Gabriel from every direction, mixing with Seth's wild sandstorm and Erebus's creeping shadows.

Seeing this, Gabriel gathered most of her magic power into her sword and swung it straight towards the incoming attack.

BOOM!

A blinding wave of sacred light shot out from her blade, crashing head-on into the dark energy, the heavy sandstorm, and the shadows. The explosion split the sky in half, blowing away the clouds and sending hot shockwaves across the entire crater.

The dark beams were completely wiped out, but the sheer force knocked Gabriel back a few meters. She landed softly on the edge of the crater, panting slightly as her golden blood dripped onto the broken floor.

Then sounds of thick, heavy chains ringing out echoed through the shattered sky.

Before Seth, Erebus, or Euclid could even react, dozens of glowing golden chains burst out from spatial portals all around them. The chains moved like strike-hungry snakes, instantly wrapping around Seth's arms, Erebus's blade, and Euclid's staff, locking all three of them completely in place.

"What the—?!" Seth growled, trying to pull his arms free, but the sacred chains burned his flesh and bound his god-level strength.

"This power..." Erebus's eyes widened in genuine shock as he struggled against the burning holy metal. "It can't be!"

Euclid's face turned completely pale as a cold sweat broke out on his forehead. "These are the Sacred Chains of Judgment... Why are they here? Weren't these chains destroyed during the Great War?"

"Well, of course, this is because I crafted a new set of Chains of Judgment. " Roxanne opened a portal as she walked out wearing her Shaltier disguise.

She stepped out of the portal with a cold, mocking smile on her face, her deep purple eyes looking down at the three trapped enemies like they were nothing more than bugs.

"Shaltier..." Euclid muttered, his face turning even paler as his eyes filled with sheer disbelief. "No... Why are you here? You're supposed to be—"

"Tied down in the Underworld, right?" Roxanne interrupted with a cold, mocking sneer. "Honestly, I knew you guys were useless, but I didn't think you were this stupid. Did you really think starting a petty civil war would keep me busy for long?"

She tilted her head slightly, her deep purple eyes glinting with a terrifying lack of emotion.

"It was actually pretty simple," Roxanne said softly, her casual voice sending a chill straight through the plaza. "I just slaughtered every single rebel who raised their hand against me... along with their families, their clans, and anyone who even looked at them the wrong way. The Underworld is quite peaceful now."

A heavy, dead silence fell over the entire battlefield.

Even Gabriel and Raphael felt a cold sweat break out, exchanging uncomfortable glances at her horrific, brutal efficiency. As for Seth, Erebus, and Euclid—the three notorious villains—they looked at the young girl in front of them with genuine horror. At that exact moment, none of them saw a human or an angel; they felt like they were staring directly into the eyes of a true, merciless devil.

"How dare you do that? Do you know that your actions would drastically lower the devil population and the noble families? " Euclid shouted as his face became pale.

" So what of it? If these lousy nobles didn't want to live, why should I indulge them? For me, whether For me, whether they live or die doesn't matter in the slightest. Traitors are traitors, and trash only deserves to be wiped out."

Euclid's jaw tightened in utter disbelief, his eyes wide as he stared at the terrifying girl before him. "You're insane... You completely destroyed centuries of devil bloodlines just to end a war early?!"

"I call it efficient housecleaning," Roxanne said smoothly, flicking her wrist.

CLANK!

The golden Chains of Judgment tightened with a sickening burn, digging deep into Euclid, Seth, and Erebus's bodies. Holy flames ignited along the metal, making all three scream in pure agony as their magic power was forcibly sealed.

AAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
