At Sofia International Airport in Bulgaria, the pilot booked tickets for his companions to board a plane heading to Vienna, where it would land at the international airport there.
The flight was scheduled to depart at noon.
The head of the air base called the pilot to check on him, and the pilot told him: "We are about to leave Bulgaria and fly to Vienna. Right now, we are having lunch."
After finishing their meal, the pilot and his companions went to place their bags on the inspection belt. Once checked, they collected their belongings and headed to the runway, where the plane was waiting. They handed over their luggage and were then allowed to board.
The plane took off, soaring above Sofia, climbing higher and higher until the city disappeared from sight.
On board, the stewardess walked among the passengers, saying:
"We are flying in cloudy weather. Heavy rain may slow us down, and there could be some turbulence. We ask everyone to remain patient and calm. If there is any malfunction, the pilot will return to our point of departure."
She then asked the passengers to fasten their seat belts. The girl, Kasha, couldn't manage to fasten hers, so she called for help. The flight attendant noticed the light above her seat and quickly came over.
Flight Attendant: "Hi, dear. Would you like me to help you?"
Kasha: "Yes, please. I can't fasten my belt; it's stuck."
Flight Attendant: "Why didn't you ask your friend to help?"
Kasha: "They're sleeping."
The attendant helped her fasten the belt. Kasha thanked her, saying:
"You're always hanging in the air, just like my sister."
Flight Attendant: "This is my job, and it's full of vitality. Does your sister work as a flight attendant like me?"
Kasha: "No, she's hanging in that cloud that drifts between us."
Flight Attendant: "Maybe you miss your sister so much that you've turned it into a story. Forgive me, I don't have time to hear it now — the pilot is waiting for me. I hope you enjoy your flight."
Kasha: "Goodbye… but it will be cloudy, and rain will fall."
Flight Attendant: "Then your sister will come down with the raindrops."
Kasha: "That's the end of my story."
Flight Attendant: "You make me laugh sometimes. I hear many stories from passengers, and I even write some of them down."
She then addressed everyone:
"Dear passengers, we are now approaching Vienna International Airport. In a few moments, we will land. It's raining in Vienna."
The flight attendant asked the passengers to stand and prepare to leave, announcing that the plane had arrived.
The pilot woke up, looked at his fellow commander, and asked:
"Are we there?"
The captain nodded and replied: "Yes, I heard the stewardess say we've arrived."
Moments later, the runway door opened.
