"Did your mom really say that?" Evan Fairchild confirmed once more.
"Yeah," Ian Monroe nodded earnestly. "I'm going to save up lots of money too, and give it all to Mom."
Evan Fairchild felt his chest tighten.
'When I get back, I'm telling Claire Walsh to cancel all of Ian Monroe's future allowance!'
The plane hadn't taken off yet. Evan Fairchild turned the phone he'd just powered down back on and quickly dialed Tommy's number.
"President Fairchild! I just dropped Melody off at the hotel!" Tommy's voice immediately came through.
"When you transfer the title for the house, add my name to the deed."
"Yes, sir," Tommy replied.
He was completely baffled, however. 'Why had President Fairchild suddenly changed his mind?'
'Didn't he say to buy it in her name alone at first? Now he wants to add his own?'
After giving his instructions, Evan Fairchild turned off his phone again. He met Ian Monroe's gaze and elegantly adjusted his suit.
