Melody Monroe anxiously waited for the phone to ring. She kept telling herself, 'The only reason I can't reach Ian is that his watch must be out of battery! He can't be in any danger. Ian has to be okay.'
Rose Shaw sped toward the airport. Seeing Melody's anxious expression, she tried to comfort her. "It'll be okay. The police have probably found Ian by now."
"Yeah," Melody nodded.
The moment she had lost contact with Ian, Melody had Talia Mercer book a flight. Rose Shaw immediately started driving her to the airport to catch the earliest flight back to Rockwellburg.
Melody clutched her phone, waiting anxiously. The last ten-odd minutes had felt like an eternity.
Suddenly, her phone rang. She answered immediately, "Have you found Ian?"
"Mommy!" Ian Monroe's voice came from the phone.
Melody's racing heart finally settled.
"Mommy, my watch phone ran out of battery," Ian quickly explained.
"Okay, sweetie, I know."
"Mommy, I also caught two bad guys!"
