Grey looked up worriedly at his family as they stared at him. "Hey guys it's still just me you know."
Bumper was the first to speak. "Are you ok? that sounded so painful." His trembled slightly in obvious concern.
"It's not painful anymore I barely feel anything anymore."
Violet flinched slightly at greys words and lookded at him silently.
Jr just looked a grey with interest "Facinating so where are storing all these extra parts? Perhaps inside your body, are you able to turn into other things as well? And you said it doesn't hurt anymore so did it hurt at first?"
Grey shook his a bit while letting out a deep breath he didn't know he was holding.
"It used to hurt a lot at first but not anymore and yes all the transformations are stored in my body but I don't know how, all I know is when I eat something sometimes my body remembers a random part of that and I can later transform into that."
"Doesn't Jade have a missing tail and you just happen to have scales similar to hers?" Violet questioned.
"But wait if your level thirty two wouldn't you have a second ability like karmas second rune of protection." Snow asked.
Everyone nodded "yeah stop holding out on us bro!" Rosie yelled.
"It not that I don't want to show you my second rune it's just really dangerous. It is poison mist and I don't have the best control over it at the moment."
Violet clapped her paws together loudly "ok everyone it's time for bed we can continue this later."
As everyone complained they still walked to their individual rooms reluctantly.
"Are staying for the night?" Violet asked curiously.
Grey shook his head "no I'm sorry but I got things to prepare for."
Violet nodded gently. "Wait there for a second I have a gift for you."
Grey watch as she went into the messy kitchen looking through cabinets full of potions near a cauldron.
After a few seconds she came back with a small black box in one paw.
Grey stared at the box in her paw curiously "what's that?"
She just signed deeply as she opened it revealing five deep blue crystal tear drops. "It's my life's work these five crystals are condensed purifying energy frozen. You just eat one and it heal any injury deep or small."
She stared at grey with a knowing look that caused to look down in shame. "I was eventually going to tell you." He muttered quietly.
"No you weren't but luckily for you your moms a Damm good alchemist and healer who happens to know the drawbacks of most common runes including sound."
Greys naturally droopy ear seem to fall even more as he slouched nervously.
"I may not be as strong as the old village elders despite being a higher level because I specialize in healing and support so I know when someone is hiding a injury, and I know you'll likely get a lot more after you go back to that other realm in exchange for our new home."
The stood there letting the silence speak volumes letting them both come to a understanding.
Grey rushed in for a hug before muttering with a cracked voice "thank you ma… I promise to come home often and… oh!" Something just clicked in his head.
Violet looked at grey with curiosity "what do you mean oh?
"I just came up with two ideas one to deal with a small frog problem and another to talk to you guys whenever."
"Please do tell… about the speak to us whenever plan." She said firmly not wanting to worry about his future dangers at the moment.
"Well my friend Tony he has a mirror rune and used it to create crystals and then open a mirror portal thing to travel between the two points and I have a ability to whisper something in someone's ear from far away."
Violets eyes widened in shock "so if you combine the two you always be in contact with us!"
"Yeah I just need some practice and I can do it for sure."
Violet face turned ugly for a second "just so you know I've heard your using your body as a base to enhance yourself you may be able to heal with the Pure tears but that doesn't mean you keep doing… unless your chimera form has something to resist it or you naturally gain a resistance."
Grey thought about I'll ask Lily and Ted for help with that idea later.
Grey went in for one more hug before saying "thank you" and leaving.
Before going to sleep a swallowed a pure tear and layed down in his bed.
That night he tested many poisons and gases in the lucid labs trading area trying different combos searching for one specifically.
After many tests and hours he found a yellow gas that gave the results.
So grey continued to practice using his poison gases in unique ways.
"My abilities have always been supportive and speed based so I'll try to keep that in mind going forward my main thing before runes that even fool the elders were my traps and tricks." Grey smiled wildly
Grey woke up in a heap of black dust while being surrounded by a black gas.
"TCH! I decayed my bed in my sleep again."
A idea passed through greys head "hmm if raw sound energy inside my body boost my speed and power with some side effects I wonder what happen if I do the same with poison?"
Grey used his hearing and found horse sized ants in a nearby forest, about two hundred of them "hmm those are rouge ants they are shapeshifters that eat everything in their path whilst traveling."
A few hours later in the woods away from the misty hills grey sat down gasping for air surrounded by corpses and land infected with black cracks.
Grey looked at the corpse beneath him with yellow veins pulsing and a few decayed limbs was obviously the queen.
"Phew… ok noted no side effects but extremely exhausting. Now time to eat up and hopefully gain a new trait."
Grey felt his body absorb something "hmm if i didn't focus on it I wouldn't have noticed that feeling at all?"
He then activated it and was covered in a ant like exoskeleton that synced up with his poison rune on its own.
"That's new? I didn't know some domes could sync up with my runes." Grey was exasperated.
"So this is my True Power!"
Grey stretched as he slow got up and the poison gas around him started reshaping itself.
The gas reformed into an ant made of compressed gas.
"Hmm this almost like the earth doll I rode on that one day? I'll name you plague puppets." He touch it but his hands passed through it as it dispersed.
He quickly used his rune to reform it again and didn't touch it this time. "Ok that sucks? What else can you do… hmm attack that corpse over there."
Grey pointed at a nearby random ant corpse his plague puppet turned and fired some sore of acid at the corpse melting it.
'So their bodies have no defense but are toxic to the touch and they fire off liquid poison that melts things at enemies.' He thought to himself.
Grey tried making more and was able to make three but only able to control two at the moment leaving the third just standing.
Grey then tried changing their shapes and with their bodies being made of gas they could easily change their forms into anything he wanted.
After a few more test he could use different gases as a base for their bodies given varying effects onto others giving himself more versatility.
"I know medicine and poison are similar but no matter how hard I try I can't do anything except destroy with mine, why?"
Grey continued training for the next few days and visiting home every night even if only to chat with his family.
Finally the day has arrived outside of the misty hills the Six claws lead by golo met up with scarlet and her fox soldiers.
"Before we start just know the whole six claws name thing is only temporary we need a more powerful name." Marisa's as a matter of fact causing golo to chuckle.
