Cold... I'm so cold.... I want warm... I can't even open my mouth... i....
Amatesa snaps back to reality. "That was an odd memory. Why... was I cold? I've never been cold all my life, yet I remember being so cold I was frozen." She spoke aloud
"Was it as cold as it is up here? Riding on dragon's back in the sky is extremely cold. Dragons must have an immunity to it." Crescent asked.
"I can't compare it. Either way, we can't stop now. I won't let this feeling win." Amatesa said shrugging it off.
"Can you describe the feeling? I don't think you're feeling cold right now. It might be something else, something you never felt before." Crescent asked concerned.
"I can't put my finger on it. My body is starting to feel a bit shaky. My heart is pumping more intensely. And I'm having a hard time staying focused. I also never had trouble breathing before, but I am right now." Amatesa was saying.
"Should we stop?" Crescent asked.
"No, Ryuu is likely to destroy their whole town and close cities. We enjoy our life of peace but he's so enraged, he's going to start a war." Amatesa said while her legs were shaking.
"Can you feel what he is feeling?" Crescent asked.
"Yea, you can't feel your siblings? It's almost like we can mind read between each other. It only works for siblings, but we can sometime pass off thoughts or feelings to the other. It's apart of being a dragon. But this shaky feeling is from me, not him. He's already planning on his first seven spells to cast and what to use as back up options if they were to fail. He's so narrow minded he isn't even masking it." Amatesa explained.
"Their group ran into a bit of trouble. I can detour us around it. They are moving really fast though. They only stopped once. We won't catch them before he first strikes. At best we can pull him away and bring him home. There was already an army waiting on them as they flew ahead. People thought dragons were mostly extinct and then, POOF, five dragons flew overhead. At this point, avoiding a war is impossible. The humans will come for us. Now it's just a matter of being prepared." Chel stated.
"You think Ryuu will lose before we can there to help?" Crescent asked.
"Nah, he'd win." Amatesa said confidently. "That's my brother. A prodigy even among the dragons. He's a walking calamity if ever chose to be."
"Why has he always focused on strength? He's a dragon. His natural ability alone from that is enough to face most threats. Why did he need even more power?" Crescent asked.
"Hmmmm. I remember when we were still kids, he was going through puberty first. He said he had some weird dream that frightened him. His house was burning and his family was killed in front of him. But he said, the family he saw wasn't us. It was some other people he really cared for but they were all killed and he just remembers not being able to do anything. It was so real for him, he was shaking as he told me. He had tears in his eyes. I didn't know how to respond to him. I just said, 'You won't let that happen really? You would beat them up cause you're strong like dad.' And he hugged me and left the topic like that. I didn't think much of it, but he did start to focus more on strength around that point. He wanted to be stronger than everyone around and started recruiting people to make that happen including William. It didn't seem out of place at all." Amatesa explained reminiscing.
"Memories can be funny. But it seems like you guys forgot something that was traumatic that you saw in dreams. Some massive tragedy. By any chance do you remember how he described it?"
"Yes, he said it was hot. His skin was scorched and it hurt to move. The pain, the burning. It was hurting and he couldn't keep his skin off. Ouch, it's hot."
