As soon as they arrived home, they were denied access to their ancestral home and instead they booked a lodge to stay overnight. The next day when they tried to meet Ji Soo's aunt, they were informed that she had married and moved to Busan. They went to Busan where Ji Soo's aunt, instead of welcoming them, started blaming them for the misfortune of Ji Soo's grandparents. Baffled, they went to their relatives where they received the news that the property was up for sale. Ji Soo's mother, though slow witted, understood the whole scenario.
A case was filed against each other and at the end Ji Soo's mother won while the aunt was booked under forgery. Ji Soo's mother did not want to trouble her sister as she was now a mother of a daughter, so she appealed to the court of law to withdraw the case. Her aunt did not end well. She not only lost the property but also her husband. As soon as she was charged her husband filed for a divorce and threw her out of his life.
They entered the house after 5 years of battle against their own flesh and blood. After so much chaos and turmoil they settle down again, but things would never be as simple as it seemed. On the very first day of their return, they held a small dinner with their close friends and by 10:30 P.M they had switched off their lights. Ji Soo's mother decided to sleep separately, hence she occupied the ground floor while Ji Soo took over the first floor.
Ji Soo woke up to a loud cry coming all the way from the ground floor. She put on her slippers and ran towards the source as she had a feeling that her mother might be in danger. She ran on the stairs and halted right in front of the main door. As she reached for the knob, she heard a faint sob coming from the left of the main hall. She had an ominous feeling, her gut told her not to follow but she decided against it and headed towards the sound. She reached a point where the sound stopped and when she looked closer, she found herself to be standing in front of the mirror. She saw her own reflection but the next second her whole face transformed into an old woman who had no eyes.
She woke up drenched in sweat and felt really scared. She searched for her cell phone and switched the light on. She tried closing her eyes again, but she was so scared that she kept her eyes open till the early dawn. The next day Ji Soo tried talking to her mother about it but she herself became so engrossed with the house chores that it slipped out of her mind.
As the dusk fell, she remembered her dream and talked about it to her mother. "When you shift to a new place you often get a very nostalgic feeling my dear, do not fret over it. But if you want you can, sleep with me today", said her mother. Ji Soo thought about it and felt her mother might be correct, so she just laughed it off. She turned down her mother's offer and said, "I am an adult so it will not look good for me to share my room with my mother". However, they were anything but right about the whole situation and soon Ji Soo was going to learn it the scariest way.
