I've been swamped with meetings since Malia and I arrived in KMH this morning. Gael has been on a business trip since yesterday in Keith Perry's stead because the asshole is still missing—so I've been holding down the fort at the top floor. The men I have put to search for Perry still haven't found him yet. I'm starting to think the guy might already be dead.
Something buzzes on my desk and I start searching for my phone that's buried under stacks of papers. When I finally find it, a huge smile slides on my face. I've set an alarm for noon. I've crammed everything this morning so I can have the whole afternoon free. It had been planned that way for weeks now anyway that I'm supposed to leave early for tonight's event at The Manor, but I'm just leaving earlier than planned. I haphazardly arrange the papers into stacks on my desk, grab my stuff and coat, and leave my office.
